You could expect a horror movie, a psychological thriller, a social drama, anything but comedy. But the direction of comedies of black humor has long shown us its ability to surprise and cause sincere laughs at things that are evil in ordinary life - because if evil is funny, why not laugh? Since the last decades of the XX century, Americans have shown their ability to stage comedies of the absurd, in which laughter is caused by elements of crime, violence and other evil, our directors began to show similar talents later: in 2005, “Zhmurki” came out, which are popular precisely as a black comedy, although in fact they were simply less gloomy and more cheerful criminal thriller on the theme of the 90s than previously released serious Russian crime films about those times. After Suicide, two black New Year comedies were filmed in Russia: The Land of Oz and the much lesser-known Year of the Pig, which were aimed at ridiculing the human vices of the Russian people. “Suicide” is a slightly different character and a different presentation: it is more than a hilarious comedy about young losers who were disappointed in life, but could not part with it because of their inability to harm themselves, and when these three come together, they decide that they need to leave life so that the last word (well, more precisely, the last wish) was theirs. But, since they have been losers all their lives, fulfilling the desire will also be a problem for them. Heroes begin to seek death together, supporting each other in this aspiration, not yet suspecting what awaits them along the way.
Despite the fact that the budget figure did not allow this film to show a huge number of extreme scenes and graphics, there will be a lot to see here, but the main thing will be something to listen to. The dialogues of the heroes, calmly dispensing with profanity, can make you laugh from the heart, as well as the situations themselves, in which our grief-heroes are stuck, what happens will be served with a truly Russian soul (as well as without it) - no, there will not be a demonstration of such a Russian soul as Zhora Kryzhovnikov sees it, but much smarter and thinner, without drunk liters of vodka and arranged brawls and chaos, but with the sharp language of each character. In the main roles, we see the star of pop and cinema Alexei Vorobyov and one of the most pretty actresses of Russia Oksana Akinshina - together with another young man, their characters unite in order to take their own lives, which is actually not so easy if there is no reliable way at hand - a gun, because, using other methods, you can either stay alive in the state of an immobilized disabled person, which will become even worse than life before a suicide attempt, or get into a mental hospital. It is there that two chronic losers meet, one of whom for the first time wanted to leave this mortal world, and the other for the seventeenth time, and all in vain. The images and dialogues of these two immediately attract the viewer to themselves, setting them up for fun, and the first scene in which you can laugh will be a joint attempt by newly-minted friends to jump off the roof immediately after they leave the hospital. Despite the fact that in the frame the characters are trying to commit suicide, the humor in the film looks and sounds very kind and positive, the smile does not come off the face throughout the film, periodically turning into a cheerful laugh when the characters let go of various sharpnesses. When Oksana Akinshina appears in the frame out of nowhere with her radiant smile and asks these two, who are busy with another attempt, what they are doing (feel? a parody of the stage from Fincher's Fight Club), and joins this team, then it becomes clear that it will be fun, and that this comedy can only be considered black conditionally (well, except for really black moments such as the icicle piercing of the head of the same Gene from "Univer" - Andrei Sviridov). And, as you could guess from the very beginning, a comedy with this name, and, especially, with such a cast of favorites of the public, will promote not a negative, but a positive. A wonderful film, from which the desire to live, not die flows.

Tolik (Eugene Stychkin) and Alexei (Alexei Vorobyov) are two suicide losers, decide to join efforts and implement them in life, or rather in death, together. But it wasn't. If you're a loser, who's to say an old woman with a scythe is happy to welcome you into her ranks? What about unplanned? At that time and the vehicle you chose? Nope. The old woman is against and instead of meeting her, our heroes get acquainted with the young beauty Marina (Oxana Akinshina).
Now there are three heroes, and since there are three, you need to drink, especially since Marina, too, wants to move to another world here and now - by her own will and decision. Oddly enough, and perhaps self-evidently, the first general attempt to anything does not hold, but friends are born at all not original idea - before death to fulfill the cherished desire of everyone.
The Trinity grows into a small club (sorry, but Prince Florisel needs to be mentioned) and begins a general march to death, along a road paved with wish fulfillment.
