Pretty crazy series on the theme of martial arts, which is about losing to movies And the positive reviews are very embarrassing, as if there were not that bunch of films about martial arts with the same Van Damme, Jackie Chan, Seagal, Stallone, Bruce Lee, etc. There really aren’t enough fingers on the body to list all these movies. Here the series is not very old - the year 2006 and in fact does not offer anything new. Looking at the animated curves was very exhausting, especially considering watching that bunch of hand-to-hand combat movies. Only moments the film really pleased with the color of the fighters, although there was a feeling of their borrowing from the game muzzles - the same King of Fighters, Street Fire, Killer instinct, Tekken, etc. But the game series of fights is no longer so new. That was the feeling that we just borrowed different characters from the game universes and beat them in the series. Only the already fantastic ones were excluded.
It is clear that without it, the local characters can impress – they are really colorful in places, although sometimes they behave absurdly. The same colorful musical fighter Siegfried, who performs during the battle of the symphony - fake of course, but funny. And in general, the production of the series is not very new. In fact, even in the ancient gyver was used such mechanics. The main character acquires a certain ability and that hour comes the opponent to test it. Here is the same - the series are similar to the levels of the game, where the newcomer character gets more and more difficult opponents every time and in the final we are waiting for a climax.
From this film it was possible to make a kind of film homage on 'Scott Pilgrim vs. everyone' - only there the character fought in a certain animated style with the exes of his new girlfriend. It would be impressive, but it does not claim to be serious.
Maybe the influence of the same Giver, but watching the series was mostly boring due to the large abundance of stupid moments. What are the twists of one of the alleged friends of Kenichi - Nijima? Also, the influence of Scandinavian epics is very strong, which apparently are still taken not from the originals, but from comics - there are characters Odin, Thor, Loki, Valkyrie, etc. And the enemy organization is called Ragnarok. In the series, it is not clear what this organization is doing, except somewhere underground to train. The more absurd the ending of the series looks because of the great offense. It's kind of stupid... Also strained vulgar moments from some seemingly positive characters.
So fans of martial arts better not waste time on such series. They have the potential, but the authors spend all the potential on nonsense with stretching timekeeping. It is better to watch normal movies with real actors than to watch hand-drawn fights.
