Unexpectedly funny This series can be considered a godsend for fans of sitcoms of the Russian segment. It is not very popular in our country.
The plot revolves around not the most stereotyped American family (with many children and a couple of pets), but about a married couple living in their home, by fate, with a father-in-law. Humor is mostly situational, but not rarely witty jokes make you laugh in your voice, which is very rare in modern sitcoms. The series can be considered a key in the acting career of the now popular Kevin James. But the main nugget, I consider the game of Jerry Stiller (father of the notorious Ben Stiller), who plays just the father-in-law of the hero Kevin James. It is incredibly funny and funny with almost every appearance on the screen, and largely thanks to him, I believe, the series is extremely smooth, without sags, throughout all 9 seasons (although the 9th can be considered weaker than the others, but it is also the shortest).
Together with the series, it is interesting to observe the development of technologies of the late 20th century and early 2000s, when it actually came out. From fixed disk phones to mobile phones. From VHS players to DVD players. And many other things that catch up with many memories from those who remember those times.
To my taste, I put this series in the TOP 5 humorous ones that I have seen. After Friends, Clinics and CVM. If you like these humorous series, then I would advise you to watch the King of Queens.
