Turquoise rock From the first shots of this Japanese film, I was pleasantly surprised to finally watch a high-quality, modern, detective film. But after a few minutes, the opinion began to change for the worse, and by the end of the film it changed by 180 degrees. Although there was an intriguing beginning, shooting of excellent quality, special effects, a lot of “flashbacks”, but gradually the film turned into an ordinary Hollywood action movie, almost with a comedic tint.
Well, let's say that some of the Japanese bikers are closely connected to the underworld. (Although I have difficulty imagining Yakuza on bikes.) But, here is a Japanese hitman, constantly playing on the harmonica - there is a clear overkill. And, of course, the main villains do not have to be dressed in black capes and dark glasses, but to constantly wear a turquoise coat, it is too, too. And the most important scoundrel, as if the “chief”, descended from the screen of Gaidayev’s “Diamond Hand”. And if you add the shooting through the shot parts of the body, like Tarantino, then the detective becomes a farce. And it is not even in these external manifestations, and the plot itself, as you watch the film, becomes stupid and inconsistent.
The only thing that makes you want to watch this movie is the wonderful music. A well-known member of the band “The Birthday”, Chiba Yusuke made his project “Snake On The Beach”, which sounds in the film. And, if, to consider the film, just as an addition to great music, just as a video in a clip, then you can put this film the highest rating.
