Bees make honey At one point, it began to be thought that the film audience received another notable actress. And we are talking about the British Alice Eve, who herself was born in the family of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Moan. And her debut roles in the films “Hawking” (2004) and “Beauty in English” (2004), Alice played while still a student, studying English at Oxford, and acting in Los Angeles. Both films were well received, but still inexperienced actress then was in the background, which is quite natural. But then the career of Alice Eve went upwards and she took part in notable projects with more screen time. Moreover, these projects differed in genre characteristics, so Alice Eve played in the comedy thriller "Full Bummer" (2006), a social drama with a whole scatter of stars of the first magnitude "Freight" (2008) and the romantic comedy "Too cool for you" (2010). And the actress began to attract in blockbusters and she starred in Crow (2011), Men in Black 3 (2012) and Star Trek: Retribution (2013).
And at first glance, Alice Eve was doing really well, but then something went wrong, except for Chris Evans’s “Before We Break Up” (2014). Whether the attractive blonde changed agent, or somewhere slipped the flair for good and strong work, but such films as “Velvet Morning” (2013), “The Look of Winter” (2013), “Worse than a lie” (2015), “Criminal” (2015), “Stolen” (2017) and a couple of others either went unnoticed or crashed at the box office and received negative criticism. And in the same series, you can undoubtedly make the comedy-detective farce “Deadly Halloween” (2017). By the way, the original title of this picture - "Bees Make Honey", that is, "Bees make honey", which involves not only an obvious expression, which tried to provide the public as a metaphor, but also played the name of the main character Honey, which, as you understand, embodied Alice Eve. And in addition to the British, except for her father, in the credits you will no longer find well-known names.
But here I must say that the creation of "Deadly Halloween" is generally a family contract. After all, for the authorship of the script and for the production was the younger brother of Alice Eve - Jack. And in his filmography, in addition to several short films, there was only one full meter - the little-known drama "The Death of a Farmer" (2014) with the participation of parents Alice and Jack. So, Jack Eve in the plot of "Deadly Halloween" laid the following story: a year ago at the celebration of Halloween someone insidiously killed the husband of the main character Honey. And now the woman decides to recreate the picture of what happened, inviting all those who attended the previous party to a new party. But there is one new figure, a young Inspector Sharop (Wilf Skolding). She is not yet aware of her significant role in the whole plan that Honey has conceived, but she quickly finds herself under her spell. But soon the inspector understands why he was invited and gradually plunges into the investigation, where several main suspects appear at once, including Sharop’s immediate superior.
The events of Deadly Halloween are set in 1934 in England in a sealed location with several suspects. And naturally, it all resembles Agatha Christie's handwriting. And at first "Deathly Halloween" diligently went according to the classical canons of the great English writer and it was even interesting to watch what was happening, because for some time Jack Eve managed to keep the intrigue, and his sister pampered the viewer with an expressive image and refined play. But all these, so to speak, achievements went to waste when Jack Eve decided to twist him almost into a spy novel, missing a clear and consistent plan for the development of the action. And then everything turned into a pitchless and incompetent farce, where the antagonists appeared before us in caricatured images. And at the same time, even Alice Eve was confused and ceased to understand what kind of heroine she played. And the disclosure of the murder mystery itself resembles childish babble, where there is nothing from solid detective material, and scoundrels, as already mentioned, can cause either convulsive laughter or complete bewilderment.
I would really like Alice Eve to regain her lost position, because while future projects of the actress do not appear any significant and expected projects, and ambitious and truly talented Alice gradually begins to slide into the niche of endless television films and TV series. As for Deadly Halloween itself, the beginning gave some hope, but then everything instantly collapsed and began to cause rejection. Of course, we all understand what family ties mean, but with such films, the authority of Alice Eve can generally get lost, and it is very difficult to return everything to its own circle, although the story of Robert Downey Jr. can serve as the most vivid and inspiring example.