This is the plot of the film, and its further retelling, in my opinion, will be too spoiler.
The film, beautifully and humorously, reveals the theme of power, which interests itself, not the people. Mikhail Politsiemako, masterfully played a short episodic role of a negative official. The writer endowed him with a couple of, in my opinion, brilliant phrases - like '. Me, man. So no one & #39; The role of Policiemako is a perfect example of the minimum time on the screen with the most classy acting.
Along with Polikiyemako, in “Suicide” beautiful episodic roles in Marat Basharov and Goshi Kutsenko. Basharov showed that the actor can say a lot, without words. And Kutsenkovsky villain is just bright and deliciously played.
The soundtrack of suicides deserves special attention. The overall mood of the soundtrack, in my opinion, gives My Sister's Band - with a light modern version of rock'n'roll bordering on indie pop.' Pilar' with the song Ocean beautifully accompanies the romantic moment of the film. Finnish folk band Vürttin? very organically fits into the script with the folk melody of the northern neighbors of Russia - it is in the shots taking place in the Finnish village. Separately pleased '25 to 10' BG is a song written in the late seventies, still relevant to those who today are 25-30.
In the course of the film, it seems that it resembles the work of different directors - here and the style of Tarantino and the scene a la Kusturica and something from Ryazanov. Of course, you can throw the director tomatoes on the theme “Where is your professional face”, or you can give a head start considering that Suicides is the directorial debut of Baranov. I think that for the debut, finding yourself as a master is more than acceptable.
Suicides are declared a comedy. And my great success of the team of its creators is that they touched on such a difficult topic easily, without moving from comedy to drama and without leaving the viewer with a bitter aftertaste. Suicides are certainly not a can of cold shandy on a sunny day, but far from cognac 25 years of aging - and good that it is. Suicide is a nice and easy white Muscato - you drink and just have fun. You don’t get too drunk, but it’s still nice.
So I advise you to pour Muscato or a drink in a similar weight category and relax after a working day or a week with our heroes at the screen.
And the score - well, where without numbers in the digital age - 8+.
Movie ' Suicide ' I loved it. A typical good New Year comedy, but about a black woman, reaching to the absurd. All ' Suicide' heroes look ' so bad that it's ridiculous' And they involuntarily become part of the power ', that eternally wants evil and eternally does good': a red thread through the plot is the idea that before you die, you need to do some meaningful work, preferably good. He who is not afraid of death is allowed everything, even a little magic. The adventures of the heroes with their luxurious audacity and cynicism resemble the clips of Sergei Shnurov.
The main mockery in the film is over social stereotypes. Of course, the mind knows that a suicide can not be a philanthropist and make his death with wild fanfare, and the servants of the state and the guards of order can not so carelessly carry out their work. But this is the humor: the characters themselves do not know what they really wanted, and through the experience of intimacy with death, they reach their true calling. In fact, they are killing their false 'I' which deprived them of happiness in life.
The most ridiculous moments? ' Iconostasis' sports awards in an abandoned building. And the van ' Flower delivery' behind which the packed ' corpse'.
In the end, of course, there will be ' sudden mortality'. I can’t tell you, but there’s a kind of logic to it (well, there can be logic to black comedy, too). There was a place and ' tolerance' ridiculed as many as three times... no, four.
I liked the hero Kutsenko: he looks like the images of bandits and marginals. ' Club Leader ' Stychkin is a very experienced artist, which is beaten at the very beginning as '17 suicide attempts'. Vorobyov was unknown to me until now (I was surprised when I found out that he was actually a famous singer - aha, and this happens), and his role was clearly invented for ' fanservice' (he was most naked in the frame). The heroine Akinshina has a well-discovered background and personal talent. Ville Haapasalo played exactly what you want to imagine when you look at him - a Finnish lumberjack, simple, strong and kind.
Conclusion: a good movie to watch with friends, preferably knowing a lot about black humor.

