I have never seen such an in-depth study of the midlife crisis in film. At first, I was only interested in the appearance of the SHRK in this film, but when I started watching, I did not regret it. Excellent psychological melodrama comedy! It is recommended for everyone over 30! Even at 21, I was surprised by this movie. Many subtle monologues and dialogues about the family, about the midlife crisis, about people, life, etc.
I must say that in the introduction to the film, told by Shah, the picture is given an exact description - it is a piquant and playful story that happened to the exemplary Jaipur family man Ajay Prasad. He's over thirty. He has a wonderful wife Sunita and son Raj, with whom he is happy, calm and serene watching the two-hundredth series of Santa Barbara. Every day is similar to the previous one: work-house-work. Behind seven years of difficult family life, and our hero during this time, a little coughed up, lost the sharpness of life. Suddenly, he is invited to a wedding with relatives in Mumbai, where a lot of beautiful unmarried girls, where life is boiling with her temptations. There Ajay meets an amazing beautiful actress Chandney, with whom you have to spend a lot of time because of the broken air conditioner.
Let me tell you something about actors:
Anupam Kher (Ajay Prasad) - I liked this actor in "The Unstolen Bride", "The Time of Crazy Lovers", "My Heart Is For You", and "Passionary Love", but here he opens to the fullest. A wonderful comedian and tragic, able to convey the range of emotions gestures and facial expressions!
Pratibha Sinha (Chandni) is incredibly lively, feminine and playful. I think her immediacy and lightness are lacking in modern actresses. Outwardly, she reminded me of Mathuri Dixit. Almost twins!
Jugal Hansraj (singer in love with Chandney) is a cutie ready to fix this ill-fated air conditioner, charming Chandney in the end with his modesty, simplicity and sincerity.
You can think about the film and take a lot for yourself. In Hollywood blockbusters about forty-year-old virgins you will not see such sincerity, genuine emotions, experiences and such a deep philosophy.
9 out of 10
For an unconventional plot for India with a minimum of dances and songs and excellent acting!
