“Strength, faith and hope.” One day a very good man said to me, ‘A detective is only good when you start to see a causal relationship only towards the end.’
“Wanted” is not just a detective drama, it is a whole bunch of interweaving relationships and characters.
It is about a famous Korean actress whose son was kidnapped. The kidnapper demands that in order for the boy to live, she must shoot a reality show called Wanted for ten days. Before each release, the girl comes a task that one must perform within an hour. For the successful completion of the task, the mother receives proof that her son is alive. For failure, the boy is waiting for death.
What, besides the plot, stands out this series against the background of other Korean projects?
Well, not every drama has such good camera work. Yes, it's not great, but on a level, clearly better than in many other similar projects. The acting is just as good, a lot of the actors are just amazing. The action scenes are well staged, although the playfulness still slips. And most importantly, the characters. Each character from the “core team” is spelled out more than well. Understand their thoughts, motivation to action, what is dear to them, as well as what they fight for.
Of course, in every detective the main ending. Maybe I'm just stupid, but almost until the very last, the real villain was beyond my suspicion. His motivation, like the other figures, is very understandable (although there is something that makes me a little confused).
Separately, I would like to note the behavior of the main character - the same actress whose son was kidnapped. She behaved like a mother who was worried about her child. With each episode, she became more and more determined, along with a sense of guilt for what had happened.
All in all, a good drama that will keep some of its viewers in suspense, making their brains move. Personally, I liked it. I will probably review it in the future.
