Basics of Life The book on which this film was made I read a relatively long time ago - five years ago, if not six, and, to be honest, I remember it very vaguely. What has been postponed is that the book has explained in simple language a few basic laws of life, which are worth at least knowing, and even better to understand and use. So when I got the film, I watched it, by and large, from a clean slate.
Here's what I can say about him.
Technical side
The film is absolutely gorgeous! Those who made the film did not hesitate to use computer graphics, and, it should be noted, they are good at it. “Good” doesn’t mean the graphics are beautiful. In my opinion, “good” computer graphics in a film is one that helps to understand its essence, and not done just for the sake of beauty.
So, this task is just exemplary. Graphics quality, it is where it should be and does not distract from the essence of the film.
Overall, the film is very well organized. Rather, it should be attributed to the teaching, since it is completely filmed on the book, and like the book is divided into sections. This is very convenient, because when over time you want to refresh something in your memory, you can not look for the moment you need, but just open this or that chapter and watch it.
Artistic part
As I mentioned above, the film is more educational than artistic. But at the same time, there are good actors who played their roles well. The modern level of computer graphics allowed the director to resort to interesting solutions to implement the idea of the film.
The very idea is to convey to the viewer the laws of life as they were seen by Ron Hubbard (writer, philosopher and founder of Scientology). The film perfectly illustrates the idea that life is a game. It is demonstrated that nothing can come out of nowhere or disappear by itself and so on.
There are a lot of interesting ideas in the film that are worth knowing. I recommend the film to those who want to learn new things and want to better understand life.
