Happy City is a series that tells the story of a group of people who are connected by a common unsolved mystery of the past. There have been a number of kidnappings in the city. The kidnapper’s name, motives and consequences have never been revealed. However, history is destined to repeat itself and all the secret must become clear.
There are only 8 episodes in this series. After looking to the end, the viewer continues to be lost in guesswork. It seems that the answers to all questions have been received, but something is missing. What's next? How will the characters cope with the information received and what will follow? Imagination enters the work, but I would like to see the vision of the authors.
"Happy City" is a mix of real and fictional. Even the main villain of the film is called the Witch (or the Magician, depending on the voiceover). This fact adds a kind of charm to the work. It seems that the viewer is ready to implement fiction, but everything remains within the framework.
From series to series, there is a sense of mystery. Even a person who has watched no film with such a plot will be interested in watching the course of events. The actors perfectly cope with their task and keep intrigue.
In the end, I advise you to watch "Happy City" and be attentive to all the details. Perhaps they will help to put together a common puzzle in the last series. The ending came as a surprise to me. But that's even the plus of the series. Perhaps in the future you will want to reconsider at leisure.
