Yuri Stoyanov has always been associated with the program "City", but after watching "Vampires of the middle lane" he discovered a great actor in it. So I began to watch this picture with interest, where he starred in 2009. Good, sentimental, not simple, thought-provoking cinema. A great example of Russian cinema!
Dmitry Meskhiev’s paintings have their own specific note and mood. These are good movies, but always sad. More specifically, with a sad smile. This is probably because the characters and characters are easily recognizable. How many people can you see just walking down the street? . .
The pearl of the film, of course, Yuri Stoyanov is a completely infallible, one hundred percent hit in the image. He is ridiculous, angular, shy, but extremely sincere. Even when it is necessary to portray a rude general (lieutenant general, excuse me), intimidating the raiders with a meeting with an insatiable convict. Life does not stick – a career in the theater is limited to taking out a glass of water, family life is stuck in a swamp, and the hero is amused by creating new worlds for himself and others. Standing at the window, he guesses the mood and thoughts of passers-by and, moreover, directs their actions and actions.
His meeting with Sonya (Kristina Kuzmina) is very symbolic - a sharp throw to the curb meant a sharp change in life. She is a kindred spirit; being a photojournalist, Sonya is attentive to people, and she also tends to think about their thoughts and feelings. Although the change in Dronov’s life occurred only when he met Sonia’s fiancé, Stas (Vladimir Vdovichenkov). And there's some tragedy in that. The key link is Sonya, but it is Stas who lets Shura spill all his unspent talent. Sonia and Shura know they're not together. And not because he's married, and she's in a weird relationship with her boyfriend. The chemistry between them works only at a distance. A man at the window and a man under the window.
But this change in Dronov’s relationship with his wife was completely enriched, which, of course, is offended that the husband gives all his warmth to people outside the window. Fortunately, she is wiser than her emotions. And so their story will not end.
An unusually touching film. I do not want not to go through the blunders, nor to notice especially successful moments. I want to thank Yuri Poteenko for the amazing music.
Watch The Man at the Window, you won’t regret it. After all, there was so little kindness on the film and television screen.

A good soulful film about a good soul man. It's so emotional that it's a little out of the ordinary. No wonder the hero talks about the profession "man at the window" which take mentally handicapped.
Sometimes you want to touch someone like that. Get some food. That’s why there are all these people who seem to have nothing to do there. A wife who does not need Dronov, either materially or physically. A beautiful girl who has everything. More successful friend. Even a rival employer can’t be completely angry with Dronov. People lack kindness!
In my opinion, Stoyanov brilliantly conveyed such a modern town prince Myshkin. Garmash, as always, is good, although in the end frankly "merged" his hero in favor of the opponent. Kristina Kuzminkina is a pleasant discovery.
And as for roughness and inconsistencies, I suggest not to be nagging. Perfect movies are one. The same "Forest Gump" (close in spirit to this picture), which is valued much higher, I personally perceive as an outspoken American lubricant. So many people, so many opinions. And, in order not to overdo it in criticism, I suggest watching One Left and be glad that in Russian cinema there is Dmitry Meskhiev.

Modern Russian cinema is not scolded only by the lazy, but probably by those who do not watch it. Meanwhile, there are very entertaining pictures that clearly demonstrate our cinema is alive and not so bad, frankly speaking. And confirmation of this painting by Dmitry Meskhiev “Man by the window”. The film is so interesting and unexpected, like a snowdrop in a fierce winter. Firstly, an interesting scenario, not stamped, not redrawn in a thousandth mode. Second, it’s more than worthy of direction. And, thirdly, the incredibly beneficial game of Yuri Stoyanov. In his “Gorodka”, this talented man played more than a ton of characters, paired with Ilya Oleynikov and the image of the artist Shura Dronov is so skillfully drawn that in addition to bravissimo, there is nothing to say. No, actually, it's not just a nervous twitch, and not even a twitch, but a cool spectacular film that combines a great sense of humor and melodrama.
Lives quietly and peacefully artist Shura Dronov. Works in the theater. Married. But the relationship with his half, to put it mildly, is not good. And in the theater there is no trail of super roles and victories on the love front, which can not be said about his colleague Boris Kazantsev (Sergey Garmash). But there is a habit of standing at the window, watching passers-by and unravel their lives. This habit just infuriates Dronov’s wife (Maria Zvonareva). Or at least henna.
But it's not the age to be our hero a misfit. There will be a party on his street. Quite by accident there was an accident and the hero of Yuri Stoyanov gets acquainted with the charming Sonya (Kristina Kuzmina). And this meeting is very significant for both. Sonya has a boyfriend Stas (Vladimir Vdovichenkov), a rich buratino, who is not averse to doing things not quite legally. So this unfortunate artist Dronov turned up to him, as if fate itself had sent him. And life turned into a penny of copper, as one chansonnier sings.
A person needs only a small push, an impulse, and he is already transformed and turns from a note outsider into a leader. But here it is necessary not to bend the stick on joy. Fortuna, the lady is changeable. In short, the artist Dronov went into a rage than surprised gink and Boris Kazantsev the more.
Situations and events in the film so accurately reflect our reality that it is impossible to believe. And above all these mise-en-scene scenes is vitality, optimism and humor. And some philosophy. There is a story about a man at the window. By the way, Shura Dronov in the film will tell about her very well. And it will be very moving. Really! I think if you spend an hour and a half of your evening watching this light, a little sad, a little ironic movie, you won’t regret a second. As for me, I received a huge charge of cheerfulness and excellent mood. Maria Zvonareva liked, Kristina Kuzmina did not spoil the lunch, and Garmash lit up the role of the second plan. That's it.

