I like art house tapes, especially for their discerning slowness, large emotional plans, the immersion is instantaneous, but this did not happen here. I will not say that the chosen topic leaves indifferent – a person comes out of prison and tries to improve his life, but the past and then reduces his attempts to nothing. All these soul-searching, endless proof of their change for the better for everyone and everyone presented in a frozen form. He suffers but forgets to do anything. One tragedy of a man who moves only because it is necessary and then especially not zealous in it. If he doesn't really want to change things for the better, then I didn't find it necessary to empathize. Fewer smoking faces, more dialogue, look and the problem is solved, and only lung cancer as a prospect.
Plus the picture is that it is able to hold the screen. The plot is presented, so that all the past “jambs” of the main character are revealed gradually, explaining the behavior of both the other characters and the hero himself. There is, albeit a translucent hint of mystery, which at least slightly warms up interest in the film.
The film can be recommended for viewing, the main thing is not to forget to arm yourself with patience and maximum sympathy, and so, of course, it was a bit boring, but this time it will do.
I wish someone a pleasant viewing!
