Stupid cheapie... There once was a homegrown dude,
Skinny, with glasses, and everything else.
He was not expected to succeed in women.
Called... Let's put a thread.
Maxim Voronkov and before his "crown" film, for which many now want to kill him, was not popular, this is proved by the ratings of all his films, which were low even before the people began to massively put the stakes of all his filmography, watching the remake of "Caucasian Captive"; as well as reviews of his old comedies, also appeared before this creation, which are few, but all extremely negative. Specifically, this film went unnoticed by reviewers of Kinopoisk, and on one pirated site, oddly enough, quite a few praised “And mom is better!”. Personally, I decided to see this “work of art”, thanks to a review from BadComedian on the remake of “Prisoner”, where he said the following words: What did Maxim Voronkov do before this movie? Boob-perdile comedy Babnik 2, wretched Adventure seekers, incest comedy A mother is better ...". I'm not a pervert, of course, but I like movie dirt, so I got interested. Having watched so far three films of this eccentric who shames Russian comedy cinema, I can say that Bad has not watched a single Voronkov film, except for the object for review: in "Babnik 2" never showed his chest, and no one spoiled the air, and the film about which he will speak, is not at all about what comes to mind when reading the title . 3D-blockbuster (well, maybe Max really calls his brainchild), plagiarizing "Indiana Jones", I only plan to see, and I would only subconsciously hope that he would see. The comedy with a non-standard name, which I will now describe, made it clear that Voronkov is not able to invent brilliant plots, but can only plagiarize those (a stupid parody of Soviet comedy proved this), and his plots are not worth a fucked-up egg. The idea was not bad (as you will understand later, the idea of this film is not what the famous blogger suggested), but the incarnation struck with its blatant banality, primitiveness and stupidity.
The film tells about a loser who does not know anything in life, did not come out face and figure, and about relationships with women he can only dream, but faithful friends push him to a bold step, after which all the next steps were taken by the one who fell in love with him at first sight and accepted him with all his shortcomings. Yasha thinks about why he got such a charming happiness, and how fate will have to pay for it, while his new life partner tries to teach him everything and give him a place in life, but where there, if Yasha does not even know how to skate. The first burst of laughter triggers a scene with the last of what was said, when the hapless "athlete" swooped on rollers directly onto the toilet. A potential bride offers Yasha to meet her parents, for which you need to fly to Crete. The second burst of laughter evokes a ridiculously funny reference to Yasha's past when he tried to bring the girls home and introduce them to his parents. And soon it becomes clear that the title of the film, according to which you can think about the film the dirtiest that can be assumed, does not mean incest at all, but the main character’s falling in love with the mother of his bride, because he saw in the future mother-in-law the ideal person.
It would seem that it is funny to show love for the future mother-in-law, given that relations with the mother-in-law of most men, to put it mildly, do not add up, which many humorists successfully joke about, but the comedy "And Mom is better!" (stop snorting with contempt, the film is not about that) is really hopelessly stupid, although it looks visually cute - a beautiful mother and daughter, courting the loser; glamorous atmosphere. As for humor, there are only two scenes to laugh at. Even the picture did not impress: like beautiful shooting in Crete, but cheap and unremarkable, the scenery is also the most ordinary. Of course, better than Voronkov’s first film “Babnik 2”, but again there is no sense, and there are few funny moments to the outrage. But, apparently, this is the ceiling.
