Impression of "Revenge" First of all, I want to point out that this is my first review, so I chose a film that doesn’t have a single review. “I want to be the first to say it”:
Now, let’s move on to the movie, right away. I only watched it because of director Brad Furman. I really liked his latest film “Lincoln for a Lawyer” and decided what the director himself consists of, so to say that he shot before, and before it was short films and one cheap crime drama “Revenge”.
“Revenge” at first glance is not a bad film, about revenge, about friendship and about family relationships. But there is one thing, but in my opinion, the writers have overstepped the stick. The main character was shot in the head!! It doesn't go in the same direction. If the writers wanted to change his personality, why didn’t he just get a head injury? I’ve never seen a head injury, other than Fight Club, and I think it’s crazy. After that, all ends meet. (It’s not a spoiler, I didn’t get out of the trailer.)
John Leguziano's performance is at a high level. He handled the role of father, husband, friend and enemy very well. And the whole movie I was empathizing with the hero, and sometimes I was like, "Man, what are you doing?"
But the game of Tyrese Gison wants to leave only the best. I don't think he played the gangster I wanted to see. In "Transformers" and "Fast and Furious" he laid out more.
In conclusion, I want to say that the film may disappoint you and if you are not sure if you want to watch it, you should not watch it. If you want to see it, it will be nice to see it.
