So much about this series has been written and said that it will be repeated, there is no point. Watch and you will experience all the palettes of feelings! Bravo!
If we are from different worlds, I will find you, my Soo.
It was the first drama I was advised to watch first on my list of recommended dramas. I was still skeptical about the Korean film industry (I only saw “Train to Busan”, which broke my nerves and caused tears of simultaneous joy and sadness, as well as the infamous “Game of the Squid”, which also quite liked), but still decided to watch. The first episode went like a rocket from “Rat Runs”, and the whole series was viewed at about the same speed, and my condition at the end was similar to the state of the heroes after a trip on a rocket.
It starts out very nice, I would even say sweet. Charming He Soo, who came from the future in Goryeo, literally begins a new life. At the same time, she is still the same girl of the 21st century, with her own character, worldview and boundless good nature. This wonderful set immediately attracts the attention of the noble eighth Prince Van Wook, who by the way is the husband of her cousin. But at the same time, not on the first try, Hae Soo begins to forge a relationship with the mysterious and wild fourth Prince Wang So. And here begins the birth of not a triangle, but a whole square, but this for the time being. Then three more people will join the four. And even with such love intersections, everything was quite good: someone went to meet his beloved, someone acted not so zealously, and someone even tried to deny his love at first. And this idyll continues until the death of one heroine.
And then there are betrayals from those you trust the most, the killing of innocents, the fight for the throne of everyone and everything, and most importantly, that you continue to eat through the waterfalls of tears is absolutely bitter filling, because there is no trace of sweetness left, but you seem to still expect something. And yeah, here it is. This is the sweetest thing that comes back. Everyone lives happily, the main characters have been tested by copper pipes and now they have found each other.
But you know that doesn't happen, right? If you suffer, it's to the end. Therefore, the creators of this masterpiece decide to finish us off. They make every character miserable. Everyone is unhappy. Even those who got what they wanted. Yes, even the audience becomes unhappy because of the ending and the ocean of shed tears.
After watching, take some time to digest everything you see.
According to the actors, I can only say that everyone coped with their role one hundred percent. Lee Joon Ki is a phenomenal person. His transmission of emotion is delightful. I recommend watching The King and the Jester, where he appears in a feminine image. You would never think that one person could play that way. In the AS, this is a courageous and hot man, and there is a young and tender boy.
Kang Ha Nul is a sweet and charming person in life. In the series, he is a serious, intelligent and reliable man who turns 90 degrees.
Ayu is like a delicate flower with a steel rod inside. Not only in the series, but also in life.
And Nam Joo Hyuk. You can just drool on it.
And I want to highlight a huge amount of gorgeous music. Especially the song Im Sun Hae. (Will be back) in the heart.
I have watched, reviewed and will review. Finding something like this is difficult, so it will be a cycle of Scarlet Hearts.
I can't say I cried for three days and three nights and turned my soul inside out. There were tears, but the soul was still there. Still, it’s a strong, beautiful and insanely engaging story worth watching. It has everything: romance, fears, desires, vices, devotion, friendship. . .
1. The cast is really the best I've seen. Lee Joon-gi conquered me in The Flower of Evil and after Kore I fell in love. His ability to convey emotions in half-hints is something. A great actor who can do everything. Pleasantly surprised Chi Soo: in “Silk Do Bong-sung” left indifferent, but in “Scarlet Heart” opened to all 100 and forced to penetrate the character. Female characters are usually furious, but here everything is so subtly played that it is a pleasure to watch. Hye Soo is very strong: while watching several times I thought that I myself would have run far away.
2. The plot seems to be a typical struggle for the throne with a love line. Of course, this is and it is very interesting to watch the next move of the players. But it's a fight with yourself. All princes are hostages to their position. Every day they choose to kill or die. Who to take as allies, on whom to bet, to overcome greed and greed, revenge or release? In the end, choose love or throne?
Unusual love line. From the first episodes, it is not clear with whom the main character will remain, and then you begin to think: will she at least remain alive or fall victim to these palace games? Interesting is shown love in general: one speaks, the other does, the third silently waits. From time to time they change: the one who did only begins to promise, and the one who was silent suddenly turns out to be the best defender. There is a difference between ‘I will be king for you’ and ‘If you don’t let us be together, I will overthrow you’.
Personally, I have questions about this kind of love. For myself, I would choose Beck.
3. It’s been a long time, but throughout the series my opinion of the characters has changed. Usually, from the first episodes, it is clear who is who, you love and support the hero. But here... Delight! This is a powerful transformation: interest, sympathy, empathy, pity, hatred. This is largely due to plot twists and brilliant acting.
They say there is an alternative ending, which they preferred to leave behind the scenes. And I agree with that. Wang So made his choice and he had the opportunity to change everything, change everything, change his mind. Give him another chance in 1,000 years. Why? And eat a fish and not wash it in a pan? No, no. You make a choice, you take responsibility.
A great and moving love story through the years and millennia.
After watching the drama, I was very overwhelmed with emotions, tears of joy and despair burst out. No film or TV series has touched me so much before, so deep is the love story in the Scarlet Heart of Goryeo. Before watching, I saw a review: 'Warning: this drama will trample the soul and break the heart! If you don't want it, don't look. I totally agree with him.
The plot is built around a young heroine who is accidentally transported in time from the XXI century to 941, and enters the body of Hesu (Lee Ji-eun), a young girl from a respected family close to the royal court. She remembers the past, but cannot return home, so she will have to start a new life in a new body, find new friends, overcome all the difficulties of a new life, and find happiness. Doramu can be called historical, although the plot is colored by a fantasy part, because the story is largely close to the real.
The actors in the Moon Lovers are simply gorgeous, everyone is perfectly matched for their role. I'll tell you about the people who sympathized with me the most.
Lee Joon Gi as Wang So, the 4th Crown Prince, is truly magnificent. After the drama, I completely and irrevocably fell in love with his acting talent. His every emotion was felt completely by me. Lee Joon Gi was the hardest because of the mask, but that didn’t stop him from playing his role 100% sincere, sincere and strong. He played with his eyes and read everything from hate to love, from suffering to happiness. This character changed and opened up to us in a new way as his past surfaced. What a difficult fate he had, but it was this that allowed him to become strong, ruthless and great. And this was largely contributed by his father, the greatest king of Taejo, played by Cho Min-gi. The king from childhood felt greatness in the boy, and prepared him to become a powerful ruler of Korea. And although at the beginning of the series it seems that the king did not love his son, but this one did not, he was very proud of his son and respected him. What can you say about the mother queen, played by Park Chi-yeon? How can you hate your child so much? But to show merciless hatred, and to give the viewer a complete hatred of the actress managed magnificently.
Concubine O (Wu Hee-jin), who became a mother for Hesu, is a very kind and pleasant character who until the last defended his child. She doesn’t have much screen time, but that’s enough to see her huge heart. “Think every step, every moment, be careful, as if you are walking on thin ice,” she told Hesu, and the instructions helped the main character. Lee Ji-eun played a surprisingly sweet, tender and vulnerable character. She is so kind and naive that she almost lost her life many times. “You’re too trusting, too kind and fearless, people like you could die at any moment.” But thanks to her charm, Hesu won the love of many princes, and someone became a close friend. The heroine changes with the development of the plot, she grows up, becomes wiser, gains experience, and the tragic events around make her even stronger. And how beautifully she sings, her tender, sweet and sincere voice deserves special attention.
The drama Scarlet Heart is filled with love stories, interesting turns of events, friendship, honor, betrayal, the search for “myself”, wonderful musical accompaniment, and beautiful landscapes. There are many wise sayings that I want to remember:
“If you do not want to let go of the past, you cannot reach the future.”
Life is short, fleeting and fleeting.
It is a breath of fresh air, sincere, pure, strong and unblemished love. The one where you love with your eyes and with all your heart, giving yourself completely. If we are from different worlds, I will find you, my Su.
It should not be considered a bad end, it logically completed the story, and brought it closer to real historical events. I would give Lunar lovers a score of 11, but there is no such thing. So 10 out of 10.
The series is gorgeous and causes a storm of emotions! This is rarely the case.
And then... well, so faint that words are difficult to describe the whole fountain of emotions. I can't remember the last time the show made such a big impression on me.
Let me make a note: I may be emotional and impressionable. It is likely that other viewing will be smoother and calmer.
When there are historical characters in the picture, it is a big plus for me: there is an opportunity to dig into historical facts, compare them with what was shown on the screen, learn more about the characters. In general, good food for the mind.
