Little Miss and Her Mr. Bookmaker Jones rightfully bears the nickname Sad. His life is dull and joyless and he floats along its current, not hoping for better times. But one day, one of the players leaves him as collateral his little daughter, who by his appearance will make a lot of changes in the life of Sad Jones.
The 1980 film Little Miss Marker, a remake of the 1934 film of the same name, was directed by Walter Bernstein. “Little Miss Marker” is a really kind and sweet comedy melodrama, telling that love is subject to everything, you just need to let it into your heart, as did the main character of the film, bookmaker Jones, who met a little miss on his way. Walter Matthau brilliantly played Sad Jones, creating both a dramatic and comic image. No less magnificent in the role of Amanda Julie Andrews, whose character became a real decoration of the film, adding to it notes of true femininity. Memorable characters also played in the film Tony Curtis, Bob Newhart and Brian Dennehy.
Filmed by cameraman Philip H. Lathrop very brightly and dynamically, masterfully immersing the viewer in the sincere world of this film.
Composer Henry Mancini wrote a stunning, surprisingly melodic and lyrical soundtrack for the film, perfectly suited to the video series of the film.
I recommend this great film to all viewers without exception and I think the tape will not disappoint you at all.
