The plot is famously twisted. Two main characters from different worlds (not figuratively, but literally). She is a doctor, the daughter of the famous illustrator and author of the most popular comic book. He is an Olympic champion, unjustly accused of murder, but managed to justify himself and become a successful TV mogul. They weren't supposed to meet. And yet in an incomprehensible way it happened.
As a writer, it was especially interesting to watch, because the story began because of the author who invented and drew the comic. What can the imagination of the creator lead to? And how much can the characters capture their creator? These questions hung around throughout the viewing.
Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-ju played very harmoniously. Lovers find ways to meet against all odds. And yet Kim Eui Son (the actor who played the illustrator) is more remembered, masterfully reincarnating as an evil antihero.
In the drama showed and fans of creativity. When, in their opinion, the plot went as they wanted, they admired the author, but when the line changed, they began to resent. The author of the comic was in a difficult situation. On the one hand, the pressure of admirers, on the other, the arbitrariness of the characters who began to dictate their conditions.
Screenwriters surprised in almost every series. Although in the second part of the drama, the moments with Kang Cheol moving from the comic book world to the real world raised questions (but it is still fantastic, so forgiven). And you could also add panoramic views of Seoul, which would grace history. To predict the ending did not work until the end, I had to worry.
Very interesting idea, actually she attracted this series. It is very interesting to look at the development of events, but the behavior of the main character spoils the whole picture.
Extremely illogical and stupid actions, nothing unreasonable. In the background of everyone, she really seems crazy. The fact that the heroine got into the parallel world of the comic and it looks more sensible than her actions.
I want to ask, ‘Why are you doing this?’ There were times when you can still somehow throw everything on the fact that the heroine tried to get out of the comic, but most of the subsequent actions, her evasions, understatements look like complete nonsense. The series itself is interesting, but as soon as the heroine opens her mouth and starts doing something, it spoils the whole picture.
The father of the main character is a separate topic, there are generally incomprehensible seizures, the same inappropriate silence as the daughter. "Why don't you just tell me what's going on if you want to keep nobody in your comic book?" Apparently family.
The other characters really liked it. Kang Cheol was sorry when he tried to find out everything from the crazy main character. I understand why he pointed a gun at her. Kang Cheula’s girlfriend-secretary also behaved quite adequately, which caused sympathy. The head of security and she are the most sane people of the series.
Watched episode 5.
My second drama. It was masterfully done on the computer. They surpassed all the special effects and drawings of Americans. For me, they used to be the first. A lot of cute scenes about courage, love, courage. Special attention and respect for the actors who played the main character and the killer. P. S. Review of the maniac of fiction :
Before I started watching this work, I studied all possible reviews on all possible sites and realized that this drama is just a godsend for me! “Between Two Worlds” was one of the most rated dramas in the Russian Runet and I, stocking up on a candy kiogram, sat down for watching. Seeing the first shots of this masterpiece, I was directly amazed: How rhythmically, but smoothly the plot develops! And the main characters are so smart, quick! Oh, that's it! The beginning is really amazing: unusual turns, new secrets, personal experiences, and most importantly (don’t believe it) – the main characters have their heads on their shoulders! I was just caught in the whirlwind of these cartoon pictures with handsome Kang-chul.
I didn’t know what series it was all about. Unexpected twists and new secrets turned into a slush of a plot sucked out of a finger. It seems that the authors of this drama began to get confused in their own actions, and the secondary characters suddenly began to become dull. This was followed by the draining of almost all the characters except our beloved couple.
By the way, on the account of Lee John Soka - Kang Cholya and Han Hyo Joo - Oh Yeon Joo. Lee John Sook was irresistible. He just captivated me with his smile, but Han Hye Joo should have tightened his skills, but this pair played well. Already from the first series, from the very first meeting of the two, the viewer has no doubt that love is brewing. Of course, this is to be expected, but love develops too quickly. Serious problems, as such, are not yet, and they are already in the relationship, although they have only met a couple of times under strange circumstances. This drama did not have one of the most important moments for which people watch melodramas in general - the understanding that you love this person. That love, spark. I'm not talking about them looking at each other for ten seconds and kissing, no. They just love it, and the directors thought that kissing was love. But I didn't see that incipient love, that in love look. Everything happened too quickly and you don’t sit in front of the screen, breaking your hands: “Come on, come on, kiss her already, eh!” Maybe someone likes it, but I am not a supporter of such “flying with the arrow of love”.