And indeed, after watching, I want to climb everything I can. I went to the forums and read a lot of things. This is an exceptional case for me.
There is an element of fiction in the series: a modern girl is transferred to the X century in the era of Goryeo. This also adds to the interest.
The X century is so far and incomprehensible, especially in Korea. And thanks to such a plot twist, the subtleties of that time and culture are gradually revealed. It’s funny and sometimes tragic.
The first series gives a deceptive impression. The series seems very light, humorous, childishly naive. This is just an illusion of the first series. Pretty quickly the series will grow.
And the main character from naive, reckless, and sometimes daring (X century in the yard) is transformed into a completely different person. Wise, reasonable, and sometimes even compliant. And she has a reason for that.
The main characters.
There are many, but each of them is necessary and important. You get used to them quickly and get used to them. It is interesting to reveal them in different situations and turns of fate.
Curiously, the opinion of the characters can change dramatically from the beginning of the story to its end. That's exactly what I did.
Love line.
There are several in the series. All the more interesting.
The main love line, which is difficult to see at once, is space. When a person really remains faithful in spite of any circumstances and is ready to sacrifice not only what he has, but also himself. When love is an action.
By the way, the series shows the opposition: love in words and love in deed.
In terms of emotions, it's really deep.
Not only events, but also people’s experiences are shown. How they go through it, what drives them, how they cope.
Many beautiful examples of how heroes react to injustice and very dignified out of the circumstances.
As vice versa - inhumanity, greed, thirst for power at all costs.
Since it is a fight for the throne, bloodshed is inevitable.
Meat, blood and severed limbs are not mine at all.
For example, in Game of Thrones, such moments were savored and shown in as much detail as possible. Fortunately, that's not the case here. Just enough to know that it happened. I would even call the word “careful.”
The word “carefully” refers to the entire series.
Except for the ending... This is a separate story.
By the way.
I'm not deleting the show. The hand does not rise.
It feels like after a while you will want to review it again.
Conclusion: the series is gorgeous and definitely worth watching.
You are my only queen, or love through the millennium.
For many winters, I do not consider myself a fan of Korean dramas, but Scarlet Hearts back in 2016, when we all watched it ongoing as new series were released, I remember as one of the most masterpieces in the history of South Korean cinema. And then there was such wild nostalgia that it would be sacrilege not to review this series. And now, after the 20th episode, my heart is broken again.
What You Need to Know When Starting Moon Lovers If you are a person unfamiliar (k) or weaned from the TV series of this country - just do not throw in the half and go to the finish line. You won’t regret it, anyone who watches will. You may be surprised or even stopped by unfamiliar customs, foreign humor, language pun, and maybe, but only at first, and the play of actors. But all this will fade into the background and become native as soon as you drop all your daily problems and immerse yourself in the depths of feelings on the screen.
Such series are quite rare, especially in the endless sea of constantly released dramas in South Korea. The series, which may not be exciting from the first series, but after you go with them the way from series to series - you understand what emotional shaking your body experienced, you understand that the "lived" moments with the characters left an imprint in your memory, and many spectacular scenes filled you as a person. And for the sake of these scenes, you can forgive absolutely everything: sometimes unimportant play of minor actors or plot blunders.
The scene that you will see in the eleventh series, you will definitely look at several rows in a row and remember for many years. A scene that will tear your heart to shreds and dream the next night. The look of the fourth prince, the straight back of Su, the courage to confront the King and defend his love.
Let's finish with the praises, closer to the characters.
The fourth Prince Wang So (played by the incomparable Lee Joon Ki) is unhappy, angry and unloved at the beginning; noble, just, with a huge loving heart in the middle; and cruel, besotted by fear and a little mad at the end. So different actor showed his character. Korea has long been known as the Queen of Drama, but Jun Ki was truly born to play tragedy and drama of this kind. His character is very multifaceted, facial expressions speak louder than words, and words, when they are necessary, float smoothly and with the right tone (that is why it is better to watch with subtitles, but even with voiceover you will understand how good the actor’s game is).
Hae Soo. First of all, IU has a strong and beautiful voice, and only then an actress, so you should not put her in a row with talented actors. But! This role she played flawlessly, cleanly and sincerely! To survive in the frame of such a heavy love is insanely difficult, but she coped, without leaving me and the thought of catching her in something.
Plot. Against the background of palace intrigues and games with the throne, you will have to live with the heroes a difficult path of love, which I said above. Impossible love, all-consuming love, love that was doomed from the first meeting. If you can feel even one iota of this happiness, tragedy and pain, you will not be the same.
A significant, but not large, role in the series is played by the line of mother and son. I have never been able to comprehend the Queen's hatred of her own son. Why did she despise him so much? Why did you treat him like that when he was so hungry for her love? Why did I love all the other children, but not him? Because you blamed yourself for his fate? This woman is not worthy of such a son!
It's hard to love Prince, but you can. It is impossible to love the King. But sometimes it seemed to me that Hae-soo didn’t love Wang Seo enough, her love was different from the unquestioning love that burned in his eyes and heart. He was ready for anything. Absolutely.
Don’t expect deep kisses and passionate nights of passion. This is a different love. So powerful and powerful that none of this is necessary. Only a glance, a touch of the hand and the breath of the wind are enough to understand that their love will destroy everything in its path, leaving scorched earths, crippled souls and torn bodies ... . .
This heartbreaking ending that is still being talked about! We all knew what would happen, but we didn’t give up hope. How can we live without knowing anything? And most importantly, how does He Soo now live with her memories? . .
Nice beginnings, especially the brothers' friendship, except for one jerk. . . Man, that's a great movie. : I advise with sincere love for the heroes and the screenwriter. With sadness... Always in my heart. . . 10 and 4 brothers of course, a separate liubof) The piggy bank, another thing you're looking at, without any distractions on your phone. Spoiler. Get your pancake wipes ready. The ending is tough. By revisiting 200% OST is magical...I just hear it by accident.
I love movies that leave a very strong aftertaste. Scarlet hearts have firmly taken their place in my top of the best.
I am not a big connoisseur of dramas, this series was chosen simply by the rating of the movie search, but, frankly, I watched it the second time, and immediately revised it completely for the third time already with subtitles. For the first time I was stopped by a feeling of trouble, I was so impressed by the characters, I was so empathetic to them and understanding what everything was going to do, paused, because too many emotions I was caused by viewing.
I highly recommend watching with subtitles, because the voices of the actors are beautiful.
And of course, I can not say about the 3 main huge advantages of the series. These three components of success:
1. Custom - Accurate hit with GG, and secondary too. But the main characters were just born for their roles. And of course, this is the chemistry that everyone is looking for. It's just palpable so that sparks fly. This is impossible to play, just the exact hit of casting specialists. Well done! Chemistry is half the success!
The incredible Lee Jun-gi, an actor from God with incredible attractive magnetism, it is simply impossible to take your eyes off him, hypnotizes.
Beautiful, tender as a flower, charming and incredibly beautiful AYU, in which it is impossible not to fall in love.
And sad, intelligent, with stunning charisma handsome Kan Hanil.
All three are exactly where they are. I, along with Hye Soo, fell in love with Wang Wook, but Wang So, who burst like an arrow into her life, put everything upside down, and, like the main character, I myself did not notice how I gave my heart to the 4th Prince and waited only for his appearance in the frame.
Every movement, look, or just pose in this actor 'speaking', bravo, Lee Jungi!
2. Cinematography. I read in some reviews that the operator was scolded for the abundance of close-ups, but in my opinion, in this series they are justified. Magnificent actors, who in one movement of the century, convey a lot of emotions, and the operator with such a move perfectly conveys this to the viewer.
Yes, a little unusual, but I thought it was such a find of the series, the feeling of immersion in the film increases.
3. The OST series is probably the most beautiful and precisely selected muse accompaniment I have seen. Brilliant! I've listened to all the songs a million times, all very well. Just watch and listen with words.
Even if you don’t like drama, it’s worth watching and watching a thousand times!
It was with this drama that my acquaintance with Korean cinema began. There were more dramas, there were movies, but this one will always remain in my heart as a first love.
As well as actors Lee Jun Gi and Lee Ji Eun were also among the most beloved.
A drama with a focus on humor in its first part and with a rapidly developing drama in the second half.
You learn that not everything that fascinates you at first sight is love. And when this love comes, he is ready to sacrifice everything.
The love line of the main characters is fascinating. You care about them with all your heart. With them you fly to the sky, with them you fall into the abyss from a dizzying height. For me, this was the main theme in the drama – the theme of love. And even the heartbreaking refusal of He Soo is also saturated to the limit with love.
