Funny, sometimes interesting. The movie "Dragon Warriors" (originally sounded like "Dragon Warriors") prompted me to watch one of the main characters - the evil wizard, Lord Tensley (or rather, I knew the actor playing this role). Since I really like James Marsters, I decided to watch this movie.
I will say right away that the first impression was not the best and I am sure that many viewers will have this opinion. A very appropriate question arises in my head: “What nonsense?” In fact, it is very difficult to digest the beginning.
The plot is a little naive and clearly with a lot of humor - the evil wizard sends his tame dragon to hunt. But he eats only those in whose heart love lives. A little later, the reason for such hatred for all lovers is found out, because Lord Tensley was rejected by her beloved girl.
For half of the movie I kept thinking to stop watching, because sometimes it seemed that such a fantasy is pure prank on everyone (and the audience too).
I ended up getting used to these sloppy special effects, silly jokes, and bad translations. The movie is getting more interesting every minute and I wanted to know how it would end. A cheerful performance turns into a good fairy tale, which can be seen on a weekday, for a rest from the hustle and bustle.
Indeed, at some point, a fantastic and comedy movie makes sense. The story turns unexpectedly and it becomes more pleasant to watch. I liked the dialogue, and some jokes made me smile unobtrusively.
If you think about it, fiction raises very serious problems. For example, a moment that made me laugh but immediately reminded me of our real days. The main character Camilan decides to marry a beautiful girl, but his father is against it, because she is an elf. After that, there is a dialogue with a friend of the protagonist, where they call Kamilan’s father a racist. I was also amused by men’s very honest approach to marriage. “Why should I get married so that my wife would drink me all her life?” This is an adult story, the truth is in the forehead.
There were many more moments that made me laugh and made me watch the film to the end.
I question the quality of the film. It was very clear that the actors play in front of the background, the special effects are children’s, but apparently this is the idea of the film.
The musical accompaniment was appropriate, I have no complaints. I can’t even pick out my favorite tracks. All in moderation, no frills.
Still, the beginning was pumped up, and with special effects in this century it was possible to work. I recommend watching, but do not rush to seriously evaluate the film. It's all humor and nothing more.
