Doom. I saw it for the first time, even though the movie is famous. I remember Dostoevsky and Truffaut at once. And Bergman, of course. Endless dialogue, clarification of relations, like our national genius. As the main content of life. And Bergman, whose characters are constantly discussing various “causing everyday objects”. On the other hand, Truffaut’s parents rigidly model the life of the child, assigning him qualities that he does not have (400 strokes). So a normal boy is driven to madness, he becomes a bandit in a school for difficult educators.
In family life, parents persistently shape the life of their daughter. And she, unfortunately, lacks neither the will nor the life experience to resist this. They force her to get rid of the child (!), although the girl is quite mature, no longer Lolita. Of course, the situation is somewhat exaggerated, but this is a common method of art, otherwise, probably, the recipient will not reach (or at least will not hook). However, the authenticity of the dialogues, their authenticity with real life is beyond doubt. And they are built in such a way that it is impossible to break away.
Of course I'm on the girl's side. And I know such doomed natures in reality. Worse, when the parents are diplomats, they do not speak directly, but as if they call for reflection. There may be an illusion of independence. But those same parents will give all their blood drop by drop, for their child, if necessary. You can, of course, add about the psychopathic inclinations of this heroine, but the problem will not be solved.
