Seasons 1, 2 and 3 When someone specially for fans shoots not just a short film, but a whole short series for each season of the main one - it is always very cool and deserves respect. It is a pity, of course, that no one paid attention to “Origins” in our country; I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to Amedia’s team, which owns the rights to the main series in Russia. However, this did not stop me.
The first season, like all the others, was translated into Russian Vashchenko and I personally have no special complaints about the quality of this translation. From the first frame, the titles were pleased, which were again made quite stylishly - it is clear that the series was created not on the principle of "aba how." The plot touches on events from the moment of the arrest of the main character and up to the first frames of the main plot, being a kind of background. It shows what is left behind, organically complementing the original. Score: 8.
The second season tells a little about the events that take place before the arrest of the main character. In addition, it deeper touches on several scenes from the lives of minor characters who remained behind the scenes of the second season of the main story. Separately, I was pleased with the scene of the interrogation of the main character, which was shown here in its entirety, allocating three episodes to it. However, it is worth noting the absence of any action, erotic scenes and generally anything other than drama, creating a slightly oppressive atmosphere instead of entertaining the viewer. Score: 8.
The third season was the best of all. The plot of the episodes became much more important to the main story, it describes the meetings of many characters with each other and it was curious. Plus, finally there was an action that was so lacking. Rating: 9.
Summing up, I will say that as an independent product, this series does not make any sense, but I do not consider this a disadvantage, since it was originally created as a side product. To anyone who has seen Banshee and is pleased, I highly recommend it.
