Little monster. She has been abused since childhood. I just wanted to protect her. (c)
It was a long wait for both the film and the opportunity to see it, and it fully paid off. I wanted a heartbreaking story — I got it by enjoying two hours that flew by instantly. The beginning resembles an easy everyday life that flows into a horror film with a ghost baby, and then into a real drama that develops rapidly and it seems that there will never be a good ending. I started thinking that I was crying over the final, already in the middle and I was not wrong, but these tears were rather happy.
Watching a child suffer is always difficult. I've never been able to look at this calmly, so I shuddered when Do Hee was beaten. Here are the grown-ups, quite intelligent, people who can not control themselves. It was disgusting to watch a man abuse his daughter just because he was unhappy. The saddest thing is that this is not new at all and it happens very often. The writers showed the first problem, which is so relevant at the present time and I cried precisely because there are children who suffer for this reason. Do Hee may not exist, but any other child could have been in her place. And after the viewer shows the second reason, which is interrelated with the first – drinking. In this small town, perhaps, only the girl herself does not drink, but as we see later, she tries alcohol forbidden for herself. It's a pity that women and men get together every day and drink for no reason. And we move seamlessly to another cause: disrespect for women. I never thought there would be a normal man here who didn’t care about his libido or try to cheat on the female gender. Thanks to the writers, I got it, albeit almost in the final, but this young cop saved my opinion of the men in this film.
They say that a child from childhood learns from his parents and if he is mistreated, he will never forget it, and in the future, he can learn something. The same young policeman who liked me so much said some great words that I remember. Little Do Hee was raised in a dysfunctional family, among people who showed her that she was unwanted and disgusting. They beat her, threw her on the cold floor, bullied her – and the girl accepted everything, only occasionally trying to escape from it. She grew up looking at her grandmother who liked to drink, at her father's loser who didn't know her life without alcohol, and at a mother who couldn't protect her child. And then perfectly fit the words of the policeman: “Do He strange ... she is not like the other children. Sometimes it reminds me of a little monster. Probably, these were the key words in the film that decided the fate of this young baby, who has long ceased to be a child.
And then we move on to the main character, which, to be honest, is not the correct indicator of a savior. She's nice, but she also likes to drink. For some reason, the truth was not shown to the viewer, but they gave an answer that a woman simply cannot sleep. The moment before the finale where she gets drunk and yells at Do Hee for the first time made me sob. He perfectly showed that alcohol and the savior will make an animal that is capable of anything. How good it is that the little girl learned to calm her savior - I would not like to see another person bully her. But as for the girl herself, then the phrase fits perfectly - she warmed a snake on her chest. That was the final for me. Maybe we should be optimistic and try to imagine that they will do well, but I don’t see a happy ending for these two.

How little does it take for Do Hee to go from being an innocent child to being that little beast that can frame its savior at any moment, if necessary. After all, a child can not come up with a difficult plan, play his part, and then cry without stopping, as if she was not guilty of anything. Before my eyes is the further life of the main characters. It will be very difficult for a woman, I am sure.