In general, who wants fairy tales and romance, watch this drama, but stock up on handkerchiefs for the finale, because a considerable number of tears are expected. I think the last time I cried was in 1994 when I watched The Lion King, when Mufasa died.
The music in the series is great!
Thank you so much for these emotions.
It is a pity that you can not put 20, so:
10 out of 10
Quite by chance I saw the drama 'Moon Lovers'/'Scarlet Hearts: Goryeo'. I didn’t think this series would be remembered... Amazing, atmospheric film! The plot is so fascinating that you watch and empathize with almost all the characters. This film is for all age audiences. A film about eternal values, about love and friendship, betrayal and honor, wise decision-making, and of course about the search and loss & #39; himself & #39; It is necessary to watch, you will not tell or tell how emotional. The heart hurt in each series, very beautiful scenery. The acting of all the characters without exception amazes and fascinates, a lot of close-ups. The costumes you look at convey the spirit of the era. Music perfectly complements and enhances the semantic load, so original modern treatments and ethnic motifs are woven. The main characters a little by the middle of the series, in my opinion, lost their heat, maybe such a montage, having grown up, they lost their temper and got a little tired, but then in the end of course there was an explosion of emotions, tears by the river. Realizing that each character in the series is a victim of certain circumstances and, of course, love and feelings are at the heart of all life. I caught myself thinking how simple and clear the director conveys to the modern, sophisticated viewer the message of such vicissitudes, beautiful camera references to the past, enjoy every shot. I believe that this drama is a very professional work and luck for everyone who participated in its creation. I want to review, and the main thing is to share what I saw and discuss, reflect. Very deep philosophy, but so easy to present. In this contrast, you understand how fleeting life is, how important freedom is, and most importantly, feelings. Where's love? Where's friendship? Find the answer in the show!
I got acquainted with the drama through the video Funny Moments from Homes on YouTube. Interested in the masked character. After reading the reviews, I realized that the drama is a drama, so I did not immediately decide to watch. Lately, I prefer more comedy or melodrama with a good ending. But the masked man wouldn't let go. Now I can say that I did not regret watching it for a second, moreover, it is the best thing I have seen in a year. Now, no matter what I start to look at, I can not interrupt those feelings. All 20 episodes swallowed almost in a day, with a short break for sleep. Moreover, when I went with the children to the theater, I, instead of the stage, looked at the screen of my smartphone, reading subtitles.
Like many, I searched for information about Goryeo and his emperors.
I watched a lot of videos on YouTube. The best, in my opinion, is a beautiful clip on the voiced text - in 6.5 minutes conveyed the whole essence of the film. I’m not sure if you can give links, but I highly recommend looking at it. I didn't get goosebumps from watching, but a herd of elephants.
I read a lot of articles about the film. I remember how Lee Joon Gi said that the image of Wang So was difficult to embody, since half of his face was covered with a mask, and had to play not with facial expressions, but with eyes (even with the eye). And he did it!!! You believe his hero when you see his anger, pain, anger, love, rage. This drama is the rare case when all the characters are in their places, 100% getting into the images. The main character is a real beauty: sweet, gentle, with a radiant smile, at first so naive, but towards the end of the film she changes. IU was able to convey all the changes and formations of He Soo. It is believed that 4 princes could fall in love with such a girl, and 2 more could become her friends. Most often in interesting dramas guys are very beautiful, and GG girls have a specific appearance and inadequate behavior. Therefore, the love of the main characters has to be accepted through the ability to fantasize. In this drama, I couldn’t take my eyes off anyone. In addition, this is the rare case when I did not want to rewind neither the moment nor the second of the film.
Despite the sad ending, I watched the drama twice. The first time almost entirely with voice GreenTea, the second - with subtitles. Both options are dear to me, both will be reviewed. However, some aspects of GreenTea translation are more logical. I still don’t like the sound of SoftBox. At the second viewing, I was more consciously following the changes of the characters, more aware of each and the reasons for their changes. Therefore, I recommend not to stop at a single viewing. The emotions of the second time were more mature, deeper, so I loved the drama even more. I noticed that during the editing, some moments were clearly cut: there were not enough stories where Van So would see the bracelet on Su’s hand (in the 19th episode he only mentions about him), there is no moment when Su returned the bracelet to Uku, did not understand the plot about a large number of copies of the poem written by So at the request of Su. I didn’t fully understand the story about Bok Soo: why did she live with Wuk, and when was she born? This is only a part of the gaps in the plot, without which it would be possible to make the picture even more complete.
When studying the videos on YouTube, I found a Korean episode of Su’s escape before his wedding with the emperor, where they showed how not only Eun, Baek A and Wook, but also John and even Won helped to leave the palace. I specifically revisited the series and subtitled version to make sure it wasn’t my memory. Maybe there are other stories with other gaps? I'll be looking.
Although the writers have not left a happy ending for any of the characters, I am looking for my Su', another story that can evoke similar emotions. And I’m looking forward to continuing this story, but in our world.
I'd give this drama over 10 if I could. But I definitely consider it one of my favorite works.
No one advised or recommended. I read an article where the story was about one of the girls from the lower class, who, being away from all the intrigues of the royal court, attracted the attention of not only the emperor, but his wife, the queen, who also liked her, and then supported her when she became the concubine of King Sukjon (such were the mores!). This is a real historical figure - Sook Bin Choi, known as the concubine of King Sukjon.
Oh, the story for some reason was accompanied by stunning shots from an unknown film to me, and from the comments to the article - I accidentally (!) found out that the footage from the film is Drama & #39;Moon lovers. Scarlet hearts: Karyo'. And here we go.
1) I’ve never watched a Korean TV series before (the first time I’ve seen a drama is a TV series) due to different traditions/mentality/traditions/education. The film should clearly fall on your coordinate system, and most importantly - understanding.
2) The first series - amazed with its lightness, beauty of scenes, humor and incredibly fresh and sincere acting. Beautiful costumes, enveloping nature, you just believe it's Goryeo. Close-up plans Ayu, who played the main character He Su, just fascinated – how young and beautiful, very lively, plastic and sincere game. And most importantly, without stamps. Just flew in viewing to 10 episodes, a light wind as if driven in viewing. When the series turned (unexpectedly) into drama, the tempo did not weaken, on the contrary ... glued to the series even more. For a long time, I did not drop a tear, the plot captured firmly, and did not let go until the very last series.
(3) I constantly caught myself thinking that it turns out that there may not be a “beatenness” of the plots. Well-deduced lines of fate of the characters of the film, where each of the Princes – their fate and meeting with their soul mate. And, really, you don’t know what’s around the corner. After all, at first, there was almost complete confidence in the strong storyline of He Soo with one Prince - Wang Wook. And, brilliantly shown and embodied the line on the transformation of the personality: the philosopher and the good man (Van Wook), under changed circumstances – an incredible desire for power. We are not offered to label anyone - this is a huge plus of the whole series, we were forced to think about how they affect a person: power, love, family ... Everything that surrounds you and me. The success of this series that the audience was offered to live the lives of the main characters – not watching them through the screen, but through almost our contemporary He Soo breathed into the series incredible vitality and understanding of her as a person, as a woman. And, the endless line of kindness that it radiates was really a breath of fresh air from our domestic TV series, which seem to have drowned in police and gangster showdowns. The constantly sounding theme of love, relationships, events that affect us is fascinating. Sounds endless, what's next? Competent completion of each series, there was always a question and interest. So, I watched these 20 episodes (each for 1 hour), for ... two days (due to sleep), with a full working day later. Whoever said that would not believe it.
(4) Actors are off limits. Just a shock. Lee Joon is just a talent, an unrealistic hardworking guy. I think Ayu and Lee Joon took this drama to incredible heights. After this game, you become a fan. No matter how old you are, the guy did the impossible for me. I wanted to see more movies with him (!). Very plastic in everything, and the incredible possession of his face, of course, I love our actors, but this guy just conquered. Reincarnation is impossible, and with a huge male charisma, there are not many such actors. Every stage of his life he played incredibly: from a wolf man - a man with a heart in love / burning love - to a lonely emperor who must be able to pay, pay for everything, because power is not given simply - it changes, forces, destroys a lot in you. And despite everything that happens to him, he loves in his own way, and carries his love through his life. The scene with the girl in the last series was a reconciliation of the characters, after all that happened. The authors found very subtle notes to convey the feelings of the main characters of the drama and try them on.
