Life goes on anyway. The film tells the story (not without fiction) of the famous Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, how he gave high hopes in sports, and then got into an accident and was confined to a wheelchair. What a tragedy! But without her, the world would hardly ever recognize a wonderful singer named Julio Iglesias.
In general, a pretty sweet story, sometimes even very touching, especially about the boy Chino, with subtle humor and without much snot, although melodrama. It became interesting how in fact Julio became disabled, so whether the accident was just as stupid or not?
But the most amazing thing for me is the fact that half of the filming took place in our region of Murcia, or rather, on La Manga! Considering that the film in 1969, and recently La Manga celebrated its 50th anniversary, it was very interesting to see it young, deserted, not yet built up. They say that earlier on its beaches you could meet giant turtles, but then people came and went. You can see our small Mar Menor Sea and the islands in it.
The actress, who starred in the role of Luisa, then played not so much, and today, according to some sources, she is no longer alive. But Charo Lopez, who played Maria Jose, still “in the arena”, starred in many films, including Almodóvar, received Goya and other prestigious awards.
The songs in the movie are beautiful! However, I love the work of the oldest of the singing family Iglesias, so it could not be otherwise. By the way, it was only when I saw him here that I realized how much he looked like Enrique.
