"The Fate of Man" in Brazilian I liked the movie. It tells the story of the trucker João and the homeless Dudu, trying to help each other in their loneliness.
The story reminded me of Sergei Bondarchuk’s film The Fate of Man, some storyboards simply repeat the film of our brilliant director. For all the sentimentality, I would not call this film tearful, there is always the opportunity to block the tear duct, the script is written so that the audience themselves regulate this process, who will want to cry, and who will not.
The director's find is an unusual manner of cutting events in the film, they unfold slowly, like a roll of wallpaper, while slightly revealing us a new drawing and new information about the characters.
Also a great find, when in some moments of the film below on the van of João appear painted inscriptions with everyday philosophy, something like “Life is the art of drawing without eraser”, the words that no evil is eternal and all in the same spirit.
I can’t help but mention and would like to expressly thank the author of the idea of the film for woven the music of Roberto Carlos into the plot! He is one of my favorite Brazilian singers. And when I heard my favorite Roberto Carlos song A Distancia in the first shots of the film, I thought I was going to go into space! The song, by the way, was in tune with the mood of the main character at the very beginning, what happened in his life was described in the lyrics of the song. And at the very end, the same thing happened, the song described the state of the characters.
I will not even mention the beauty of the film. When João and Dudo go through the expanses of Brazil, the views are mind-blowing!
I recommend it to everyone!
