I liked the movie. But the point is the finale. Spoiler. Okay. By killing a villain, we kill all the lives he has repeatedly breathed into. Everyone dies. . Well, I had to. But the villain must be killed.
Return to Me is based on the book by Rat James White, and this fact provides the tape with a strong script, which is perhaps the main and almost its only advantage.
Of the minuses of the film, it is necessary to note in places extremely inconclusive acting (especially this applies to Katie Walter, who played the main character), as well as the slippage of the narrative and a series of repetitions in the script, and, as a result, some sagging in the dynamics. The film does not belong to the category of those who review, and the plot nuances quickly disappear from memory.
However, returning to the actors, it is impossible not to note the game of Nathan Kiyes, who portrayed the notorious neighbor of our newlyweds. It was interesting to watch him: his character turned out to be quite creepy and mysterious.
Separately, it is necessary to dwell on the visual component of this tape, since the quality of shooting here leaves much to be desired: the lack of clarity, excess in brightness and the presence of unsuccessful angles are too striking.
What’s really good about Return to Me is a decent final twist, obvious on the one hand, but no less spectacular and surprising even to the prepared viewer.
Despite the many shortcomings, the tape should be given a chance. If you do not expect much from it, then when viewing you can get any pleasure from a good and unusual scenario and the presence of a bit of originality in it.
Return to me - atmospheric, sometimes original and intriguing thriller with elements of horror, having, however, problems with dynamics, picture and acting.

A good and atmospheric film, when you consider the budget of the picture and the names of the actors – I think it turned out even better than I expected. Anyway, "Come back to me" flashed a good idea and managed to keep the screen while watching, which for this kind of project is a real achievement.
As you already understood from the description for the film, a guy settled near the house of a young couple, after that, as if in a dream the main character begins to die. And after each such awakening, she lacks oxygen and smells detergents, which gives reason to believe that everything may have happened in fact.
The idea of the film is somewhat similar to the idea of Darabont’s Green Mile, I will not go into details so as not to disclose the details. The finale of this film could not be predicted, I will not say that it is some sensational, but unusual and tough - it is true.
As a result, in the genre of thriller in recent years, only films with a significant budget are successful, which Paul Leiden’s painting absolutely does not. But the good idea and efforts of the actors made this film much better than its competitors.

The plot of the film actually causes genuine interest and desire to see the film, however, all the anticipation and general impression spoils the terrible acting of the actors. Yeah, it's terrible. Especially Katie Walder, who played the lead female role. But everything in order.
The idea is actually quite good - the life of a young married couple turns into a real nightmare in which they are invariably killed by someone. And in dreams it happens so clearly that Sarah (Walder) begins to realize that these night visions are actually real.
Immediately comes to mind the notorious “Groundhog Day” and living the same day, or rather, the night, the main characters. The only difference is that they do not remember what happened to them in the night. The idea of living the same event is not new, but to look at its implementation in the framework of a horror thriller film, is very interesting. It is another matter of how this idea will be implemented.
However, although the plot is interesting, it is not without drawbacks. So, it is not clear why Del's mother simply did not run away, and put up with life with a monster under one roof, preferring to this can of gasoline and life in the image of Harvey Dent. It is not known why the guy photographed faces, it is unknown how Sarah in an instant learned to handle a gun, while very picturesque walking around with him near the house - in the style of a cop sneaking around the corner. It is not clear why the psychopath, who committed his actions every night, cleaned up all his tracks, but left one of the main clues - a sweater in the washing machine. It is not clear why Sarah’s pregnant friend, instead of taking care of her future baby, not loading herself, resting more, took care of her crazy girlfriend, who imagines all sorts of nonsense.
As previously reported, Katie Walder as the main character is very weak and worthless. I can't believe that Sarah is scared or stunned to death.
The incredible grimace of horror, which is displayed on her cute face, at least in the scene where she sobs down the door, says only that the girl clearly missed acting courses, where elements of expression of emotions were practiced. The fact that the line was happening to her, what she had guessed and learned, does not seem to cause her absolutely no shock except to twist her face to the state of a withered tomato. Of all the faces that appeared in the frame, only a bartender played well by John Abrahams, known to the viewer for the first part of Scary Movie.
The only thing in the movie was the ending. Quite unexpected. In the rest - "Come back to me" - no more than a passing film, which the viewer will forget after watching.
But look at you. I do not impose my opinion on anyone.