Of course, the casting of all the actors was at a very high level. After all, pick up princes, and even in such numbers, and write out the line of each of them, according to their character, aspirations, attitudes to each other, while playing one line – the family, who and how they understand it, helps... The writers did a great job.
(5) What I can say, in solidarity with a number of participants, is that the Story and History of the Goryeo State simply made me study historical information about the formation of this state, its rulers. For this alone, we can thank the creators and actors of this film, which through Art inspired us to immerse ourselves in the history of the state of Korea. I think it's just a top-of-the-line job.
(6) I can say that this series seems not to stop in familiarization with Korean cinema, because at the moment he gave really very strong emotions that do not let go, while perfectly revealing universal values, and no matter what nationality you are, you understand everything, and this is the main thing.
Thank you, the creators of this film and the actors for such a gift to the audience – and no matter what part of the world they live in.
7) Would I like to see the second season? I'll say yes. But only if I see those same actors to enjoy their work. I am sure that this composition can make a worthy continuation in the modern world, and let Life be favorable to this beautiful girl - He Soo.
At first, the main character is slightly annoyed, but we show the way of her development.
An ordinary modern girl who went into the past and was able to find her meaning in life. How many modern girls could survive in such conditions?
With each series, the heroine, like a flower, reveals itself to us. And now you forget how stupid and naive she gazed her eyes in the first series and begins to empathize with her.
The drama is full of intrigue, death, sadness, family strife and against the background of all this, it has joy and laughter.
Incredibly beautiful love line, bright images, enchanting landscapes and clothes.
Yes, I have often come across many negative comments about this drama, they say it is an adaptation and it is very modern, and many did not like the special effects, someone even watched the outsynchrone when riding - but, in my opinion, it is nitpicking. And if you put aside small shortcomings, stop comparing eras / original with adaptation and accept this drama as a kind of magical fairy tale - you can get an unforgettable pleasure from watching.

Things continue to go wrong and there is no hope of improvement. You say to yourself, “I’m sure everything will be fine.” And then something else happens.
"Amazing at every step" ("Bu Bu Jing Xin") is a novel by writer Tung Hua, on which the eponymous Chinese series and the Korean drama "Scarlet Hearts: Goryeo" ("Moon Lovers") are filmed.
In the story, a modern girl Zhang Xiaoven after falling from a ladder is transferred to the past and wakes up in the body of a 14-year-old Manchu aristocrat Maertai Josi, who lived during the Qing dynasty.
After reading the book and watching the drama, I believe that the film adaptation is many times superior to the original. The aftertaste was diametrically opposite: after finishing the novel, I felt like I had just killed my time, and after the film everything was drowning in my tears. That's how he struck me. I sympathized with all the characters except the main character, as the main desire of people was not the throne itself, but the relative security of the family that it guarantees.
I have always been biased against Asian dramas and have never watched them. Once sat with friends who discussed “Scarlet Hearts: Goryeo”, and the sister added that the series is historical. I didn't know anything else about him. Besides, I didn't even notice the consonance between Goryeo and Korea. When I started watching, I thought that the series would be a comedy melodrama, since the atmosphere shown at the beginning of the screen was light, positive and filled with harmony. Oh, I was wrong! If the series were a little more, I would have had cardiac arrest.
The main background of the film is the era of Taejo Wang Gong, the founder of the state, and the subsequent power struggle between his children. It was interesting to observe not only the love line, but also historical moments, as the treachery, intrigue, confrontation, family relations between reigning parents and sons were shown. In my opinion, this is a story about always preserving humanity and not losing yourself.
As a result, I believe that this series will not leave indifferent even those who previously treated Korean cinema with a fair amount of skepticism. I've been crying since Episode 10.
It is amazing how in our era of depravity, callousness, cruelty of human hearts and cynicism, it was possible to make such a series?
Clean,
Romantic,
Deep,
Mental,
Incredibly Puritan, in which there is not even a hint of animal instincts that “push” us from all the newfangled movies and TV series.
This drama is like a contrast of the lies, dirt and bacchanalia that are imposed on the screens of “Game of Thrones”, “fifty shades of gray”. Now in a time of permissiveness, when disorderly relationships are considered the norm, this series is like a breath of fresh air, where true human feelings are shown: love, care, friendship, sacrifice, politeness of feelings, in the very Great sense in which their Creator intended them. Our hearts are tired of the endless “dirty” in the relationship on the screen, and our heart is torn in something bright and high, subconsciously suspecting that this is what true love should be. It was with these feelings that I started and finished watching the Scarlet Heart series. He touched all the strings of my heart, and it is about him I think and think for more than a week.
The series is suitable for romantic young ladies. I watched it with my 13-year-old daughter who loved it. It will be interesting for women who have children and for older women. The production reminds me of the good old films of secular times, where they managed to show love and passion without bare breasts. And it was clear to everyone that this is real love, for which you can die.
I won’t tell you the story, otherwise it won’t be interesting to watch. At first, the first 7-9 episodes, when the plot is set, the series seems light, ironic and naive, a little fantastic. But then, when the main characters pass the first tests of their love and loyalty, the actors’ play and narrative become extremely deep, real, dramatic and unattractive. It’s impossible to break away from all these many characters, even the supporting ones, who play their roles so authentically and realistically that you believe them 100%.
I would like to highlight two components that I consider key, namely those that made the series so spectacular, memorable and beloved for me:
1. All the characters seem to be real people. There are no good or bad heroes. There are living people who have both positive and negative traits. The same character can be a murderer, and at the same time deeply relive the death of loved ones. Prince Seo in the series. At the same time, another, being a model of virtue, can secretly plot “black deeds”. Prince Wook. This makes the characters seem like real people who just lived a long time ago. But they are like us, for there are no purely positive and purely negative people. Even in the worst, you can find a particle of light.
2. The cast. I'd say Bravo! I don't like that word, though. Heroes for the main roles and secondary ones are matchlessly accurately selected, so it is impossible to take your eyes off them. And there are more than thirty people, and everyone is pleasant and interesting to watch. They are all unique, bright, and unique in their images. They all play their roles in a way that you believe them by looking at their facial expressions, their body movements and their eye expressions.
You can talk about this masterpiece series for a long time... but I will say briefly... The show is worth watching...
I'll give you a top score of 10.
For over the past few years of watching movies and TV shows, Scarlet Heart has made me genuinely worried throughout the narrative and has caused genuine tears at the end... and this is an indicator that this work of the author reached my heart.
Or you'll get sick like me. My emotions coincide with many that have already been written here and I will repeat myself.
Periodically studying different lists ' the best TV series' in search of what to see when there is nothing to do, many times came across Korean TV series with a high rating, but always passed by. I was sure that there could be nothing interesting for me, Koreans are very far from us in all respects - too ' Others'.
But one day I heard from a colleague that she was delighted with Korean TV series, and decided to try to watch it. I chose this one without reading reviews, without reading the story. It's a very good idea!
And all gone! I, who consciously does not watch any films that have pain and suffering because I do not want to pass through this pain, watched this series!
The first 10 episodes were good, but then... If I knew what was going to happen, I would never look.
As already written, history turns the soul inside out and tears to shreds! Lee Joon Ki fell in love in general, how well he played his role! The actor’s charisma is incredible. His looks, his smile is cunning - it's a dump of the head.
And again, all the selected actors are beautiful!
And like a lot of fans, I really want a second season! I just want to enjoy playing the same actors again. Very stupid decision not to shoot a second season, if really such a decision is final.

To be honest, this is the first thing I write a review on after a long break, and this alone can be judged by what a strong impression it made on me.
Koreans, polite people, at the beginning of each series warn that the historical facts have been subjected to artistic processing. Perhaps the historical authenticity was also sacrificed, but I am not an expert in the history of Korea, and it was enough for me to show a picture, by the way, very colorful and beautiful. And the series, in fact, is not historical and not about a fallaby from another time - in my opinion, it is a drama of characters and a drama of relationships. Sooner or later, almost all the key characters in this story come to the disappointing conclusion that to survive and preserve what you hold dear, you need to become an emperor. And on the way to the throne, fatal changes occur in the characters of the heroes.
The central character of this story is He Su, a modern girl, due to a semi-mystical coincidence, transferred to the time of ancient Kore, the era of its formation as a state. She is directly, truly good, has a keen sense of justice and can rightly be considered a positive character. However, largely due to his positive qualities, He Soo makes a lot of mistakes and unwittingly becomes the catalyst for many sad and tragic events of this drama, sorry, drama.
