I watched this film for the first time in the cinema. I remember going with the men to the premiere at Promenade. When the credits went, accompanied by a soundtrack that I really liked, there was a positive view from everyone I didn’t pay attention to, and that emotional flow was sweeping through the already light-lit hall, some even clapping with such joyful facial expressions as if they had just rolled on a roller coaster. We went out and with a cheerful mood discussing the watched tape.
- You want to assure me that money is not a determinant of happiness?
- Of course, money decides everything, at least in this country.
- Are there countries where things are different?
- That's the point. The most important thing is to breathe with the city in the same rhythm, you know?
The girl who ran out of cocktail, decided to solve his problem, positively answering the question.
It would seem that the dialogue with simple answers to the questions posed, in one of the moments of the film, in my opinion, revealed the main idea that the director of the film wanted to convey.
The main character of which the story is about, he is a pink hare, he is a student, whose name is Erlan, bears the image of a young guy who, in my opinion, was seen and seen by most residents of the country, in particular the city of Almaty. Since the “southern-former” capital is not only a financial and economic center, but also a scientific, educational, cultural, historical center of Kazakhstan, many residents of the country would like to get higher education in Almaty. Moreover, the population of the city is growing rapidly every year, not only because students from different cities study at universities, but also to a greater extent because of people coming to work, since trade and construction in the city is completely gone, despite the “terrible” crises.
We were shown Almaty, I would like to say in all its glory, but it would be better to “really”. You sit, you look at everything from the outside, and you realize that everything is exactly as it is shown in the movies. Surely you have seen how the golden youth are entertained, how many in the city are blatant, how the uncles of their acquaintances are excused for the “jobs”, the agash of their sons, how someone eats bread with black tea for lunch, and someone baked in sauce a rabbit with wine, someone a hundred thousand greens just a sum, and for someone the imagination, saw how they humiliate others below the stratum of the population, allegedly they have the right to do this and much, much will have to enumerate. That’s what happened here, and it’s neither good nor bad. This is our time. Whoever has power with money can do whatever he wants. Yes, we can say that they themselves are to blame that they eat only bread, and work for the public, and are themselves to blame for being in this layer. But this is a different question, that’s where the hero’s thought comes in, where he talks about breathing with the city.
As the hero in the above dialogue would have otherwise answered the question: “No, money is not the determining factor of happiness.” Happiness is not about money. And then the proponents of this idea would appear, saying, "Yes, exactly, happiness is not in money." And in their number.” Of course, despite all that the hero saw, this stratification of society, this injustice, cruelty, etc., he answers that he agrees, but immediately he noted the phrase “At least in our country”. The main thing is to breathe with the city in the same rhythm. That rhythm is our time. Living in the city, you find yourself in such a web of the city, to escape from which, you can very hard. A web where you have to adapt to life every second. Yes, it was always and everywhere, and then you need to get better, "our time in this city." For you can go, for example, to Africa, to the most remote lands from civilization, where there is no education, working days, weeks, weekends, mortgages, loans, utility bills, traffic jams, bosses, where there will be another web, namely, how to feed your own and protect from enemies. But as long as you're here, that's the rhythm.
Well, as Sukhorukov's hero said in the film Brother - "To Moscow you need to go!" In Moscow, all the power!, and we in Kazakhstan will say: “We need to go to Almaty!” All the power in Almaty!
Enjoy your visit.
