Italy, another wonderful country with equally remarkable cinema. If you want romance, turn on this movie.
We see three stories about love as it is in youth, adulthood and older.
“Youth” is a story about a young ambitious lawyer Roberto, who is forced to move to another city for work. Here everything is wild for him, joyful people who joke a lot, a city without fuss, and general ease. Well, how not to succumb to all this, and under the general mood he suddenly falls in love with a woman, but at home his bride is waiting.
“Mature” TV presenter Fabio, husband and father, suddenly for himself starts a relationship with a young Eliana. This is the funniest part, it is good to pick up the main character, it is on him that the whole story rests.
Adrian is an American professor who decides to move to Rome. He meets his friend Augusto’s daughter and falls in love with her. Is it possible to fall in love with older people? Of course, as a boy, when no age restrictions are a hindrance. The decoration of this part was Robert De Niro and the beautiful Italian Monica Bellucci, very harmoniously looking together.
This is a very atmospheric movie, watching it is a pleasure. This is Italy warm air, beautiful streets, smiling people.
These stories about people, each of us can become the hero of one of the stories.
It is a very warm film that can be watched with pleasure.
I really liked the third novel with Robert de Niro and Monica Bellucci.
De Niro plays a professor of art history who lives in Rome. He is a simple, calm person who loves his job. He's had surgery, and now he's complicated because of the scar, so he's not having an affair. He meets his friend’s daughter and falls in love with her. She is the one who was able to liberate his complexes.
The novella is filled with funny moments. For example, when the police break into the apartment, thinking that Adrian has become ill with his heart, they find him in bed with Viola (a friend’s daughter). It's so colorful, purely Italian humor. .
The idea of the writers and the director, in principle, is respected, but the presentation, presentation and image leave much to be desired. I must say that the authors conceived this picture as a film divided into three parts.
When the second novel started, I thought it was a different movie and I just missed the beginning. Turns out not. And I think that this is not a very interesting move of the filmmakers; just at the most interesting moment the thread breaks, the logical chain collapses. In short, the meaning of what we observe is lost. No, the meaning of the picture we catch already in the third part, which completes the final happy chord of a series of three short stories.
If we analyze each story separately, then according to the plan of the authors, we must see love, and even instruct. I didn't see the first or the second. What kind of love can we talk about when there is an explicit message of consumption and profit in all three parts. Rather, it is a matter of libido satisfaction, of pleasure that can simply be caught and there will be nothing for it. Where's the sacrifice? Where are the complex feelings?
Oh, yeah. I think an exception to the rule may be the third novel, where exhausted from a failed personal life, extremely thoroughbred and very beautiful Viola, meets a noble, already elderly, but damn attractive Professor Adrian, and the age line between them is erased. This may be the case when feelings really flared up unexpectedly, vividly and truly.
The second novel is rich in humorous scenes, ironic sketches and comic funny intrigues. Here we see the crazy middle-aged, suffering from the syndrome of bipolar personality and pre-retirement age fabulous Fabio Renzollo, working as an announcer on television. But even such a funny duo did not light a smile on my face.
The first novel went unnoticed and completely unremarkable for me.
Boring, uninteresting, and the ending is obscenely predictable. The only thing that was pleasant to encounter when viewing was with the stars adorning this not so outstanding picture: Monica Bellucci, Michele Placido, and the incomparable Robert De Niro.
Love does not tolerate simplicity, monotony, falsehood, self-interest, submission, violence, that is, everything that prevents you from being real in your feelings. This emotion, this experience, this feeling is beautiful in itself. This concept is absolute, without conventions. The title of the film does not fully justify itself. I doubt it.
A prankster and a big ballerina in general, this Giovanni Veronesi. What kind of movie is it called the mountain? And I'd love to complain, but there's nothing. All three novels, like the most delicious homemade cakes are lush and seductively build eyes, so that our receptors feel all the skill of a cook! An exquisite Italian dish, and I was in Italy and I know what I'm talking about, gave us this Giovanni! Get ready to taste this movie delicacy, after which you will feel the unbearable lightness of being, as one writer said.
Action one. How often do we lose our heads when we are young? Vyacheslav Malezhik.
Roberto has Sarah and Sarah Roberto has Sarah. They love each other and, as they say, God helps them. And something happened that happens very often. The young lawyer Roberto was thrown into one of the provinces of Italy. What is he supposed to do? This is not the case now, although the reasoning behind his trip is the sanctity of his thoughts and goals. No one would have thought what would happen to Roberto in this Italian village. It is better not to joke with hormones, which Roberto definitely did not know and flared with a serious passion for one blond beast. Laura Chiatti, who played the role of the fatal beauty, is incredibly sexy and sensual, and besides, she is very good at driving a car. Their races will be envied by drivers of the Formula 1 class.
