“Thousands of voices shouted to me, ‘Go back there!’” The movie is shaking. In the center of the story of two girls, one is trying to get back from a radical environment and a way of thinking, the second just goes there. The story goes very vividly, without unnecessary pauses, focusing on the experiences of the characters and changing the course of thought as their belief system changes.
Very well shown are the tricks that Daesh (" Islamic State) uses for recruiting - videos pressing on compassion, a false set of associations and so on. It shows how they manipulate the simple, almost childish needs of girls and how easy teenagers are led to it.
The acting game is very strong - according to the micro-expressions of the heroines, you can catch that gradual change in their moods - fear, determination, loss, hatred, regret. The confusion and determination of parents are well shown, without shifting the main accent.
After watching the film left very strong feelings. Good for those who are already a little interested in the topic and in general to understand what is happening under our noses.