Josh and Sarah lived peacefully until they met their strange new neighbor, Del. From this moment, Sarah begins to suffer endless nightmares, somewhere her husband is killed. Trying to be crazy, Sarah tries to figure out what the fuck is going on. And getting to the point.
A mysterious slasher, the wrong accents of which become more or less explainable only by the middle. Your experience can not be deceived, and it seems immediately clear that the crazed neighbor Del, whose parents killed each other in childhood, will certainly be involved in the strange story of Sarah. But with Del's story, the movie begins. Why shoot a potential maniac like that? Despite the fact that Paul Layden’s film has the rudiments of an erotic thriller, this path the director also goes very zig-zag. You're right about everything, but you're wrong anyway.
There is a suspicion that the author may be drunk, because with the arrival of Sarah’s nightmares, the movie turns into a very confusing tangle of annoying confusion, where the main character literally wakes up every five minutes with Ilya Oleynikov’s oohs from “Gorodka” (“YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!”), destroying only the emerging yet another intrigue. All this is quite funny, if you remember the old opus “Susan’s Insidious Plan”, where John Landis just got sick of this thing.
As it turns out, the rudiments of “Return to Me” lie in the field of literature. A movie has come out of Roth James White's novel The Resurrectionist, and along the way, a good twist will pop up, fixing the universal psychedelic. Unfortunately, neither the book nor the movie has anything else to offer. The main character does not particularly empathize, as does her cormorant-husband - the heroes of them are not particularly interesting and deep, and the actors do not shine. Events also develop on a rolled-up basis, without much effort to scare (only animals are tortured). In general, a typical passerby, able to please only a little bit with his mystery, as well as an honest and partly scorching finale.

Lately, it’s been harder and harder to find a worthwhile horror movie that really leaves a deep impression on my mind. It seems that everything worthwhile has long been revised, and the new is not released. It has already been burned many times about the likeness of horrors, such as “2 bedrooms, 1 bath”, “Ouija Board” and so on. That is why I am very wary of films of low quality, and even without stars.
The plot of the film is that a new strange neighbor moves to a small town and settles in front of a young couple who gladly welcomes the new neighbor. The guy is clearly strange, behaves suspiciously, somehow reacts strangely to the main character. And what is most surprising, with his move, the young couple have nightmares that look more like reality.
The quality of the film is very bad, the shooting is disgusting, but the unusual plot and the really frightening, blood-colding moments compensate for all the shortcomings of this tape. It is necessary to see what they came up with and how they submitted, just gorgeous.
Katie Calder is one of the biggest drawbacks of this movie. Yes, her face is quite mobile, but still extremely unpleasant. I watched the movie and didn’t feel sorry for her. I didn’t like the moment when she revealed all the secrets. She felt like she was not aware of the tragedy. Some unnatural emotions, poor facial expressions.
Nathan Kiyes deserves a separate paragraph. A wonderful actor, I began to fear his character from the very first minutes of the film. It was immediately clear that he would show us a bit of thrash. His look, his facial expressions, his movements, they are all filled with something frightening, incomprehensible, mysterious. On the one hand, you want to feel sorry for him, and on the other hand, you feel some danger. You know, like predators that are decorated with nature with something colorful. So with his hero, he lures his victim with his innocence, big eyes, childlike spontaneity, and there's something creepy behind it. In general, played on five plus, it is interesting to watch.
The film is not the best quality, but has a first-class plot and good actors. Against the background of all, Nathan Kiyes stands out for his charisma and attractive appearance. The film is worth watching, it has a short time, and the events are invested immeasurably.
