It is worth thinking about the & nbsp;genre. First of all, I would like to draw attention to the genre. If I had been shown this movie when I was 9 or 10 years old, I would have had the same reaction as I do now: “So where is the horror that should have visited me after watching this movie?” It seems that the director decided to cover several genres in this picture, but not one of them has not been revealed.
The first part of the film immerses us in grief and suffering, settled family, i.e. genre - dramas. The second part shows us about the disclosure of the secrets of this house, where the genre is clearly traced - "Thriller". And the third part smoothly passes from the second, because here we find out who appears in the frame every minute and a half. The third part, in my opinion, is fiction, because almost the entire film we are “fed” by the fact that ghosts move around the room, but to my surprise, they were just ordinary zombies, because otherwise it can not be called. I think that M. Stokes knew that this was a haunted theme and decided at the end of the film, to distinguish himself from the rest of the directors, to insert zombies. Pretty, but not thematically.
About the actors. The only one who touched me in this movie was Teri Polo, who was a great mother, a dead son. Perfectly filed emotionally and accommodated a multifaceted struggle between belief in ghosts and paranoia, about the beloved son.
The end is expected.
