Lies. The Daughter of the Metro Line is a 2009 French drama directed by Andre Techinet. In general, I love watching the films of this director and always begin to watch them with anticipation of something original, tense and very interesting. After watching this so-called drama, I was completely disappointed. I wasn't impressed by the movie. I can even say that I didn’t like him.
We see the main character - a young girl who lives in the suburbs with her mother. Her mother is trying to arrange a life for her daughter, but the girl lives in a lie, and we see the story of dissolving lies and removing pretend masks.
I don’t know what I wanted to say with this film Teshina, because his picture turned out to be empty, disposable and generally not interesting. Halfway through the movie, I want to forget and turn it off. Despite the fact that the movie lasts 97 minutes, it feels like it lasts endlessly, killing with its lifeless and uninteresting story. An empty, unnecessary movie. Emily Dequienne, Michelle Blanc and Mathieu Demi starred. All of them are little-known, ordinary actors, and especially no one impressed in this picture. In the actress Emily Dequienne, who played the main character, I tried to see something worthy, her strengths, but I did not like this actress. The only thing that pleases in this film is the scenes with Catherine Deneuve. If it weren’t for her presence in the movie, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to watch it all. She is a wonderful actress, and out of respect for the director starred in this film, because Teshine gave her several great roles. But this picture is a failure and perhaps the worst on the list of the film Deneuve. The film’s budget is $9,000,000 million, but you don’t feel that budget when you watch it.
Don’t buy into the film’s beautiful title and the presence of Catherine Deneuve. The movie did not work, and it is not worthy of attention.