In recent years, genuine public interest in the film is caused by the fact that it is based on a popular novel-source. All sorts of franchises from the unforgettable “Harry Potter” to “The Hunger Games” became a hit primarily due to the fact that their stories were carefully worked out by writers, thanks to which filmmakers received a virtually finished product that only slightly needed processing for the format of full-length films. The producers realized that on the bookshelves you can find a real treasure and with manic zeal rushed to look for new printed masterpieces, which could shoot another hit. It is also worth noting that the film adaptations are not only a long series of youth adventures with an element of fiction, but also all sorts of female novels ("The Simple One", "With Love, Rosie") and tense mystical thrillers. The latter can be ranked rather intriguing novel Roth James White under the name "Cadaver", capable of boasting a truly extraordinary narrative and many breathtaking plot twists that repeatedly make an indelible impression on the reader. Unfortunately, in our region “Cadaver” can not boast of special fame, but in the West he has already managed to thunder quite a lot, and therefore it is not surprising that later the writer was bought the rights to the film adaptation and in the genre of horror appeared a new remarkable project, entitled as “Return to me”. However, the presented screen adaptation did not become a hit. The reason for this is many factors, the main of which is not the most famous studio-producer, unable to compete on equal terms with the recognized titans of the film business. Also against the tape played the fact that in the cast there is not a single remarkable name that can only by its presence provide the project with acceptable box office. As for the director Paul Leiden, he is known mainly to fans of various television series, where he is trusted with supporting roles. Leiden, in turn, understood that he would not be able to become a star of the screen of the first magnitude, and therefore he decided to test himself as a director, taking on “Come Back to Me.” And despite the fact that the film could not break into wide distribution, Leiden is still worth commending, because on the basis of graceful material he was able to put a really interesting movie, which is not fair to consider a failure. The new director used the full potential of the project at full capacity and proved that he has something to tell us about and surprise us.
So, the plot of the film introduces a couple in the face of a novice psychologist Sarah (Katie Walder) and a croupier Josh (Matt Passmore), who live in one of the respectable sleeping areas of Las Vegas. Young people at first glance seem quite happy and souls do not like each other, but in fact Sarah turns out to be deeply unhappy, because she has been dreaming of a child for a very long time, only here it does not work. Quite naturally, such a disorder leaves an imprint on the behavior of the girl in everyday life and it seems that a serious drama with elements of tragedy is planned in the story. That’s true, but it’s not that simple in this movie. The real trouble for Sarah and Josh begins when a new owner moves into the house next door - a modest young guy Dale (Nathan Kiyes). Having decided that it is worth maintaining friendly relations with the neighbor, the characters go to him and start a conversation, during which it becomes clear that Dale is a quite pleasant young man, albeit with strange things. And after meeting Sarah and Josh, a real nightmare begins that haunts them for many months. Every night they experience their own death, but wake up in the morning and find that nothing terrible has really happened and that something so terrifying is just a figment of the imagination. But time passes, and nightmares do not disappear. And their main victim is Sarah, as Josh often works on night shifts and quite naturally does not stay home. So the girl has to be the son-in-law of the investigation into his own hands and prove that she is not going crazy, and someone cruelly abuses her body and somehow returns the whole situation to its original position.
Viewing the painting by Paul Layden at first does not cause any strong emotions, since it seems that “Come back to me” is another thriller about an abnormal maniac who plots against pious neighbors. However, the narrative is revealed with each subsequent minute and provides us with many episodes that can truly surprise and even amaze their viewer. The story of the looped scheme of life-death-life in itself is not new for cinema and has been used in such memorable films as Groundhog Day and The Edge of the Future, but the picture “Come back to me” brings an element of freshness to the seemingly more than once watched story. The director almost to the end hides all the secrets of the script, and we can only do what to assume. Of course, closer to the finale we finally realize everything, but you can believe me – you will be pleasantly surprised and can even applaud the creators of the film, from which nothing extraordinary nobody expected.
One of the main advantages of the film can be safely called a wonderful acting ensemble. And it doesn’t matter that you probably haven’t heard of the performers until now – they’ve proven that they can make us happy with their performance and have done their job with professionalism. The main focus is on Sarah in the performance of Katie Walder. The actress managed to reliably convey all the joys and experiences of a girl who wants to change her life with the birth of a child and can not find comfort because of the somewhat strange reaction of her husband, who clearly resists the desire of her wife to increase their family. However, Sarah is not going to scandalize and make tantrums, but rather tries to understand her faithful and carefully lead him to the right decision. However, her inner hardships have undermined her consciousness so much that we won’t know what’s really going on with her at night or if she’s mentally fine. As for male heroes, the most powerful feelings are caused by the eccentric Dale from Nathan Kiyes. He looks like he was born to be a maniac. In part, such a statement is true, but do not rush to unambiguous conclusions, because in his image there is one important highlight, justifying all the oddities of what is happening and sometimes even striking the imagination of noble connoisseurs of the genre, who in their lifetime reviewed everything that could be.
In conclusion, I want to say that the tape "Come back to me" actually deserves to be read. The plot of the tape causes genuine interest and does not stop for a minute, but develops right up to the final credits themselves.