Sweet, tasteless melodrama, reminds not the best Soviet films. Why so much excitement? Maybe you just missed ' kind ' Soviet cinema? Then everything is very bad, the level of audience taste fell, even if such films look ' in one breath ' After all, there were pictures with similar characters ' There was a songbird' for example. Too ' kind' the background on which Stoyanov delivers his speeches and performs his noble deeds. Unfortunately, this actor in his role is terrible, there is no declared script and directing depth, in some scenes just wooden, flat, says the words and everything. For such an interesting character, you need a game of subtle, deep, and Stoyanov sometimes neither the face nor the figure at all express anything, nor feelings, nor thoughts - sits or stands like a bag, it is supposedly he thought or is ashamed, about which we should only guess, even look awkwardly, because this is an artist I respect. For example, in the scene in the restaurant with Kuzmina, even bewilderment arises: and what in this expressionless, flat man found this girl? While other artists (Kuzmina, Garmash, Zvonareva) play organically, interestingly. The scene of a date with his wife in the detention center, where they kiss, is beautiful, but I think Zvonarev puts more power into it. True, in the eccentric Stoyanov in his place - in the role of Lieutenant-General and employee of the Administration.
Simple emotional melodrama fits into the standards of those works that show Saturday evenings on the TV channel “Russia”. Talented, but uneven Meskhiev made, perhaps, the most unambitious and simple film, absolutely different from “Own” and “Seven booths”.
Paying tribute to the good feelings that the cinema arouses, and the good work of Stoyanov, I still want to note both the simple aesthetics of the film and the doubtfulness of a number of ethical premises. Is it a reality that conventionally in the scenery of nocturnal Moscow, you can shoot either eccentric comedies or a total black woman, but in any case, a “good” film if it is not at all lubricant, raises questions.
The wave is friendly towards the participants shown fraudulent actions, bribery (accompanied, however, by Pravdorubsky rhetoric), the crisis of repertory theater, absolute arbitrariness of law enforcement officers. Bad people, as it were, there are no friends of the heroine Stas because he faints at the birth of his daughter and a good investigator got caught. It is absurd to claim that the social situation corresponds to a sweet Christmas story with a sadness, but it was the background of the story told that had a depressing effect on me.
Why in all our films with the inclusion of the theme of theatrical life is so poor and simplified shown life behind the scenes, performances of actors on stage? The worst in this film is also related to the situation on the stage and behind the scenes with Sergei Garmash, who worked surprisingly badly and catchily. Garmash played absolutely in the role of Valery Garkalin, knowingly leveled the status of the alleged rival of the character Stoyanov, who in a clean field looks obviously advantageous with a few exaggerated habits of the shy intellectual.
Stoyanov’s solo antics as a lieutenant general and an employee of the Presidential Administration are good in themselves.

Interesting. Does that happen in life? When do dreams come true at the most unexpected moment or come from nowhere to also unobtrusively disappear?
Light at first glance scenes with reincarnations of the main character, the film is built, gradually drawing the essence of the main character, his kind soul and genuine craving for true love. I take my hat off to comedian Stoyanov. True, some scenes seem not ours, too good, glossy and colorful, and therefore empty. The film itself is very good.
Playing someone else’s roles is sometimes harder than your own, but living them is even worse. So at one moment the heart will not withstand bright reincarnations.
The main character just wanted to get away from the routine, which every year devoured him without pity and reproach. He lived pretending to be so... And one day I met her to change.
“Man by the window” is a picture with a good feeling and soul, which will not calm down in any way and only, watching scenes from someone else’s completely unnecessary life, you can only find yourself for a moment and believe that dreams, though not for long, come true.