As the two developed, the drama was VERY much like one movie with a number and colors in its title (I’m not talking about 18+ scenes for people with a special imagination). It was a relationship, you know -- he's all this rich macho who gives you a smile and a little hug. Half the country wants him, he's a charmingly handsome young millionaire with a complicated past. She, in turn, does not make any signs of attention, only cries if something happens to him, and tries to save him. That's good, but I've never seen her take the first step. I hope my message is clear.
As for the plot , everything was fine in the beginning. There were new pitfalls, and moments like “What to choose?” Salt or sugar? was a lot, which was baffling when the answer was “pepper.” It was very unexpected, but very exciting! But then, when almost all the maps were opened, the directors began to just invent nonsense! I was like, ‘Okay, this is the perfect ending, what else can you think of! the villains are dead, the problems are solved.’ Ha! It wasn't here! The villains are not dead, all are alive, and before they die, (no) the main character leaves 500 notes with Easter eggs that lead to even greater difficulties, then everyone begins to climb into these difficulties, then half of all the killed characters resurrects, again they try to interfere with each other, again they all run behind the tablet to draw themselves new cool cars with guns, then the artist again has problems, and, FINALLY, for about a year they roll around in one location, and it is worth at least one of the heroes to go home on the wrong path, as right on this path all the main villains, all the main villains, I accidentally shoot next to the other. By the end, I was just squandering, because about half of the series consisted of the memories of the characters that we saw so many times, the plot began to just pounce on each other, part from this world, part from another, and the hard boss of the main character, which was directly emphasized by a bold marker - very strict, suddenly looked through her fingers that Oh Yong-ju was missing for weeks at work, looking for 3-4 hours or arguing with her boss. The authors began to simply invent new problems that do not understand where they came from.
Of the good . Beautiful graphics, which well decorated the melodrama. It is impossible not to mention these beautiful comic pages that just catch the eye. Lee Jong-suk is irresistible. He's the only one worth watching this drama! Despite everything, the characters are very smart, they will not stand in tetanus and wait “by the sea of weather”, but will act and use the brain to think about everything they have, what they can do with it and what they can do.
I didn't like it too much. The idea is good, but then all the threads began to just cling to each other with the help of super glue. The plot became too sophisticated and in places uncharacteristically went childish.
Doramu looked at the whole thing. Impressions abound. I cannot refer my review to either positive or negative. Let me explain why.
After a long break between watching the dramas, I decided to watch something new with my favorite actors. The choice fell on "W."
I liked the play of the actors, I did not expect anything more.
The first few episodes, despite the fact that each goes almost an hour, watched in a volley. The plot is fascinating, entertaining interweaving of real life and comics, interesting heroes, with prescribed fates and characters. Exciting.
But somewhere in the middle, there are repetitions of the storyline, showing the same pieces as memories that by the end of watching the drama you already know by heart. Footage that, in principle, in such a number of repetitions and did not need.
And as a result, the last two episodes, I've been forcing myself to watch, just to see how it's going to end and how the writers are going to get out of the mess they've put themselves in. The answer is no. There was a sense of déjà vu that we had been fooled so much already. Despite the fact that the genre of fantasy was originally chosen and it was possible to come up with many moves, but in the end they were very much overthinked.
Even despite the impression of the last series, I can’t help but say that the creators of W – Well done! A lot of work has been done and many moments have been successful. But I would not review this drama, the end is a complete nudity.
The world you are immersed in from the first series
W was my second drama and I decided to watch it because of Lee Jong-suk.
Oh, my God. I discovered a masterpiece, was so shocked by this drama, recommended it to everyone I know.
