Life is not perfect, and people are not perfect, they need to be loved as they are. Whatever they may be, we find them all in search of the very understanding that is equally important to all of them, to all of us. And if someone is lucky, he goes to no less difficult task is found to hold. All the individual characteristics of personalities are connected here, which should be taken into account when confronting their kind, which can be a difficult procedure, sometimes painful.
Balancing between a good relationship, where undiscussed problems are seen, and his “strangeness”, Todd risks being tipped off the ropes of a measured life through the special blunt force of watching in the window of his bedroom. And the "stupidity" here is characteristic not only for the force itself, but also for the owner, no matter how sad it sounds. And in a world full of truly stupid, inept people, those who have failed, or rather did not even try to hide, will be spit out. The right, that which is guessed by the majority, confuses much more in pure undisguised form, whether it is the nature of the matter, or the choice.
On the solution of what problem you will stop, when both relatives are hostages of a particular situation, both experience deep resentment and both at the same time. Looking at the global difference in the composition of characters, Todd risks psychosis in search of a universal pattern of behavior that will reconcile and unite those in love for whom there is no difference.
This story is life itself, jumping from the childish joy of the adjusted, and expected, but such a horribly unwanted and unloved shift from the map of the ideal present moment. Full involvement in a project whose probability of failure is equal to the probability of success, although you know that one will outweigh, you guess what it can be, but will you forgive yourself without trying?
What the Duplasses shoot is a kind, soulful movie, where children play by the road in between, sunshine glare adorns the district, but with a very bitter aftertaste, frankly and loudly stating that “bitter truth” is an inseparable phrase. Revelation is something that is not in abundance, no, but always in moderation in the films of two talented directors. They remove nature, tearing it away from the line where the animal turns into a man for a moral and ethical reason, detaching it from the very cause. Some things, many of them, are still there. Why should people conceal and restrain pain, give up instincts, cover up ugliness and hide in every way possible? Live from a temporary happy ending to the next discord and vice versa, but be open, hurry to understand, try to accept, not all at once, but in the end.
Duplasses for me are the same observers in the window behind the curtain that tightly squeeze the camera in sweaty palms and without blinking, the invariable principle of which is an exposition as far as possible from embellishing what they saw. We all know this, but we were not right there, inside the lives of those who live this way, we were shown it, but more romantic and poetic, and life is clearly prose.