Interesting is the only princess shown in the drama - Yen Hwa. A cunning smiling intriguer, who in her early youth assimilated the rigid palace rules of survival.
My main delights, in which I am probably not alone, were given to Lee Jun-gi, who played the role of 4 Prince Wang So, the future Emperor of Kwangjong. Of course, his role is winning, bright, but he played it perfectly. The actor masterfully speaks body language - his posture can be static, but the viewer can easily guess the emotions of the hero - whether it is a fervent desire to get the approval of his father, tired hopelessness from the inability to deserve the love of his mother or a slight mockery of a stupid girl who believes that she can survive in the Palace.
In the end, I can’t help comparing it to the Chinese source. “Amazing at every step,” I must admit, the class above – both in historical authenticity and in psychological elaboration of characters. The Korean version is more vivid, more like a fairy tale. A cruel tale about a boy who, at the cost of incredible efforts, got a magic prize, and he crumbled dust in his hands.

There is so much to say, but it is so hard to put into words all your thoughts and feelings.
Scarlet Hearts: Goryeo is my first, unforgettable love, full of feelings and doubts, sad and sometimes even cruel, leaving behind deep cuts and a broken heart. . .
My first unforgettable drama that made me fall in love with the Korean language and Korea forever. The most amazing and exciting story that gave me so much emotion, so much missed in the daily routine of weekdays.
Starting to watch Scarlet Hearts, I could not imagine how much it would impress me, how much I would worry about the main characters and eagerly wait for each episode. No, I did not look at this amazing and touching story, I lived a whole life with the heroes of every part of my soul. Weeping and laughing, grieving and longing with them.
The amazing and brilliant acting of the actors made my heart tremble every time. Cruelty and fear, love, doubt, jealousy, envy, flashed feelings, despair and pain, mixed in a burning mixture.
This drama left a deep mark on my soul, and especially this applies to the main character – the fourth Prince Wang So, who literally conquered and conquered me.
When I first met this hero, I had mixed feelings. In the scene where he ruthlessly and without any doubt kills a horse, I thought he was a negative character. I wanted to say, "For what?" What did this poor animal do to you? But deep down, something told me he was a deeper character, and as time has shown, I wasn’t wrong. Over time, I began to understand all the pain he lived with and that made him so cruel afterwards. I looked at him with completely different eyes, and each time I became attached to him more and more, and later I could not let go. Cold, cruel and unprincipled prince, who did not know motherly love and care, forever lonely, yearned to fill the void and feel a drop of warmth. His masked image covering half of his face, a charming soft smile, a wolf’s gaze and a fire playing in his eyes, stole my heart. As far as the actor is concerned, it's BRAVO! Amazing actor. Amazing actors!
What does this drama teach? That one should not judge a man by his appearance, that even the most cruel-looking man has a deep and vulnerable soul, and under the mask of indifference lies a passionate, thirsty soul. That even the most noble in appearance, a man, hides dark shadows behind his back, a reflection of his bad thoughts, bursting out. This drama teaches you to appreciate life and every moment you live. It teaches a fate that is sometimes too cruel, burdens with circumstances that people cannot resist. It teaches love, infinite love, which does not control time or different worlds.
This is by far the most beautiful and saddest love story I have ever heard. Thank you to the creators for such a masterpiece, thank you to the actors for the amazing performance and endless pleasure of watching!

Like a prologue I don't like love stories. They don't touch me very much. Characters tend not to impress with their characters, between them I do not see any chemistry at all (the exceptions are so few that I have enough fingers of one hand to list them). But this series is different. This was the first time I found a love line that became my favorite. And I'm afraid I won't have enough words to describe all the emotions about it.
But let's start at the beginning. I'll tell you right away that I'm not a fan of drama at all, from the word 'totally'. And I don’t think I will, because after watching this series, I think it will be impossible to find anything similar. At least a little bit is just as great.
How did I ever get to see it, considering I'm not interested in drama? I just love stories about 'fallains' and here in the description straight black and white ' got into the past'. Then it's worth a try.
Honestly, it didn't start at all. I didn’t like the introduction about the heroine, I didn’t like her emotions, I didn’t like her at all. I didn’t like the atmosphere and atmosphere. I decided to watch it at least until the end of the series. And it's a good thing that I decided to do that, because then I fell in love with everything absolutely.
I’m not going to retell the whole story, just run through the most wonderful things for me in it.
1. Characters. They are not one-sided, they develop (with time). These are not static, some clichéd heroes, no. Real people who are not alien to everything worldly. There is no line between 'good' and 'evil' (this is the most magnificent), they are all people with their own positive and negative traits.
2. Not a typical love story. Oh, yeah. How happy I was when I realized that the series will not be all this bacchanalia with ' nice Mr loves no less kind ideal guy, but they can not be together, because against them evil forces in the form of some insidious people' Yay, comrades, URA! I'm for stories where people love each other despite the downsides of trying to make each other better. In which the main characters are not clear. These are real stories, they are real stories.
It also shows how the human heart can change. There is love, and there is love, which are different things. And many of the heroes experienced both feelings.
3. OST. I'm still listening to him. Especially the instrumental violin. The music in the series is 99% perfect.
4. The cast. The cast is perfect. The game is amazing. Including Lee Joon Gi (I think he was just made for the role). Speaking of which. I don't really like Asians. But then the magic worked ' if you like the character, then you like the appearance ' so I'm just crazy about Wang So and Hae Soo.
5. The ending. You know, I really wish they were together at the end. They were happy. But I understand that if that were the case, then history would have lost some of the realism of the time, and would not fit into my heart.
Many people wrote and shed tears. I didn't. I was reassured by Wang Soe's words at the very end that he would find her wherever she was. And with the idea of some kind of rebirth in the series, I believe that they will meet in some life and be happy. In a life where they will not be disturbed by the shackles of time.
In general, this is one hundred percent 10 out of 10. Everything is perfect here, from the characters, the realism of the stories (despite the little fiction at the end and beginning) to the costumes, scenery and music. This is now one of my favorite series. Wang So and Hae Soo are the first and only beloved couple.
Simple language about complex things and how to interest anyone in the history of Korea
I’m not a big fan of Korean cinema, but high-profile films like Oldby, The Unmade Movie, The King and the Jester, I enjoyed watching. It’s a different culture than ours, and it’s even more interesting to see. Like people of a different culture, in a distant and rather closed country, they express emotions about the problems they care about.
Gradually moved on to drama. I will immediately say that there are a lot of drama series in Korea, more than in Russia and as well as in any country with such a volume of not all high quality, many are naive, drawn-out. What is always pleasantly surprising is the acting irga, it is in the vast majority of cases at the height even in the most delusional scenario. The actors are able to show feelings there, express emotions with one look, a light touch, just one movement of the corners of the mouth.
'Scarlet Hearts' I watched because I caught my eye enthusiastic reviews on the forums about the first series of this series. And so did Lee Joon Ki, who played beautifully in ' The King and the Fool' who grew up here, wanted to see how he changed professionally. The first series liked costumes, beautiful entourage, beautiful scenery. But the plot is quite naive. About 6 episodes began the real action, which completely captivated me, I could not take off the screen and at once watched all 14 remaining episodes in a day. It was so emotional, interesting, exciting that you simply do not pay attention to any inconsistencies. It’s so exciting that you almost live next to these characters. All the plot twists are so touching that on every question you go looking for information - what is Baekje and Silla, and was there such a ruler Gwangjon, and who was his wife, and is it true that he was so bloodthirsty, and what really happened to his brothers, children, empire? All these questions arise because the characters are so alive and clingy that you want to know them all, you want to see confirmation of their existence in real life. I think that thanks to this drama, a hundred thousand people are definitely interested in the history of Korea, much more than in any lesson.
Behind the semi-fabulous facade of this drama you can also see many life truths. That promises are not always fulfilled, no matter how much you are sure in them that absolute power gives absolute loneliness, that circumstances can force you to make such sacrifices as you could not imagine, that you can do things that you always thought were impossible for you, and that under any circumstances you can preserve yourself, your beliefs. The end is natural, but so emotional, I can’t imagine how to hold back tears. The actors are amazing, you believe almost everyone.
I would recommend this series to everyone without exception. Not only as it may seem romantic, everyone will find something in it. Simple and ingeniously told about the complex
A gorgeous historical drama that will prompt you to scour the entire Internet in search of additional information about the history of Goryeo and its kings.
