Be kind, strong, go to your dream In a Canadian town where Thelma and Louise could hide and live.
I haven’t enjoyed the movie in a long time. This movie is incredibly kind, sweet and touching. The genre of the film is a comedy, but it is a very soulful movie. Seen history inspires and brings a lot of positive emotions and something bright. This is all that can be said about the main character of this story - she is surprisingly kind and pure girl, despite all the injustice in which she has to live every day.
Meet Irene. She lives with her mother, who raises her alone. The mother does not allow the girl to use a computer, sit on social networks, have a cell phone. Irene goes to school and sits in her room all the time. Her mother is shy about her full daughter and doesn’t want her bullied. Irene dreams of becoming a cheerleader and dancing. Once on correctional work in a nursing home, Irene suddenly becomes closer to her dream, getting into a funny situation in which the heroine will find new friends and finally become what she dreams of being.
This movie has nothing to compare with. His story is curious, and director Pat Mills put everything on shelves and made a kind, atmospheric movie, full of irony, philosophy and something very heartfelt. Most of all, I liked and remembered the theme with Gina Davis, who was in Irene’s head, deciding to change her life forever.
I'm Gina Davis, I have everything.
Davis herself was very pleased to see in this Canadian film, although not enough, I wanted more and more scenes with her. Her character in this story was incredibly mysterious and inexplicable, and I liked it the most. The main role was played by an unknown actress Michelle McLeod (I don’t know how her name is translated into Russian). She played cleanly, and her heroine is wonderful, there is so much strength and goodness in her that there is enough for many people. Her Irene is looking for happiness, although in fact she is the greatest and purest happiness.
These films have a profound meaning. Although it is a comedy, the film is philosophical and carries great meaning. Its subtext is simple: no matter what, you need to be kind, strong and go slowly, but confidently to your dream. The picture looked with a smile and I want to show it to someone.
Don't Talk to Irene is a 2017 Canadian, soulful, musical comedy. Cinema is extraordinary and full of energy and positive. There are a lot of jokes and funny moments in the movie. I really liked this little-known and independent movie. Thank you and enjoy watching!
