Local cult This production is primarily intended for lovers of cheap and weak, in all cinematic senses, paintings. Director Blake Wrigle takes as a basis the story that many before him told. The story of a girl who, in search of a loved one, becomes part of a community preaching incomprehensibly that she clearly does not look fresh. Reading the description suggests that somewhere I have already seen it.
There are many low-budget films that look interesting. This is primarily due to the well-written atmosphere, the tension, the script, the dialogue, the strong acting I do not take into account, since for the most part it is extremely rare to observe in the paintings of the second echelon. And this picture is proof of that. For the most part, the cat cried. Of the girls in the community, there is no one to single out. No one remembers, no one evokes sympathy. Their game looks weak, even against the background of the whole level of the picture. Cult leader Brand for me is the weakest link in this tape. Brand leader of a community, fenced off from the world in the countryside. What he wants from girls is less clear. But that's why he needs all this is somehow unclear, the idea itself here remained unfinished. The actor who played his role does not cause any emotions. His play is played without emotion and facial expressions, he has the same facial expression, clumsy and iron, with few exceptions. His role did not work out, as did many other things. For example, it was not possible to create a terrible and disturbing atmosphere, let alone any tension. Here, in my opinion, the script flaws affected. Raw script filling as one of the obvious disadvantages of the film.
The finale of the picture at least somehow will be able to cheer up its viewer, against the background of the entire level of the film, it slightly stands out. The ending will give its viewer a little scary and a little bit of blood, which throughout the picture did not have to see. But on the overall assessment of the picture, the final showdown did not affect me in any way.
