In 2001, this film was shown on ORT under the title 'The Master'. I really liked it, I wanted to review it, but it was not shown on TV anymore.
Years later, I sinfully found it in half on the Network (on Russian-language sites it is called so ' Puppet Master', then ' The creator of dolls', so in the end I had to look for the original name), but here's the trouble - in the Russian translation it seems not on the Internet. I have scoured all possible communities of Jane Fonda fans, but there are only mentions of the film, there is no video, and there is no talk of delights like DVD. Where to find a kind English-speaking person who at least Russian subtitles for the film did, ekh.
In general, I had to download from YouTube (in the original it is even on YouTube!) the original version without translation. Only, alas, with my level of English, I can hear one word in ten. But did it once sound for ORT, did that version not survive anywhere? . .
The film itself is the story of the life of an ordinary housewife who raises children, leads a house, struggles with everyday troubles - and in between cuts wooden toys. Her little daughter dies, but the poor woman repeatedly finds the strength to go on.
Good movie, I recommend it if you know English or find a translation version. ;
