"Sandstorm" is a very pleasant and warm film, filled with good music and sparkling with the emotions of the actors. Despite the rather unpretentious plot, this low-budget tape can melt the hearts of even the most cynical viewers.
So, the story is simple - the main character suffers from failures in finding his place in life, in love he is not lucky because of a sad experience in the past. And on another sad day, he meets his past - the girl who once broke his heart. She's also having relationship problems, and he met her miraculously. Traveling through the bars, they will talk a lot and nothing, balancing on the edge until finally all the unsaid is out. And all this is accompanied by the songs of street musicians, whose lyrics very accurately reveal the inefficiencies between a man and a woman.
We don’t know about the past and future of the heroes, we only see a moment in their lives that may change their lives.
Thanks to the excellent play of Colin O Donoghue and Kristen Gutosky want to empathize with the main characters, whose characters they brilliantly reflected.
The use of the fashionable effect of the “shivering camera” and subjective shooting allowed to achieve a sense of belonging to what is happening, the viewer as if one of the visitors to the bar, who accidentally witnessed the relationship of the characters.
“Sandstorm” is a well-built and beautifully shot indie musical, in which the plot and music are closely intertwined and interact with each other.
Without music there is no love, and without love there is no music.
Definitely worth watching
