Gandam, get back to animation. It seems that this first and only live action film about Gandham was watched by a dozen people. It is not clear who it is for.
With the extensive Japanese Gundam series, I am not familiar with the word at all. But it just so happened that I watched this movie. And I want to warn you against that. Even if you stumble upon it while browsing through channels (and it was originally shot for TV), I recommend you switch immediately.
It's not a good place. From a completely indistinct conflict about undisclosed warring parties, to graphics and acting. It’s like an evil army wants an artifact or a device (not completely clear) that can evaporate all the water on Earth, throwing it into chaos. Why are they armies? Who would understand? Why do they need settlers on other planets? Well, I guess you can catch it, but if you try hard. But, believe me, it will be very difficult for you to follow what is happening. For a great chance to fall asleep deep sleep after the first 10 minutes of the film.
If you are waiting for the action with robots inherent in the series, you can immediately squander for the last 15 minutes of the film, because it will not be anywhere else. Most of the timekeeping is slurred chatter and errands of the main characters from the army. Will the final action with poor graphics impress you even by 2000 standards? Only if it's ridiculous and poorly knitted. It even makes you smile. If the whole movie were like that, it might be in the category of ‘so bad that it’s good’.
But no, it's so bad it's so bad. And there's no point in expecting anything different from a TV Gandham movie.