I am such an omnivorous movie lover that I give positive ratings to such “masterpieces” as “The Best Film” and “Friends of Friends”, only for the fact that they, honestly, do not leave behind any negative: they laughed at flat jokes and forgot. I will never understand why our audience watches bad American comedies instead of Russian bad ones, but that is not the point. “Suicide” is also far from the best product of domestic cinematography, leaving behind a feeling of hopelessness and irritation. For me, this picture does not seem life-affirming, well, never once. A few minutes at the end? Oh, come on, are you serious? After “Suicide” I wanted to go and hang myself, because, according to the creators, in our country corrupt policemen, do not react to lawlessness, if the criminals are their “friends”, in our country stupid and corrupt administrative power, banditry. No, well, in the nineties, they've done enough, where else? It's not funny, it's dull and miserable. In addition, in one moment there is a slight hint of tolerance, which looks rather silly, I think.
Suicide is, as I understand it, a comedy and a social one. The whole point of the picture is that if you are bored and do not live well, then commit suicide, but before that fulfill your last wish, and your desire should not be legal at all: you can beat and tie up the workers of the aquarium, rob a bank, steal a car, break into a shopping center with weapons and rob shops. You can play Dexter Morgan, you can go kill bad people. There is no need to worry about criminal punishment, just get drunk and gain confidence in the police, because they will cover you. And what positive emotions can remain after such a movie? The most important thing is that the idea was good, but why did the creators have to go into an outright black woman? Also, disgusting locations, if I may say so. The whole film was shot in some dirty yards, in a barn, in a terrible “grandmother’s” apartment.
In the film, the three main characters are Tolik, Alexei and Marina. They agreed to commit suicide together, but something is always stopping them. The fact that the hero is hesitant to kill himself because he has a headache didn’t seem too original either. Despite the good idea, the script and plot are sucked out of the finger: all the troubles that new friends get into are so absurd that you wonder. Here I will not be lazy and insert a favorite quote from the neighbor’s opnik Fedor: “My grandmother can do better!” It seems that all the dialogues are improvised, you do not need any writers to write them: they are so template and predictable that you literally end the phrase for a hero. But still, the picture has a couple of pluses - this is the acting of Evgeny Stychkin and musical accompaniment.
I want a separate item to walk through the acting game, the main roles in the film were performed by Evgeny Stychkin, Alexei Vorobyov and Oksana Akinshina. Stychkin often turns in the background, but he is a very worthy actor, an excellent understudy. He succeeds in comedic images, this role is no exception - the only bright spot in the whole picture. Still, as far as I know, Alexei Vorobyov is a famous outrageous songwriter, so I do not even consider him an actor, but how much pathos there is in him, like cream in eclair, climbs out of his ears and falls to the floor. Oksana Akinshina is a beautiful actress, but very often she does not fit into the role at all, as in this case. But I had enough of her pretty face.
In general, for poor humor, a bucket of negativity and inexpressive play, I will give the film 4 points. And there were the makings of hard black humor, many people, except me, lovers of this. It would be better to make a black comedy with a rating of + 18, honestly.
Propaganda of suicide in Russia is strictly prohibited. That is why the comedy “Suicide” initially aroused my interest: the topic is very difficult and therefore it is very difficult to open it without sliding into petty vulgarity or evading the propaganda of suicide. And I must say that in my opinion, the authors of the picture succeeded!
“What do suicides want before they die? In short, there are three things: revenge, love and rock 'n' roll.
"Are we the power here or who?" We can kill them and they can’t kill themselves.
The plot line is simple and predictable: a small group of young and not very citizens has a huge desire (for various reasons) to end their lives, fulfilling one last cherished wish. Well, since everyone’s desires are different and sometimes quite unusual, all this turns into a bright and colorful comedy. And with attempts to commit suicide, they are not lucky. Well, or lucky - it is from which side to look.
“The fishermen saved me. I mean, how did you save... I tore them up. They were saved first and then almost killed.
“It is more profitable to die in parts!”
The long-standing Russian tradition of inserting as many “stars” as possible in one film did not bypass Suicide. “Vysotsky’s girlfriend” Oksana Akinshina, “Russian Finn” Ville Haapasalo, “production” (76 film roles!) Evgeny Stychkin, Eurovision contestant Alexei Vorobyov ... And also - Mikhail Politseymako, Gosha Kutsenko, Alexander Strizhenov, Tatiana Shvydkova and - Oleg Labozin.