As a fan of Lee Min Ho, I couldn’t bring myself to watch a drama without him. And in advance I was tuned to the fact that without him I would not have an interest in the drama, and it would be empty and not interesting. And since I watched all the dramas with him and even revised them several times, I decided to Google the ratings of the dramas and still risk watching the top one.
Immediately in the eyes of the drama 'Moon lovers', it is 'Scarlet heart', it is 'Scarlet hearts: Goryeo'. On different sites, in different ratings, it necessarily figured in leading positions. And since I'd come across her name before, when I was looking for Min Ho movies, I decided to stay with her. Plus in her favor played the participation of Kang Ha Nyl, I liked in 'Heirs'.
Read the comments on the drama, morally prepared for a heavy dramatic plot and a sea of tears from my side and included the first series.
After about 10-15 minutes from the beginning of viewing, I already knew that I would definitely watch the drama to the end, the plot captured me from the first minutes. And at this point, the character of Lee Jun Ki has not even appeared.
I will not repeat myself in the description of the plot, since it is already described by most commentators, but rather I will talk about the pros and cons of the drama, as well as the key points that made an indelible impression on me.
Firstly, during the first 10 episodes, I repeatedly paused and used the magic phrase 'OK, GUGL' trying to find additional information to what I saw. At the moment, I know the historical events of the formation of Goryeo, its kings, the years of their reign, the characteristics of their personalities. This is a big plus of the drama - it causes great historical curiosity in anyone who watches it.
I can't help but celebrate June Ki. His image in a mask on the floor of the face, an evil shine in the eyes and a soft kind smile cause goosebumps. June Ki, as an actor, has a very interesting face and facial expressions. I don't think he's handsome, but there's something about his looks that makes his heart shrink and stop beating, and he's so terrifically attracted to him, and sometimes repulsive, as Wang So. When you first meet a hero, you think he’s a negative character to look for. What's the story worth when he murders the horse he just jumped on? The blood on his face and hands does not bother him at all - this is a common phenomenon for him. But later comes the realization of all the pain that has accumulated in his heart and made him so. And you begin to look at his cruelty with completely different eyes, and every negative act you begin to subconsciously justify and become even more attached to the hero. It's amazing!
In all the scenes with the main character He Soo, I unwittingly held my breath. Here they know how to shoot romantic moments in Korean dramas! In Russian there are no words that could reflect the entire palette of sensations of the viewer. By the way, my love for dramas began with a sneaky kiss of Kim Tang and Eun Sang in the Heirs.
For the first five or seven episodes, I was tormented by doubts about who would still belong to the soul and heart of Hye Soo – the dangerous wolf Wang So or the sensual and kind Wang Wook. Especially after Wang Wook and Hye Soo confessed their love for each other. Once again diving into the expanses of the Internet, I tried to find the answer to this question. For some reason, there was a picture that Wang So would be fascinated by Hye Soo, but who she would truly love remained a mystery. It really bothered me and even prevented me from watching it. In the end, I came to the conclusion that since all the clips for the drama, in pictures and photos, Hye Soo and Wang Seo are next to each other, then Wang So’s love will be mutual.
Van Wook from the first moments appeared as the kindest, fairest and on all sides a positive character. In my opinion, this image is very similar to Kang Ha Nyl. In the future, of course, the negative traits of the eighth prince are revealed, but he still does not cause self-hatred, for example, as an insidious young princess or the third Prince Wang Yeo. I feel sorry for him at some point, not without the bitterness of disappointment. The drama did not clearly show his desire for power and the throne, as Wang Yeo did, but nevertheless showed him as an intelligent tactical strategist, carefully planning the chain of events and every step closer to the throne. In the end, all my emotions for Van Wook were reduced to disappointment in his image and immense pity. That’s why I don’t want to talk much about him.
There are many good things to say about each prince (except the third and ninth). They are so different, sweet, sometimes childishly stupid in their actions and judgments.
Of all, I would probably mention the fourteenth Prince Wang Jeong. All the princes to varying degrees were positively disposed towards Hye Soo and in love with her. But Wang Jeong’s love was so strong that it didn’t require reciprocity. He just loved Hye Soo and lived her happiness. I liked how the end of the Wang Jong story was played - although he was not with Hye Soo, but what remained of her gave meaning to his future life and made him deservedly happy.
It is no secret that the drama has many sad moments, the death of heroes, and those who decide to watch need to prepare a bunch of handkerchiefs to wipe away tears. For me, these moments came after the tenth series. The fate of princes and their entourage is tragic. In the last episode, I cried for about 40 of the 60 minutes of the film. And another 10 minutes after it's over. Accidentally stumbling upon a small spoiler, I approximately understood what kind of ending would be, but even this could not prepare me.
I know that for many the end of the film seems crumpled and unsuccessful, many are waiting for the second season, because the hint of such is seen in the last moments of the drama.
In my opinion, everything is logical and logical. I can say for sure that if I had watched this drama at the age of 18-25, my opinion would have been different. I look at things differently now. Therefore, after watching the whole drama, I do not feel empty or disappointed, my heart is not broken, it reverberates with memories of the great love that took place in the lives of the heroes.
A breath of fresh air will cause you involuntary tears.
You remember that feeling: you're sitting in a bathtub filled with perfect temperature water, but it's time to get out and you get up, and the cold reality is covering you from head to toe. That’s how I feel now, after watching the last episode of the drama.
Throughout the film, I knew I would write a review. Throughout the film, I knew how it would end and how I would feel when it ended. I was preparing myself for this moment. And even so, if I met the creators of the series after the last episode, I would blurt them out in impossibly broken Korean:
- Well done! You just broke the hearts of audiences all over the world. Why are you doing this to us? Each of us has become a little bit of He Soo!
Feeling like I took a short course in a week 'Introductions to the history and culture of the peoples of Korea' - and felt all this (and culture and history) with every cell, fell in love, hated, fell in love again, cried, regretted, laughed, indignant. In short, the feeling that I myself was transported to the era of Goryeo. And survived the fate of each of the princes, each of the mothers, sisters, maids, and, of course, the fate of He Soo.
Such a lightning-fast beginning that did not cause a feeling of "' a long rocking'", such a deep tie, which throughout the series embroidered many paintings, eventually formed into one heartbreaking gallery.
'Scarlet Heart' - so out of the total number of drama that well just 'Wow!'. The actress, young and talented, conveyed all the lightness and heaviness of Goryeo. Her character passed through all his atmosphere, all the love and hatred that surrounded her, which led her to what led to her. It's not a fairy tale. It's half a story.
Where there is love, there is jealousy. Where there is power, there is greed. Where the emperor is, there is death. Where's the truth? Who's right? Who is to blame for what happened? Throughout the series, the answers to these questions will constantly change. You will not have unloved heroes, because, bringing them closer to reality, the writers created them not flat heroes, dividing them into 'bad' and 'good' and mixed all the cards, creating deep personalities, with their pain, consciousness and line of life.
Wang So? Animal? Unloved son who loves his mother? Gentle? Good? Cruel? A devotee? Lonely? All together!
All princes, all heroes - each has its own character, honed to the smallest detail and without a cartoon plane.
Plot... Well, the plot is twisted, based on real events, cruel and true. With a heavy heart, in one breath, and with tears in your eyes, you watch series after series, as if a sadomasochist relishes that each episode touches you to the core and causes one, several, or a flood of tears. Why? Because, according to Ray Bradbury '451 degrees Fahrenheit' we need something that touches our soul and moves it, already hardened in the 21st century. Let these tears flow, let this sad smile not come down from your face until the very end of the series, and let its last minutes be imprinted in your memory and will then pop up sometimes, with tender sadness tickling your soul.
Watch the series for those who missed Gardy and Dostoevsky, in the age of Stephanie Meyer, Roaling and Coelho. Who wants to turn the soul inside out, and not wrap it further in a shiny wrapper.
Another positive review of the film.
To begin with, this is the first fully watched and sunk into my soul drama. And I began to watch it, knowing absolutely ALL the turning moves of the plot and the ending including.
And here's the thing: one weekend I spent with a friend who was watching this work, and, in the corner of my eyes saw only a couple of scenes, I realized that all the characters in this drama are so well written. But one character hooked me so much that before going to bed I couldn’t get rid of his kind in my head and, putting to sleep, began to Google the historical basis of this series, finding out whether such a person (um, the emperor) really was, and what his fate was. And the next day I started watching a series like “well, I’ll quickly flip through here, find out what I care about and deal with the end.”
Yeah, did you? Yeah, rewinded? That's scary!