Let’s start with a story that keeps each episode in suspense and transports you from the real world to the world of comics with O Yang Ju. The connection between the comic and the real world is transferred in full and you inadvertently think “it would be fun to be in the comic”. It is also worth noting the details of the creation, such as drawing moments from the comic, Kang Chol's transition to the real world, they were made so cool that there is nothing to indulge in. I advise you to watch the backstage was very interesting to see what work was invested in the drama. I also want to pay special attention to the actors, first of all I want to mention Lee Jong-suk in the role of President Kang, the role of the President is 100% his role and Ha Hyo-ju, which did not anger me at all in the role of G (as it often happens in dramas), also she just looked IDEAL next to Jong-suk. Also minor characters such as Father Oh Yang Ju, Secretary Seo Hee and Seo Do Young were very good, and Park So Boom (assistant creator of the comic book) is generally something with something, every time he appears, you want to laugh. I also want to note the wonderful scenery and clothes of the main characters are all very tasteful and stylish. And the icing on the cake is music that fits the mood of the drama perfectly.
Doram to watch everyone, you will not regret the time spent, and the emotions that she will give you will remain with you for a long time.

When a comic book protagonist is sexier than the real men around you
The characters of the South Korean dramas I watched have traveled through time, faced opposite social poles, fell in love with those who are not their type of preferences, jumped off cliffs and made love to mermaids. Now they travel from our world to the pages of books and back. Original and catchy.
The heroine is the daughter of the artist, seven years of successfully drawing and publishing the comic “W” about the athlete and multimillionaire Kang Chol. Hero, of course, two-meter charming handsome from the pages of her favorite comic. Dreams come true - one day they will meet.
Korean writers are just devils. How did so many talented souls emerge in such a small country in the second half of the twentieth century? They write how we breathe, knowing in detail how our blood flows, how stem cells are born and die, how the pituitary gland and taste buds at the tip of the tongue work. Who are these people?! Are they aliens? It is impossible to break away from viewing, every phrase touches the living. This is how you make a movie!
I'll mark the villains separately. Here and the imperious creator of the comic, the father of the main character, and a killer maniac, and the prosecutor of a fictional city. There are many of them, one more fervent than another, blood splashes on the bright walls. I've never seen so many scum per square meter. They are spelled out and do unthinkable things. It is very expensive to see.
Great special effects, a lot of different music, adult kisses, explosive jokes - I love this movie!
The plot is exciting from the first series, I will not say that from the first minutes, but definitely from the first series, it is only necessary to watch it to the end!
It is because of the plot that I put such a high score, I did not have to miss any series: the dynamics are always present, and this is not just a catch-up with shooting, but a logically built series of events from which you can have a head go round!
As can be seen from the short description of the drama, the main character gets into the world of the comic book, gets acquainted with its main character (and she herself is a fan of this web manhvi), and gradually the two worlds (the real and the world of the comic) begin to intertwine, which entails certain consequences.
It is surprising that despite the absurdity and illogicality of the plot, everything looks quite logical and thought out, and all the developments are related and explained.
I also want to mention that there is something to think about in the drama:
(1) We are all sometimes addicted to something made-up or unattainable, like half of Korea following Kang Chol's fate in a comic book, or how Yeon Joo risked herself for a fictional character;
2) you can separately consider the theme of the Creator / God / Creator or “I begot you, I will kill you” – how the author of the comic created, and then tried to get rid of his “child”.
These lines were not quite revealed, as it seemed to me (although 2 points and allocated several series).
As for the actors:
It's the first time I've seen Lee John-Sook and I'll definitely be looking for more to see.
Han Hye-Ju was very liked outwardly, and played well, except for the scenes with tears: she cried beautifully, but not really. By the way, her character was very pleased: one of those heroines who are not annoying and really do something, and not just go with the flow, as in many dramas.
Separately, I want to highlight the actor Kim Yi-Sung, who played the same author of the comic book and not only (intrigue). The actor perfectly showed two completely different characters, you will believe him, and even maybe a couple of times you will be scared!
The only thing that upset me: this comic book about Kang Chol (called "W") really exists, but only in Korean, and, alas, it can not be bought even electronically.

My relationship with this drama. Just half an hour ago I watched the last series and, as always, I write a review.
Overall, I liked the drama and didn’t like it. I didn’t, and then I got bored.
