Probably not. No, probably not. There is a lot to think about, but...
You might think that this is a headline from someone who once thought that humans wouldn't go into space -- that's not possible. And now denies the pseudoscientifically substantiated position of the members, the Venus Project. Yet how to support people with the theory that (I exaggerate, but not much) people, every single one (except, perhaps, with congenital abnormalities, it was not noted) are born the same, I emphasize, the same, and all their differences are only the product of the influence of the environment.
Example: people are lenses, the environment is a beam, and the image (the result of the passage of the beam through the lens) from the beam with any characteristics will be the same as a result of the refraction of any of the lenses. Simply put, all people in the same way (equally in this case, not speed, but only quality characteristics) process information from the environment and draw the same conclusions accordingly. Therefore, if two newborns are placed in the same environment (something like two identical worlds, as in the movie The Truman Show), then almost identical adults will grow up. The epilogue of the science of behavior will be the prediction of the actions of any individual, knowing all of it, the variables of the environment.
If this theory is correct, then it is impossible (maybe this will change) to create a controlled environment, even for one person and even more so for several, because even the slightest event can have a significant impact on human development.
If this succeeds, will society accept this path, will it adhere to it, will no one want to use it to their advantage? For a conscious transition to the rails of civilized development, the world society needs incredible unity. And where will it come from? This is not just a beautiful utopia, it is perhaps a terrible nightmare, a world in which man is not simple, not unique, but humanity is an impersonal, impersonal society. No, it's not society anymore, it's just the population of the planet.
It is worth noting, however, that Jacques Fresco is a philosopher whose opinion is difficult to ignore and his project is charitable. Yes, the value system is of great importance both for the development of the individual and for the development of society as a whole.
Many people talk about the problem of unfair distribution of resources, but to say that money is evil, and then to devote the lion’s share of the film to the fact that they are stolen from us is absurd. Is money the insurmountable obstacle to equality as a means of ensuring commodity exchange? Perhaps, but how can we overcome this obstacle?
Once again, raising the issue that we are approaching a catastrophe, that we are destroying the planet, that the system is built to meet the needs of a minority, we must take into account the fact that the possibility of solving the problems posed by a number of not indifferent groups lies outside the framework of the unorganized majority, and that it is necessary to raise the question of solving these problems before this minority, who does not need to watch this film. Otherwise, you need to finally present a plan for solving these problems for the audience of this film. But this is a revolution, isn’t it?