Since the 11th series, the world has not been nice to me, because it is simply impossible not to empathize with the suffering and throwing of the main characters! Koreans masterfully combine humor with drama (sometimes it kills me, honestly), and if it all started out quite funny, then after a couple of episodes you can not get rid of the feeling that you are about to get a heart attack from such plot twists.
As already mentioned, I knew exactly how this whole affair would end, but at this point I did not stop myself from swallowing series after series. So I watched Goryeo in the morning, sobbing throughout the last series (an hour) and a little more after the end credits. I woke up with swollen eyes, a feeling of emptyness and the desire to listen again and again to the staves from the drama, which, for a moment, are chic (I say hello to EXO-CBX).
I would like to emphasize that absolutely all the characters are interesting, even negative and vile caused me delight and empathy. And the actors did a great job, full dedication to the images! (I can’t help but mention Lee Junki, who plays with every cell of his body)
I'm not going to write about the plot, just to clarify that it's a great combination of history and mysticism. And in conclusion, I recommend this creation even to those who do not particularly appreciate Korean cinema and dramas.
10 out of 10
Amazing drama, actually. Surprisingly, there are a lot of things about it, such as the fact that it was quite poorly received in Korea, wrote quite a lot of bad articles, ratings are average... but the drama itself is actually very high quality. Why it was not understood at home is the question. I loved it completely, even without ' but' But everything is in order.
The plot, I think, is the key to the success of any business. The show, too. Thought. The plot practically does not sag anywhere, the exception for me is the line of Beka-Uhi, and then only because of the obvious cutting of episodes, I do not know why, maybe the timing did not fit. The story itself, the history of the struggle for power between blood brothers and the fact that it was served sauce in the form of a love story, is interesting. All the characters are well written, we have a fairly clear line of narrative. Even the story of time travel was not too annoying, because she was assigned the role of a vehicle, a way of delivering the heroine. In the beginning it was just funny and funny, well, the scenes of the fight between the heroine and Wang-un, cute mistakes in the treatment of the king, etc., was funny. Then power is seized by the heroine's storyline and Van Wook... it was so sweet, so tender... the woman's heart was fluttering. Then comes the struggle for the throne and the machinations of the palace, and finally again the love line rules the ball ... the love between the king and the heroine is so lively, trembling ... it looked very believable and heartbreaking ... and finally the open end ... I would say the soul requires continuation! Well, it is very important that there was no desire to turn off, to say that boring and too many tears and snot. There are, of course, some questions about the plausibility and historicity of what is happening... after all, how realistic is it for someone to be poisoned with poison that cannot be traced? Or that it was the mother who mutilated the son, or that the court stargazer was so directly listened to... there are questions in general, but I did not mind. And there is one 'fu' - I understand that incest is common at that time. But they are brothers and sisters...
Heroes - here we were given carte blanche, the girls have where to turn and who to look at, I think each of the spectators had their favorite. Wangso is cool, WangMu is the crown prince, kind and good, Wanuk is very cute at first and he is pathetic, WangWon is really a hanger-on of course, Wanun is funny, Beka is beautiful and good, WangJon is strong and loyal, WanYu is even a scoundrel, but still very beautiful. I loved everyone. The heroine, on the other hand, is good at least because she did not annoy (and in Korean dramas this is a real problem). She's certainly not smart, she's too honest and kind, but in this case, it didn't push me away.
No matter what the Koreans say, the actors do their job. Ayu plays perfectly, better than many professional actors, Lee Junki without comment, BackHen, who was so scolded as his character, yes, he sometimes infuriated and annoyed, but this role is such a prince-child... Nam Juhek is certainly not a genius, but the role of just him, Beck is a simple character in terms of play and emotions, so there are no complaints about the actor. I discovered Kanhanil, heard that he was good and now I am convinced. Hong Jong-hyun was also a discovery, it seems now you will have to watch the King's Love with him and Yuna. In general, in my opinion, even if some not gorgeous actors, but did their job, which means the caste is well selected.
The music ... it was just beautiful ... very, very well matched, the East to the moments of death of the characters is just great ... such sadness. . .
Entourage - costumes, scenery, makeup, everything is fine. It is especially pleasant to look at this period of history because there are so many colors in clothes, so many different styles and decorations! Much more than in the Joseon era. Perhaps that’s why it’s so nice to watch the dramas of that period.
Conclusion: the drama is a beautiful, excellent representative of the historical genre. At the same time, the love line did its job - attracted girls and women to the screens. And once again I come to the conclusion that you can not rely on someone else’s opinion. Among the pile of dramas rejected by the audience, you can find something very good, and so often happens. I highly recommend watching.
I didn’t cry over one movie or series as much as I did this one. Even though I had already read reviews for this series and knew that the end was sad, I still watched. And then again and again.
The series was captured from the first series. Asian actors can play with their faces. And so many words are not needed, and gentle touches or kisses, as only one glance, a tilt of the head.
There is even humor in the first half. But more and more he's fading. At the same time, we see our heroes grow, change and grow stronger in their decisions.
A girl from our time goes into the past. And since she doesn’t have much history, she doesn’t remember many of those times. But gradually memories come, which forces, though not intentionally, to change fate. As well as those around you.
The girl Su Razvalye, all to the last sons of the emperor are fascinated by her. Someone to drown out the pain of loss and lack of attention. Someone gets lost and begins to doubt their feelings.
And of course, the triangle we have here almost to turn into a hexagon.
The main couple Su and the fourth Prince So, remember each other for a long time from the first meeting. Although at first, Su is more interested in the emperor’s eighth son, who reciprocates, her opinion changes over time.
So is considered a black sheep in the family. Deprived of the love of his mother, the respect of his father and brothers. And also a scar that he thinks will disfigure him.
But thanks to the rare encounters of Su and So, the latter becomes more confident. And Su sees in him not only, as she thinks, the future tyrant, but also a person, a man who just wants to love and be loved, respected.
Meetings bring quarrels, laughter, tears, sadness... And although according to the canons of dramas, kisses and passionate hugs are few, we look forward to every look, touch and look of this couple.
This is the first time I've seen Lou Jun-gi's work. And though not handsome (each has his own opinion), but played matchlessly forcing him to fall in love with his hero without memory.
The game was also played by Lee Jin-in.
A special thanks to the creators of the soundtrack. I recorded all the songs myself and listen to the episodes from the film.
I sincerely hope (and as the actors and their fans speculate) that there will be a sequel. I hope this time it is not so sad.
I recently became interested in TV series. For me, the film has to be dynamic. This means that either the series must consist of completed storylines each series, or be short.
Among the many reviews I drew attention to the positive reviews of Korean TV series and, succumbing to the opinion, chose this one.
Lunar lovers: scarlet hearts of Goryeo.
Throne, love, devotion, betrayal, betrayal - all these nouns in a bright plexus of 20 episodes and in one breath. Together with the heroes, I laughed and wept, suffered and fell in love. Sometimes I wanted to skip a few episodes to make sure of a positive outcome, otherwise the heart jumped out because of the experiences, and then revisit the first and to the end.
In my subscriptions in social networks appeared Korean actors. In my tracks on the phone now a new playlist consisting of the wonderful music of this film.
If you’re watching this series, don’t hesitate. You'll be happy. I am sure that you will return to it more than once and will not regret it.

“Scarlet heart” or as they sometimes call “moon lovers” conquered me. Often, dramas are a bit absurd series. But this ... God ... after watching a couple of days went as lost, so I was captured by this picture.
Not only the knowledge of history causes this drama, but also a surge of diverse emotions. From pity to the desire to get there.
The actor, who plays Wang So (Lee Jun-gi), won with his play. I've never seen a movie with him before, but I think after this drama, I'll want to enjoy a couple more.
Whatever they say about the actress (Lee Ji-eun) on the series He-soo, I believed her 100%.
Of course, you want a happy, concrete end to this drama, but thanks to this outcome of the story, it causes the most vivid impression.
R. C. Therefore, I recommend watching. Just watch and enjoy. No need to wait for accurate historical records. Just dive in.
Sometimes I came to the source of the stream ... Sitting down, I see how the clouds rise in the distance.
It has been three days since I saw this piece. And I still can't get away from that impression. This is an indescribably beautiful and touching story.
I’m not a fan of dramas, I only have 5-6 of them. But so this drama is not like all the others, so it has no extra moments. The plot, dialogues, landscapes, scenery, costumes, and the actors themselves - everything was just great!!
I would like to express my gratitude to the band Green Tea, for the voiceover, pleasant voices and beautiful translation, it was very pleasant to listen. All Russian-speaking audiences are advised to watch with this voiceover.
