"Dark Signal" can not be called a junk film, since its authors really put a lot of effort into making their film different and breaking out of the template genre shirt. Even more – if some failed key episodes, the tape could indeed be called fresh and original.
In fact, there is a mixture of two directions of horror - manic and otherworldly storylines, and the director in every possible way tries to impress the viewer with an unusual combination of these two subgenres. Periodically, this approach justifies itself, and inflates a good atmosphere. A certain Ripper maniac has been rampaging for a long time, and here is a girl with her boyfriend going to “clean up” someone’s house.
Meanwhile, a well-known psychologist has been invited to the popular radio station, who is going to make contact with the other world on live radio. Both stories intersect in a fascinating way, although the director even prepared a daring “fighting” for the final, which personally seemed to me already too rich for such a simple film.
Not a bad movie for a one-time viewing, sometimes it was very atmospheric, and sometimes even scary. But unfortunately, minor flaws did not allow "Dark Signal" to become an event in the genre of horror and thrillers, although the tape is much better than many more expensive projects.
