The Incestuous Vampire Family Once upon a time there was a family of vampires who came from a noble and very old family. They tried nothing to attract attention to themselves, lived peacefully, not touching anyone. They did this for a while, but until Olaya appeared in their family. She, young and moderately beautiful, became the one who eventually began to threaten the existence of their ancient vampire family. And the thing is that Olaya wanted to enter into intimacy with a stranger and drink his blood. This, in turn, threatened the death of the entire vampire family. After all, they can live forever if only they keep an intimate connection within their family. Olaya becomes a threat to their existence and they try to protect or simply lock her in their eternal home, thereby protecting her from the outside world and depriving her of intimate contact with any member of the human race not belonging to their vampire family.
Director Amy Hesket shot her picture with a slight touch of art - houseness. The picture completely lacks any fleeting action, it is simply not here. The picture itself is not rich and looks quite slow and leisurely. All action takes place in two time periods, the past and the present, these two segments are interconnected, the present events are a direct consequence of the past. One and a half hours of screen time seemed quite long and drawn out, all this is a consequence of stinginess for interesting events in the picture.
Almost all the action takes place in one place, in a large house owned by a family of vampires. Its interior does not look old-fashioned, but rather modern, the only difference that distinguishes it from other similar houses is the presence of vampires in it. The picture is positioned as horror, but in fact it is not. There is nothing to frighten the viewer here, none of the old-sucular scenes can cause fear and awe. Bites and blood in the tape is minimal, at the beginning and at the end of the picture, the rest of the screen time is occupied by endless screen dialogues, which look quite bland and meaningless. Dialogues, in turn, are diluted with scenes with a naked female nature, which I cannot rank among the outstanding.
The atmosphere in the tape, too, as it seemed to me, not all right. No, it seems to feel, but it will not be possible to feel it at full power, here it was clearly influenced by script decisions in the elaboration of each individual scene. By acting, it is not possible to single out someone separately, the average game of the entire acting ensemble.
In general, the picture leaves behind very ambivalent feelings. But you do not have to regret watching, pictures from Bolivia are quite a rare guest, I can recommend to those who are interested in this direction of cinema, they will be able to appreciate this creation.