Action two. "The baldness in the head, the one in the rib."
Fabio (Carlo Verdone) is married and has an adult daughter. He's also a TV host. He's doing great. But what will happen to Signor Fabio if he does not intentionally, but by the will of an evil fate for him, meets Eliana, a burning brunette and part-time nymphomaniac. This is the most telling story in my opinion. I laughed like crazy, honestly! Such alterations and bark wet these two characters, so burn, more than any sauna. Seven sweats of laughter will come down when you watch this novel. Bravo Carlo Verdone and Bravo Donatella Finocjaro!
Action three. “The way to a man’s heart is not through his stomach, but through a scar.”
We all need to be alone sometimes. Adrian (Robert De Niro), an American professor, has every right to do so, as we see. He came to the Italian capital from America and intends to spend time alone, not counting the friend of the doorman Augusto. But that wasn't it. Wherever there was ball lightning in the form of the heroine Monica Bellucci. And the Italian-American carousel was no worse than in Disneyland. Robert is good, as always, that before Monica, then she beckons the dope, calls to go with her. The lady is spectacular and stylish. Fashionista. But now she's just a woman wanted by the bad guys, in need of comfort. Adrian's shoulder will not only be strong and reliable, but also hot, like hot asphalt. What are you doing, dear Adrian, because you have a heart?
I'm sorry if I bore you with my chatter, but the film is appealing in every way. The music is great. All tone and colour! You won't regret it. Highest score, for an amazing mood!
Love and instruction are incompatible or not a funny comedy.
While watching this movie, I thought, ‘Well, that’s it, I’m going to bite!’ A terrible squalor with a claim to discover something new on such a complex and important topic for everyone as love. Ugh!
Having barely watched the film to the end (and this is a full two hours of life!) I will say that a single assessment is difficult to put. In the list of actors, the first two names are such stars that it is difficult not to peck at them. And the viewer pecks. But, as well written in one critical review, the cunning director drove Bellucci (and De Niro, by the way!) into the third novel, and the viewer has to endure the previous ones.
The first two, no, I'm just getting sick! What kind of love?? Interest, attraction, lust, lust, what else is there? But what about love? The "busy" guy (in love, going to get married) is led to the first woman on the other side, leading the carcass and eyes back and forth? Oh, yeah, she's wearing heels and almost no skirt. Much attention is paid to his work, the revelations of drunken men are boring. And the appeals “my love” and “beloved”, when there are so many, only annoy.
The second is a middle-aged man, married. It’s easy to get that by promising ice cream. I can see, of course, that there is a genre of comedy, many scenes are clearly fun, but I am not funny! And kissing on the toilet - do you have to laugh? The text of Cupid finally kills everything, it is good that at least it does not aim its modern bow in the eye of the viewer!
The third novel at least somehow shows what is promised to the viewer. You can see it by rewinding the first two. There is a fall in love, De Niro kisses Monica Bellucci! Fans of both, come on, watch! : It is difficult to say how convincing it is, but at least it is clear why they are here. But if you try to understand all the novels as a single narrative, it turns out that a man can live in his youth according to the joke “they say that in his youth you were a member of the court ...” and in old age get these quiet joys. Really? This conclusion further spoils the impression.
The first is “bad,” the second is “below average,” the third is “nearly good.” In general, it seems that:
The third series of novels about love Giovanni Veronese attracted very famous artists, but about everything in order.
It all starts with the Tuscan sun. An ambitious young lawyer will face a woman who will make him think about the future. Ahead of the hero is a wedding, a loving wife and a stable career, but here in Tuscany he is very distracted. It's such an unpretentious romance.
Then everything turns to the topic of maturity. Can there be prospects for two adults who met through awkwardness at a party? He's a famous TV presenter, and she's a psychiatrist. These two will be clear - the woman will immediately go on the assault. Here everything will resemble the classic Italian comedy of the 70s - a liberated lady and a complexed honorable signor.
The third story takes us to Rome and begins as a comedy, thanks in large part to the small role of Michele Placido. But suddenly we will witness a serious feeling between the elderly hero Robert de Niro and his suited daughter Monica Bellucci. Actually, this is the most tasty dish of the film, because with any attitude to these actors, it is difficult to dispute their talent. I would not seriously discuss the importance of these roles (were in their filmography and stronger work), but for a film lover, dessert was a success.
