Review from kinoman.uz Interesting and modern, almost! realistic movie. Realism, by the way, does not reach the limits of disgust characteristic of some modern Western and Russian films. But the proximity of the plot to life situations, as well as the beautiful play of such actors as Boris Gafurov, Ilya Dudochkin, Alyona Lustina and Khurshid Tukhtaev, gradually capture and drag into a mosaic whirlpool of events of different people whose lives are intersected by random but tragic events.
Young guys, heroes of the new generation “here and now”, gradually and inexorably comprehend other, real laws of real life, in which people forget about simple human values, like the love of loved ones, the friendship of the faithful and the attention of people devoted to you. A life in which for many money becomes a goal, not a means, but the time and process of earning it is fascinating, taking away the memory of those who love and wait for you. A life in which people are also consumed, with a red price tag attached and a complete lack of a core of morality and dignity, which successfully replaces the ringing logo of famous brands.
The author persistently conveys the idea that it is impossible to be near and not be involved in what surrounds us. All the more blasphemous are people’s attempts to ignore someone else’s misfortune, hiding behind spirituality and pulling the mask of “just one sheep from a large flock of sheep.”
Particular attention is paid to the mix not only of youthful enthusiasm and naivety, but also maturity in the transmission of the worldview and attitude of the author of the film to events. You understand that this is how a young master is able to convey to us not reading the script by syllables, but reading with his intonation and accent, slang gestures and internal energy.
The camera work is also interesting, which seems to follow the first experiments of the director, alternating original finds with established rules and cliches of a well-made film. When you understand that this is in harmony with the spirit and style with which the director shot the picture, it does not cause irritation, but more raises the question of the unconditional potential of the author to stage and organize a harmonious shooting process.
Here I also pay tribute to the excellent casting of actors, which simply has no right not to deserve a good assessment.
Sound. Moments get the feeling that the film definitely won with a musical accompaniment. But still, in some particularly dramatic and action events, the musical series failed, mainly by pace, distracting from the increasing speed of events on the screen with its measured rhythm, slowing down the effect of including the viewer in the thick of what is happening.
Who should watch the movie? The film is not for the big screen, it is not full of special technical effects, but I will not recommend it for family viewing. Children under 16 and people with a deeply atrophied outlook on life are incompatible to watch together.
