Tutto Passa Everything passes, cuts and cuts remain
Everything passes, these memories trample me.
As time passes, I turn it off like a match.
Everything passes, flies out of prison with a break.
Josciua Algeri
These lines, the author of which is the performer of the main male role of the young violator of the law Josh Joscia Algeri, as if not incidentally suitable for displaying the main mood of the film “Fiore” ("Flower) directed by Claudio Giovannesi. This film is devoted not only to the problems of crime of teenagers, fathers and children, but also, of course, such important topics as the meaning of one’s own existence and the ability to feel love and experiences of all its facets. That’s what learning to do, or rather, to realize for the first time a young street bully Daphne. She is an abandoned child with a living father, who, although visiting a girl in prison, but mentally he has long been not with her, but with a new wife and her children. Therefore, meeting with her fellow misfortune Josh becomes something very important and touching for her in her difficult fate. Throughout the film, the viewer observes how “the plaster of rudeness gradually peels off layer by layer, giving out tenderness and love”, which Daphne so diligently tried to hide. And not only she, all the girls in this correctional institution wanted to love and be loved, just life did not give them such a chance.
As for the visual solutions of the film, here I want to note the realistic frame by using the effect of a hidden camera and pleasant natural landscapes.
It is also impossible not to mention the tragic fate of actor Joscia Algheri, whose lines were mentioned above. Not only an up-and-coming actor in Italian cinema, but also a talented writer-performer, Joscia died in a car accident. Like his character, Josh, the young actor also experienced all the hardships of prison life, but at the same time he managed to change not only his life, but also remain in the hearts of the audience as a flower that, despite the concrete wall, was able to abyss to the light.