Simple plots, unpretentious stories, good actors - a picture that certainly should have its viewer, although if you gave specifics and vulgar humor in the second and third novels.
5 out of 10
The Russian viewer will probably be attracted by a brilliant trio: Robert de Niro, Monica Bellucci, Michele Placido. All three we see in the last of three novels: "Youth", "Maturity" and "After".
"Youth" is a story as light as champagne bubbles. Lawyer Roberto on the eve of the wedding goes on a business trip to the province and gets from the metropolis to the world of eternal vacation. Yes, the guy did not resist in the atmosphere of the local “mad tea party”, he crowed a little, but nothing irreparable happened – he became, after going through the mistakes and madness of youth, only sweeter and more hearty, and more like a person.
"Maturity" is the blackest of all stories. The smug and narcissistic TV presenter Fabio and the seductive psychiatric patient are a rattling mixture. A series of absurd and embarrassing situations in which the hero gets, eventually leads him to a broken trough. And whatever you want, maybe the authors have personal reasons to hate people like Fabio, but when you see him in that bad place where he's taken himself, you feel for yourself.
The last story in sincerity and sincerity is not inferior to the first. Robert de Niro, Monica Bellucci, and Michele Placido would have been looked at, even if they were just in the picture and doing nothing. And they're really doing it!
The film is designed for adults, and the problems of the characters, frankly, not children. Adrian has Vietnam behind him, a heart transplant and divorce, the beautiful Viola has a job as a stripper, dubious acquaintances, an unsuccessful attempt to start a restaurant business and debts. But it is the last miniature that ends with what love is given to people.
The characters of the film are the Eternal City, Italy and the Italian character. And most importantly, the authors told about their heroes and love with love.
Age of love Bright and energetic film, once again showing that love all ages are submissive. Let the viewer not be confused by the number “3” in the original title of the picture, this is really the third part of the franchise, known here as “Love Textbook”, but completely unrelated to the previous parts, even Monica Belluche, which was available in the second film, plays a completely different character here. So “Love: Instructions for use” looks independent and very relevant picture, and at the same time attracts its bright casting. Three novels sincerely trying to find the age of love, to know the boundaries of maturity, old age and youth, omitting only youth and the first spring impulses, focusing on more serious problems than the first love and teenage complexes. And each of the three comes to a pleasant understanding that love does not have any age, it is always eternal and strong, always relevant and can knock on the door completely unexpectedly and suddenly. The first of the stories turned out to be the easiest and most romantic, it is the most beautiful, the most passionate and the most erotic. Youth and passion in the revealed theme of betrayal and fleeting passion. The main character is sent to a small town, leaving his beloved, with whom he is about to marry. In the town, everyone touched on his head, with his buffoons and quirks, very funny, and most importantly - kind people. The hero does not want to leave, besides he meets a very ambitious beauty, bored in a huge mansion and driving around in expensive cars. For her, this is a playful hobby, for him the opportunity to break away from reality and spin an affair on the side, checking the strength of the relationship. A very sunny story, with very funny and humorous situations (especially amazing episodes with a crocodile!), which in principle surpasses even the next two. The best of the three! The second is a romantic black comedy. She is very funny in all the abundance of the absurd happening, but very angry with the main character. The famous TV presenter, no longer young, forced to hide a bald hair under a wig, becomes the object of hunting and lust for one abnormal, posing as a psychiatrist. The story turned out to be the most humorous of the three, it will be great fun and at the same time will raise the problem of betrayal from a completely different side, instead of an easy test of strength, everything turns into a devastating tragedy. The main thing is always to keep yourself in control, to appreciate yourself and your family. A bad example in its absurd climax, clearly unfolded on the screen, should bring existing families closer together, strengthening understanding and relationships. The most long-awaited will be the third novel, because it was Robert De Niro and Monica Bellucci. The old professor willy-nilly begins an affair with the daughter of one of his friends, himself unwittingly, but the further their relationship goes, the more and more he realizes that this is not just a flared passion, a surge of sentimentality or a need for support, but real and strong love, for which he is really ready for anything! A very beautiful and strong story, brilliantly played out by the star cast, on sweet notes will complete the three collected novels, leaving entirely pleasant impressions. The result is not even enough of these three stories, you want something else. It is impossible to call each of them perfect and fully developed, but any of the three turned out to be really beautiful and interesting, with their own unique features that really catch the attention, attracting more and more. Regardless of the close ties between each other, all three novels get along perfectly in the film, put together in the right order. So the picture will be a very pleasant romantic entertainment, helping its sentimentality to pass the evening in the company of a loved one. 7 out of 10 Original
