Will perseverance and hard work do it? This movie reminds me of Bhaskara’s orange color of love. The same romantic, cheerful girl and the same favorite of girls who do not believe in love. Only the actors changed. Only Prakash Raj remained unchanged, and there and there in a cameo role.
To begin with, I’ve always been incredibly annoyed by girls chasing guys. It is, after all, the duty of the guys, and not to run, but to conquer. And when a fragile, gentle girl falls in love with a smug guy and begins, like a valiant knight, to come up with random meetings, improvised guys, to invent ways to achieve Him, impregnable and mysterious, is too much. Taking small steps is one thing, but actively developing and implementing a conquering plan is quite another. In my view, a man should remain a man and a woman a woman. But it was a lyrical digression to make it clear why I might be a little biased.
The smart daughter of a private detective falls in love with a stranger. Finding out what kind of man he is, seeing him in the detective cases of his father, hearing his theory about love, saying goodbye to him in the end - the girl does not lose heart. Meeting him a year later, she develops a whole strategy how to fall in love with him and the main point becomes jealousy (old and banal, but it works).
Hansika Motwani - Kayal. Cheerful charm. Believes in love. Purposeful. Immediate. Naive. Sincere. Hansika just perfect for the role of Kayal, got used to, imbued with the feelings of her heroine. I disapprove of some of her actions, but in general, if you omit them, she is sympathetic.
Jayam Ravi - Kamal. Jayam has been a source of revulsion to me for his professional qualities, namely his love of remakes: Jayam (2002)/Jayam (2003); Varsham (2004)/Mazhai (2005); Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005)/Something... Unnakum Ennakum (2006); Bommarillu (2006) / Santhosh Subramaniyam (2008). It is especially disappointing for the films of Siddhartha, who is difficult to outplay in comedic roles, especially in NN. But I watched his non-remake film and stopped snorting at the sight of his face. Decent game, I even liked it. Jealousy was particularly good. In other episodes, not without errors of course, but quite watchful.
About the plot: a few twists of the plot could be cut, add more humor, while removing a certain number of toilet jokes, slightly change the character of Jayama to be more realistic (such as he just jealousy will not change). In contrast to the orange color of love, there is more softness, warmth, types of romantic Paris. It's nice to watch heroes. Kayal’s style of clothing was chosen very qualitatively, to suit the city, but without changing the Indian mentality.
The soundtrack is pleasant to listen to, lyrical, soft, funny melodies slightly above average.
Cons, to put it briefly:
1. Kayal running after Kamal, her tricks;
2. Bad guy (albeit a little loudly said) + in love and stubborn girl * time = good guy = Love. Unbelievable.
3. Friend of Kamal. Extra character. You can cut it and the associated toilet humor.
4. Bad performance of Jayama in a scene with father Kayal.
That's all. The film is easy, sometimes funny, but not mine. For one view. I won't reconsider.