The actors are all just amazing, all the same it is not for nothing that Korean celebrities have so many fans, because they are really talented.
I was very struck by the main character - he is so complex, but at the same time simple character. He is very sorry, and vice versa, he causes anger for some actions and decisions. He evokes absolutely mixed feelings, but at the same time, I always think, after all, love had to perform a miracle. And the actor playing the role of the main character (Lee Jun Ki) – I applaud standing up!! He played so well, he could convey with just a glance any emotions of the hero.
The main character... Su... Beautiful Soo! It's impossible not to fall in love with her. I read somewhere that she doesn’t have much experience in acting (Lee Ji Eun) and that she’s actually a singer. But! This role - I don't even imagine another actress in this role. She did a great job. She was able to touch the millions of hearts who were watching the picture and truly believed the story.
Other heroes – here you can write about each individually. Everyone is wonderful in their own way, and everyone gave 200% and played their part. There is not a single character in this film that can be blamed for bad performance. That’s why it’s so beautiful!
And the story itself... Guys. I've never cried like this over any movie/series. After watching the last episode, I immediately thought that I would never watch it in my life.
And a few days later, I read different reviews, watched different videos, somewhere sad, somewhere laughed. I fell in love with all the actors and characters. And my mind has changed. I thought I shouldn't be offended by the final. There is no need to regret something, or dream that it would be different. These heroes lived their destiny. And... I really want to revisit this drama. And someday I’ll do it, maybe later... when my wounds cool down from watching this picture...

Warning: this dorama will trample the soul and break the heart! If you don’t want it, don’t look.
I just checked. I'm all devastated, gutted and broken. You can't do this to people. My heart hurts. The creators of the story were particularly cruel. Now I understand why the drama was not successful in Korea - Koreans, of course, love tragedy, but in moderation, and here ... The drama is not aimed at the Korean audience. They're usually filmed as they go. And if the ratings are low, the requests of the audience are fulfilled - the characters and relationships of the characters can change, new characters can be introduced. Here the whole drama was filmed before the release of the screens, which is very rare. The investors were also the Chinese who were the first to film the story. I started watching the Chinese version a long time ago, but I couldn’t. I don't remember what stopped me. Probably could not get used to the language, and the plot is not so captured.
How could I not have seen the Korean version? Yes, one of my Ai Yu (Hae Soo) was worth it to go through this difficult morally and emotionally path. And of course, Zhong Ki, King and God in the flesh. And also, of course, Ha Nyl (Uk), whom she noticed in the “Heirs” and fell in love with his noble charisma. Others also know: with Zhu Hyuk (Back A) a couple of days ago I watched a great thing "Fairy of Weightlifting", Jung Hyun (Wan Yeo) historical things are well given ("Warrior Baek Dong Soo", "Ice Flower"), Bakhyun (Wan Eun) - a member of the EXO group, as an actor was remembered in the mini-dorame "My Neighbors EXO", Zi Soo" (Wan Zo) (Wan Jung Jung Jung Jung "Zo" saw ". In general, one cast inspired a great desire to watch. And every one of them played well!
And I don't regret watching. These things should probably be filmed. There is not always a happy ending in life. We have to accept it, which is very difficult, but possible. Throughout the drama, I felt heavy. At first I cried, then even the tears disappeared. This is the next stage, when it is so hard that emotions turn off.
I don’t even know what this thing teaches. Probably because life is fleeting, and you should appreciate what you have now. Fate exists, but you always have a choice whether to do it or not. And if you have already done that, then you should not waste energy on regretting. There is a love that comes out of nowhere and never fades away no matter what happens, but sometimes love becomes a heavy burden because it brings pain and longing. But love in any manifestation is still the most beautiful thing on earth, it is love that moves mountains, fills the oceans with water, it is love that ultimately rules the world.
I would scold the writers for the ending, because most of the dramas have a very young audience. I saw a lot of outrage about the end. They had to explain to the end what would happen. But in general, I think everything is very, very vital, despite the fact that the drama is fantastic. Perhaps the lack of hope is hope. In general, this is not “The Attic Prince” or even “Princess Beloved”. Who knows, he will understand.
I won't talk much about Jun Ki. Everyone should know what miracles he is capable of. Even on photos, where they are in ordinary costumes, and behind-the-scenes, the image did not leave! How hard it was for him... I can't even imagine. Well, I fell in love with him again... in this mad wolf charisma.
But I want to say a lot about AYU. This girl is not just a standard of beauty and femininity, not just a talented singer, but also a wonderful actress who will go far. The many accusations against her for playing poorly are based on childish Korean stereotypes, according to which girls should only be cheerful, mobile, clumsy and not very beautiful. They can’t admit that really beautiful girls have real acting talent, that roles are not only bright. How He Soo changes from the second half of the drama, words cannot convey. I looked and it was as if I had gone out with her. It was she who gave the whole drama the very color of despair and doom that should have been according to the idea. And who did not understand this, he simply did not understand what it was about, and what is mental pain.
Ha Nul opened up to me from the other side. It turns out it can be very, very different. His ambiguous character causes a lot of emotions, although he is outwardly calm. I thought I would love his character until the end, but I couldn’t. But Ha Nylya from this fact began to love only more. And, of course, I respect him as an actor.
Unlike many, I am a lover of historical dramas. I think I’ve learned all the history of Korea. And about Baekje saw the "Daughter of King Soo Baek Hyang", and about Silla - "Queen Sondok", and about Goguryeo - "The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms: The Legend of Chumon". I was used to their language, to all this ceremonial, so it was wild for me to watch how nothing “historical” was observed in this drama: everyone spoke like in a bazaar, honestly. When they saw the king, they barely bowed, if at all. I think it’s because the drama is a remake of the Chinese one, which in turn is an adaptation of the Chinese novel Bu Bu Jing Xin. Apparently, the book was not particularly ceremonious and did not bother with the tongue. At least that’s the only way I can explain something to myself. Usually, even in historical dramas with a fantastic element, the canons are observed. For me, this fact is rather a minus, but for those who are not imbued with the atmosphere of historical dramas, it will be a plus, because you will not have to get used to something new and incomprehensible.
Sountrek is very strong, the mood creates one or two. One of the most hooked songs 'For you' sings Beckhyun (10th Prince) with his bandmates. And the saddest song when the heart aches - 'Forgetting you' from the notorious Davichi.
Overall, the aftertaste is heavy, it was very hard on the way, but you know, it was really worth it. Deep thing. And in many ways philosophical. Although, it would seem, according to the synopsis, that some fairy tale for girls is an-no.
This series will not leave indifferent even those who previously treated Korean cinema with a fair amount of skepticism (like me, for example).
It surprisingly intertwined all the feelings and thoughts that at least once, but affect each person. Probably, that is why from the very first series, the characters of the series and their difficult fates are not only in the head, but also in the heart.
It is difficult to say which of the issues raised in the series impressed the most: all the themes are equal and brought to the end, which makes the picture complete, clear and insanely real.
In my opinion, this is a story about how important it is to keep our humanity in spite of everything, and, of course, about love. Not about the kind of love we are used to seeing on screens, about true love: the love of a son for a mother who hated him; the love of a father for his son, which can not be shown openly; devoted brotherly love, about the different love of several men for one woman - and how this love changes their lives. This story is about a strong girl who has to go through a difficult path to become a woman. This story is about the fact that life does not turn out the way you dream about it. This is a story of friendship and betrayal.
The theme of loneliness is very strong: it flows through every scene, and its metaphorical embodiment in the series is the throne, the struggle for which will affect everyone – those who dreamed of power, and even those who never aspired to it.
The viewer is given the role of an observer, but because of psychological authenticity, it seems that each moment you live with the heroes of this story. You laugh and cry with them, lose loved ones with them and find love.
I am infinitely fascinated by the work of the actors. I was amazed by all, but especially I would like to highlight, of course, the main characters - Li Jun-gi and Li Ji-eun. Hero Lee Jun-gi, the fourth prince, loses against the background of handsome brothers, but his eyes are something incredible! In them, a devoted viewer will see all the shades of emotions of the hero, in general, stingy on emotions. Lee Ji-eun, in my opinion, is a real find: she managed to show the formation and development of the main character with the ease that is inherent only in talented actors. And her tragic role is brought to the final chord without a single false note.
I can't help but say a few words about camera work: it's gorgeous. I haven’t seen so many successful people in a long time.
You can endlessly list the advantages of this series, but I will probably stop and just recommend it to watch, because it is true.