In particular: usually the first thing in the reviews are the story. Here, perhaps, the first difficulty for me - the plot is really exciting, unique, interesting. However, the drama is so dynamic that almost all the time your brain is in a state of tension, trying to understand what is going on. Of course, it is nice to come to the conclusion that, yes, everything is logical. But damn it, I always had a state of "Stah?" (Because I was only in this state for a few minutes while I was looking for a new episode, it was much easier for me than it was for those who felt the state of “Stah?” for the next week after watching another fresh episode—those guys I really feel for.) So, the plot really goes beyond the banal and clearly thought out, but too dynamic for my weak student mind. +2
Now I feel the need to walk through the actors. Lee Jon-Suk is untouchable - as always charming, attractive, salivating. +2 New to me actress Han Hye-ju left an average positive impression. I think she played 7.5 out of 10. All the same, any drama is the series in which a lot of roar, there is no dispute. Well, she didn't do it, because good old Stanislavsky screamed in my head every time she let down a tear. Firstly, she was white as a blank slate, not red as cancer, and secondly, her facial expression did not change at all. And if in general, Lee Jong-Suk cries so that the soul is tearing to pieces, and Han Hye-Joo just dripped herself with teardrops and curled her face. Other actors played secondary roles, and I'm lazy to talk about them. It's all patterned. -2
Plot, actors... There's music left and so on. I really liked the music, half of the sound in the playlist, but I’ll listen to a few weeks and go back to my favorite VIXX. +1 I didn’t like O Yoon Ju’s clothes. As Grandma dressed her - costumers dislike. But Lee Jon-Suk was dressed perfectly, so a neutral score to the costumers. The special effects are great. W is not W without them. They have a 4-point lead.
Decide for yourself, think for yourself: to look or not to look. Love the dynamics, action, a little blood, Lee John-Sook, kisses in dramas, break your brains - be sure to watch! From me, the drama gets to count for yourself.
Great idea, great actors, great visualization (how did they draw the web, saw it?), but what could have gone wrong? Inexplicably everything.
Let's start with the idea.
Invisible facet to connect manhva and real life bold and fresh idea. After all, at least once we wanted the hero of a comic or book to immediately appear before us and live happily ever after. But! The process of quashing all the nuances of animating a 2D character is as difficult as repairing or moving. The first times the heroine accidentally hit the other world looked like unexpected turns, which we, the audience, are interested in watching. And Kang Chol's gradual acquaintance with the mysterious Yongju seemed so romantic. However, then it was repeated again and again and the jumps back and forth were boring and pretty annoying. And the rapid development of feelings between the characters, even taking into account the “passing months”, thickened the colors of perception of the work as a whole. I am a girl and I want a normal relationship.
Then there are the actors.
Honestly, for me, Han Hye Joo is one of the most pleasant and interesting actresses in Korea and her sudden appearance on small screens was perceived as double pleasure. I thought she and Lee Jong-suk, who is also pretty good in most cases, would make a great movie couple. Chemistry, more chemistry! But no, she wasn't. Inexplicably, Hye Joo somewhere lost her magic, which I was fascinated with in the same “Always”, and the hero of Jong Sook is flat and typical Glavger a little seasoned with brain convolutions, so that everything was not at all sad.
I won’t even start with the inexplicable behavior of a drunken dad. Absurd.
Totally, it didn't come in or come in. I gave up halfway and don’t regret the time saved.
I didn’t want to write a review of this drama. Why? Because there is no limit to indignation!
I watched the first two episodes with great excitement. I was very impressed by the originality of the story. The reviews were good, the ratings were high, and I sat down to watch coffee.
I’m not sure what series went wrong. Initially, the exciting plot began to carry away with its depth, absorbing into the life of the comic, as in the case of g. But then everything stopped, the swing began with the father-writer and had to notice the acting, soundtracks, etc.
And if everything was fine with the music playing against the background, then with the main characters there are only surprises. I liked Lee Jong-suk back in 'Pinocchio' - I know what he's capable of. In 'W' I wanted to crack it in order to somehow unwind! There is no scene where I would believe him. Well, here's the true Ken from the puppet story: just external charm, no acting. Unlike the actress Han Hye-ju, who I think drew this series. I didn’t like her before.
The plot went into the abyss, blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction. Towards the end, the idea of erasing began to annoy. Remember the old American TV series, in which someone constantly has to overcome non-life obstacles, and then it turns out that it was just a bad dream. You know what I mean?
