Behind the scenes shooting a romantic talk show like "The Bachelor."
Beasts are different, here for example, it looks like a charming and wound up assistant executive producer. A kind of credible clone of Tina Fey, she is a genius of manipulation, who in five minutes can bring a participant of the show to angry tears in front of the cameras and generally make you do everything you need. She’s not a bad person, just a job. In the show, not only syrup romance is needed, without scandals / intrigue / investigation, ratings fall.
I like production dramas in general in all kinds, and here the more very evil, black satire. It looks like "Antourage" (plus Constance Zimmer from there as the boss), only more cynical by order. And this show loves its characters very much, there are all the characters that are called “with a hinterland”. A wily “prince” from a wealthy family, who urgently needs to correct the reputation spoiled by prostitutes and who is ready for literally anything for the sake of investors in his grape hotel. At the same time, a good guy, even has some principles, just desperately wants to break away from the family with a powerful millionaire daddy.
Extremely rational and cynical producer Quinn ("I have a girl on the roof, and there is no camera nearby!"), who does not even try to pretend to be a conscientious lady and for whom all the surroundings are just tools for creating a spectacle. And who will easily come up with an excuse for any nasty thing like “we’re just helping her face her fears, that’s good!” However, it has weaknesses under the meter shell.
Almost all nymphs of varying degrees of naivety, who are kept in information isolation about what fools they are portrayed in the show, have their backstory and their cockroaches (and their nicknames: “Villain”, “Bitch”, “Slutty”, MILF, “Horse”, “Woman”, etc.).
The main character Rachel generally wanders like a tortured somnambulist on the site, torn at the same time by conscience and pleasure from a well-done job. At the same time, she looks like such a sweet sincere slob that the conflict between her words and deeds just stupores and you can’t understand how much she believes in her excuses.
Perhaps the best novelty of the summer season.
