2011. Cousins. European comedy made not without the influence of one famous New York intellectual in glasses. It all starts with Kim Gutierrez telling us about the cancellation of his wedding. The young and impressive “dumpster” will conduct very boring conversations clearly competing with Woody Allen in exaltation.
It will come down to direct and very nice cynical dialogues like this: You slept with her? - No, no, no. Yeah. I slept with her, but you have no right to be jealous. Well, the whole intrigue will be reduced to the fact that three cousin brothers will go to one of the ex-girlfriends of the hero. He needs someone to come to his senses.
So, the picture takes not the plot, but funny situations, worked out dialogues and impeccable cast. Gutierrez and Inma Cuesta would have been enough to pull this picture out. But the film starred such stars as Clara Lago and Antonio de la Torre. Added color in an additional role and Raul Arevalo.
You should not expect funny jokes or sophisticated melodrama from this film. At the same time, a good cast of actors and well-designed dialogue create a certain atmosphere that makes you remember Woody Allen and does not cloud the screen with his intellectual charisma. Well, for overly demanding aesthetes, banter over the Backstreet Boys with a very funny As Long As You Love Me. I liked it.
