Every hunter wants to know where the pheasant sits. And I'd like to know where the creators of this story are, because I'd like to ask them a few questions about the plot and the cartoon. "Magic Rainbow" is the only part of the trilogy where The Wizard became beautiful thanks to the graphics, but Azura ceased to resemble itself (she has changed the color of her eyes, skin, eyebrows, makeup).
I was also horribly disturbed by the fact that the twins I loved had lost all resemblance except for the style of the dresses. In the first part, the Wizards had exactly the same green eyes. Little change, I liked it. By the third part, the queen suddenly acquired gray-blue “lenses”, completely lost makeup (at least some). Laverna's eyes are not just green. They became hellish green, poisonous. These are all details, but when you think about it, don’t the details help us piece together the picture and fully enjoy it?
Maybe they didn’t care what the characters looked like, but I’m not one of them. Everything hooks me. In this story, I pay attention to every bush, sorry.
But it's all a lyrical retreat. Let's go down the list.
The plot revealed in the third part of “Fairytale Land” is quite curious, intriguing. I really liked the Crystal Palace of the Queen, the nearby landscapes, the “Flight of Spring”, which for some reason nobility excited me, because ... the name Laverna translates as “Spring”. People watched and rejoiced, and I searched for subtext and hidden meaning (if I did not find it somewhere, of course, I decided to organize it myself first in imagination and then on paper). Well, it was kind of painfully strange when Her Highness, having barely thrown off her toad skin, rushed to ruin the ritual of releasing the first rainbow. Just to piss off my sister? Yeah. I already believe (no).
New characters are a very controversial issue. I would not say that they are all worthy and detailed, but I agree that they are really different. Out of the seven students, I liked only the sweetie Gli. She behaved more adequately than everyone else and was friendly, friendly, not stupid.
Elina managed to show ... not the best of her qualities, although everywhere they say that she is “strong, brave, kind and wonderful.” I won’t give you the details of the plot, but I can say that in addition to the usual naivety, stupidity and periodic arrogance, now there is also blindness. I can’t imagine how she lives with such a vision at all, if she could not see the obvious, and without understanding anything, without looking properly, she began to show off in front of a classmate. This scene became for me just the apogee of "ha-ha" over Elina
.
For the first time in three reviews of my favorite trilogy, I decided to talk about dubbing. If we talk about the original, then most of all I liked the voices Kathleen Barr and Venus Terzo (amazingly disgusting!). The most interesting thing is that when I first heard the voice that Azura used in America, I was shocked. In comparison with the Russian dubbing, she just "squeaked" like a chick. Venus has a softer and more melodic voice than ... the actress who gave the voice to Azura in Russia (the dream of a lifetime is to find out her name).
In the end, both voices were very liked. Although they are different, but it was very convenient for this brave little fairy-guardian. Each has its own zest, charm, attractiveness.
Kathleen Barr's voice was easier - in my opinion, it was not as much at odds with the Russian as it was with Azura. Laverna in both English and Russian caressed her ears. It’s hard to explain exactly what was in those notes. It’s just a damn beautiful voice, very suitable for the heroines.
Well, in general, everything is as before - with its flaws, inaccuracies, unsaid words and strangeness, the cartoon is still firmly in my heart. For the rest of my life I will remember it and review it. This is my childhood, my home, my love. A beautiful story filled with miracles. Thank you to the creators of this story, bow to the ground. The Magic Rainbow is worth watching.
