Behind the masks of the face of loneliness suffer... A subtle, sensual short, like a protest against suicide. The film tells about depression and mental disorders in men, as they are. To date, this is a very rare topic. Without any preface, we are watching a young man walking. Life beats around, children laugh, carousels spin, so many colors ... and he does not notice this - his world is painted in gray tones. And thanks to the incredibly subtle play of Colin Morgan, the viewer seems to live these moments of despair with the hero. Fun is like an echo from a distant life, and inside is emptiness. The empty, alienated look of the hero conveys the whole gamut of bitterness that engulfed him. Twilight only exacerbates this condition. These feelings, amazingly conveyed by the actor, touch to the depths of the soul. No one else could have played that role. A look combined with a simple guitar melody causes goosebumps on the back. And at the moment when the hero enters the sea, the heart stops from tension. And at the same time, minimum words. Play with eyes, gestures, silence.
And the main plot twist is built on such a simple truth: there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. When someone needs you, your help, it can be a kick in life, awaken a taste for life. Someone else’s trouble can turn you into the future. Therefore, you should never leave people in a difficult situation, but you should reach out and show that you need a person. That's the message of the movie. And the fire on the night bank is like a metaphor, a symbol of life. The film leaves a strong impression, for fifteen minutes you experience a storm of emotions, feel the heaviness and relief of the main character on yourself. Words are hard to convey what this short film feels like. Colin Morgan's rare dramatic talent should be applauded standing. That's brilliant!