It is up to you to watch or not. I certainly don't want to reconsider.
In general, this may seem crazy. Especially towards the end of the drama, when the plot goes in circles and besides, some moments seem unclear, somewhat murky. It gets boring and you want it to end soon.
It was especially incomprehensible to me, why not immediately, quickly get rid of the villains? Why do you want to do that?
If you discard all the nudity and did not think much about the meaning and logic of events, look at the scenes, it is quite vivid, funny and romantic!
Lee Jong-suk played well. I really liked Kang Chol. Smart, brave, with a sense of humor, and fights well.
It's the first time I've seen Han Hye Joo, so it's hard for me to judge her performance. But I can tell you that Oh Yoon Joo didn't bother me.
Another character made me sympathetic. This is Kang Cholya's friend and assistant So Do Young (actor Lee Tae Hwan).
You can see it. I don’t think I’ll be revisiting it.
Despite the fact that I start writing a few hours before the release of the last series, and I will finish after watching – first of all I will note the option “positive type of review”. First, because it is impossible to merge this story, and secondly, Double Yu has already shown itself enough to remain, at least, a juicy film product.
"W" - pure literature for kettles. With amazing accuracy, the moments of interaction between the author and the reader (remember only the doctor imbued with fanaticism, changes in the plot on the reader's behalf), the identity of the author and the hero (we see the situation where the author himself becomes a character), the means of creating the realism of the artistic work, the vitality of the characters (existing as long as they are necessary), the laws of artistic space and time (the passage of time depends on its eventfulness). The heart of the philologist simply rejoices, making such a fascinating journey into the artistic world.
"Double yu" is damn entertaining from the first to the last series! The system of characters, both main and secondary, harmoniously fits into these worlds (especially fiercely frenzied by the GIF fan of the comic book Mr. Park). I leave a place for delights about the game Jong Sook (Kang Chul) to you, I will add only a word about the charmingly looking beside him in the frame Hang Hye Joo (O Yong Joo). Oh Young Joo's father seemed impressive. The only one who left indifferent is the villain, who aimed for the presidency, somehow neutral.
What is missing in the world W? This is an absurd question about the insufficiency of something and to say it is ridiculous! It has everything: an intriguing plot, vivid characters, amusing romcom moments, elements of fantasy, drama, thriller, comedy - and all in one drama. Here is the topic of redundancy to touch, no matter how twisted, you will need. The fact is that the plot opens before us, which at any moment can change, affecting the temporal perspective, and without compromising the very logic of film narration - attempts to "finish" everything make the possibilities of the characters limitless. This situation simplifies the conflict, it becomes more superficial, it creates the feeling that he did not exist at all, like Yeon Joo once had a husband. But will such a small circumstance be able to tear us away from the screen, waiting for the speedy appearance of subtitles for the final series? No, no, no, no, no!
That's all. The most important thing for everyone is not to forget to come back. "W" ended in September 2016, get back to the real world!
Cumao, listen up!
For the first time in a long time, I saw in the drama not just a typical romantic drama, but a rather unique and rare plot. It was because of him that I loved this drama so much. The constant movement of characters from the real world and the comic book world, as well as sudden turns of events are exciting and do not give time to relax and get bored. Therefore, first of all, I want to mention the screenwriter Jae-John's Dream who wrote such an incredible script and director Cho Su-won, who was perfectly able to depict and explain the events of the plot.
In addition, the drama attracts a good cast. O Yeon-ju (Han Hye-ju) - a girl surgeon and a young entrepreneur Kang-chul (Lee Jong-suk) - are the main characters in the drama, whose fate intersects with each other. Their acting is impossible not to praise, and especially want to highlight Lee Jong-suk. During his long career, he has shown himself as a good actor, but it seems to me that it was in this drama that he fully revealed his talent.
Also, it is impossible not to mention the secondary characters of the drama Yun Seo Hee (Jung Yoo Jin) and So Do Yun (Lee Tae Hwan), who are the best friends and assistants of the main character Kang-chul. In general, the cast was selected quite well, which can not but please.
In conclusion, I can only say good things about this drama, it won my heart and took the place of one and loved ones.
