Delon and the French variation on Bridget Jones This tape can be considered in two aspects. First of all, we have one of Delon's latest films. And it's okay that the master starred in a fairly small role. This is important in itself.
Well, the second aspect is related to the theme of the tape. Before us is nothing but a French sketch on the topic of fashion ' Bridget Jones'. The heroine finds herself in a glossy magazine and before marriage it turns out that she has invented too much about her origin.
For all the secondary in this plot there is intrigue, there are characters, there is life. And if the main character is not particularly interesting - a provincial from the north seeks to conquer Paris, like d'Artagnan, the actors of the second and third plan show the most interesting portraits. Isn’t it interesting that Jean-Luc Bideau, the depressed owner of a weaving factory, is interested? We are shown a hereditary manufacturer who turned out to be useless to anyone with his lace in modern France. And the hero combines power and cruelty with a willingness to accept the challenge and naively believe in victory. This is not a portrait at all.
The same words can be said about the heroes of Alexander Varg and Philip Bas. A metropolitan whip that never seems to have encountered difficulties and a seemingly uncouth rural inventor. When they come together, very interesting situations arise. We see two leaders who do not fully understand themselves, who do not understand their power. This dubious story with the heroine should serve as a springboard for them.
As for Delon's character, it's more of a comic book role. All this vaudeville needed a real snob, an ambitious and die-hard scoundrel. Just such a character and ' draws' a living legend. He didn't seem to be straining much.
Meanwhile, the creators of the tape were able to convince me not only to watch it to the end, but also offered some really comic situations. I wouldn't call this tape a pass. Quite pleasant ' soft comedy'
