It could happen to anyone. At first, without carefully reading the description of the film, I thought that the film will be in the style of comedy, but when I started watching the film, I became convinced of the opposite, especially the film is based on real events. And the event is far from a joke and covers the topic of traumatic brain injuries in people, not for nothing the film is called ' Every 21 seconds'. Because people with brain injury have mood swings, outbursts of anger and aggression, and memory lapses every minute. And this movie is all about that.
This event happened to an ordinary family, in which husband Brian works as a sales manager and quite a successful manager, his wife is responsible for the household, and the children go to elementary school and it seems that nothing foreshadowed any big change, when suddenly one day after the incident in the bar, Brian suffered a very serious brain injury and spent a long time in a coma. After discharge from the hospital, he had a very long path of rehabilitation and throughout this journey, Brian’s moral, psychological and mental state, mood swings and outbursts of anger were very well demonstrated, whether it happened very often, the next day he could not even remember what he was doing last day, he had to say goodbye to work, and the most difficult thing in this situation is that Brian’s beloved wife had a very hard time morally, there was a feeling that she and her husband also experienced a brain injury, but in fact it is, because all such injuries primarily affect loved ones and are extremely difficult to watch. But thanks to modern methods of treatment and support for loved ones, everything can be overcome, I will even say that the support of loved ones and relatives is almost the main factor and the driving stimulus.
' Every 21 seconds' is a good emotional movie with a touch of drama about struggle and aspiration and the meaning of life, and how important it is to be just a person and enjoy your life and be healthy in every way.
