Laughter through tears... The desire to see this picture arose immediately after reading her poster. An inner feeling told me that I would not regret the time spent watching, but, on the contrary, I would spend it usefully. And it didn't really let me down.
Coincidentally, shortly before that, I first watched the famous drama “...And in the soul I dance”, and then, a couple of weeks later, I saw the German tape “Run if you can!”. To be honest, the latter hit me a hundred times more. Despite some similarity in the plot of both films, the picture of brother and sister Brugemann, in my humble opinion, is largely superior to the other in its emotional background. Muffled colors, gloomy weather, the actors’ play, their dialogues, musical accompaniment – all this together embodied a full-fledged atmospheric movie on the screen. The action of the drama develops consistently and naturally, but at the same time it is not prolonged. You won't miss watching. This is the rare case when there is nothing to complain about, and do not want at all. Unknown to me until early actors coped with their roles unsurpassed. In an incomplete couple of hours, I managed to reveal three acting talents at once + to become interested in the personalities of those who worked behind the scenes.
I had a great aesthetic pleasure. I laughed from the heart, really empathized and even let down a tear somewhere. I watched the movie six months ago, but I’m still impressed. Only a small number of tapes could produce such an effect on me. I think for such a strong effect, the picture undoubtedly deserves the highest praise.
