Blood brothers... After all, the French can make a crime movie. I personally enjoyed watching this picture. And it’s not just about good actors, interesting plot or beautiful music. The main thing is that it has a soul, which is so lacking in many American films. The last scene with the mother and the final song were particularly impressive.
Speaking here as a director, screenwriter and producer, Alexander Arkadi dedicated this film to his four brothers. Maybe that is why relations in a large family are transferred with such warmth, where each of the brothers is vulnerable in his own way, but in the face of common trouble together they are strong as the five fingers of one hand assembled in a fist.
In the picture, the cast is perfectly selected. Françoise Fabian is very organic as the mother of a large Jewish family. Michelle Omon qualitatively played the old villain. And Patrick Bruel, from film to film, only gets better over the years. And of course, the decoration of the picture was the Italian Katerina Murino, after the role of the girl James Bond proved here that she is also a good actress.
By the way, the film is often compared to the American action movie Blood for Blood, but this is a completely different story.