- Your apartment?
- Mine.
- Is it a mortgage?
- No.
- Why are you hanging yourself?
Of course, many good films have already been made on this (or similar) theme, from Fight Club to Get to Heaven. It is clear that to remove something better is almost unrealistic. But is this a hindrance in order to show once again: it is not necessary to wait for the end of life in order to fulfill your cherished desire or decide on something serious. One of the characters in the film says, “The way to death is life.” And it is no coincidence that in one of the scenes in the frame a poster with Che Guevara, which reads “It is better to die standing up than to live on your knees.” So don’t wait until you have nothing to lose, live now!
"On the count of three...."
A funny movie about funny guys. This is one of the few decent pictures that have appeared on screens recently. It's not an old-fashioned idea. The creators of the picture in such an ironic, even sarcastic form showed the current life and ridiculed their own idea. On the one hand, we see two young people – rudely speaking, suffering from bullshit, trying to commit suicide, not understanding why. But if you look a little bit, it becomes clear that the whole movie is ironic. Just so crudely and primitively shown all aspects of life: the power that does not consider people for people and all this is shown by two phrases: "Here, who are you?" - I'm human. “Nobody,” and “Shoot, I say!” They'll kill themselves! Are we in power or who? They cannot kill themselves, we can kill them, and they cannot kill themselves. Or as shown by the same police (at that time still the police), beats a person for stealing a car, while covering the hijackers. Listen, how has the world changed? - He hasn't changed. The world is full of shit and injustice. It just belongs to us today and we can do whatever we want. And it's all seasoned with good humor. I laughed heartily when Leha and Tolik jumped off the bridge and from the roof, when they ran away from the police in the parking lot, when they were gassed and when they attacked the cops. "When you have nothing to lose, you are not afraid of anything, it is a pleasant feeling, like after a bath." "We have no tomorrow, so we do not care for today." Despite the fact that the guys get into very cool situations, they remain human. “It is better to help a person who is trying to deceive us than to refuse help to someone who really needs it.” Different personalities are very accurately shown, and it would seem, as a general idea, the problems united completely different, unfamiliar people - a young guy, a former athlete, a homosexual, a family man, an elderly woman doctor, a soldier, a lumberjack and a minor prostitute. What do suicides want before they die? In short, it's three things: revenge, love and rock 'n' roll. At first glance, the situation is absurd - collective suicide, but it is the desire for death, danger and last desires that add to the flavor of life. It is after such adventures that friends realize that there is nothing better than life and begin to appreciate it. It was after the “suicide” that everything improved and they began to live better, found good friends. “We’re all going to die, but not today!”
A wonderful play of actors, I am already once again convinced that Alexei Vorobyov is a very talented person, it is only a pity that his song "For Your Love" was not taken as a soundtrack in the film, but left as a promo song. Evgeny Stychkin liked it in this film, before not much loved him. I hate Marat Basharov, but I liked his role in this film. Again, Gosha Kutsenko and his crown phrase: "A good man is a shitty look, a good look is a shit person ...", in this role he is organic and it suits him.
The picture is non-standard in everything from the plot to the shooting. The scene with the freezing of the hero Alexei Vorobyov was very surprising, but did not disappoint, because it was interestingly presented. The actors performed all the tricks themselves – jumped from a real bridge and from a real roof. In this Alexei Vorobyov and Evgeny Stychkin are just good. The actors were initially filmed for free, for a future fee, that is, the money they were paid only after the rental of the picture, but no one refused the role because, everyone believed in the film, in themselves, in their game, no one was afraid of failure. Egor Baranov shot a really life-affirming comedy, it remains only to applaud everyone who participated in it!
Who would have thought that the road to death could be so high! And the way to death is life.
10 out of 10
The film was a pleasant surprise. Good, uncomplicated, light comedy. Nothing from it without expecting you can enjoy watching, as filmed quite qualitatively, cheerfully, with taste.
I do not like when people scold Russian cinema and say that the entire Russian nation does not know how to make films, and then suddenly before the release of the right film it turns out that a miracle happened, the Russians made a movie, a real movie, and you need to go to the cinema, spend money. Year after year. I don’t know why suicides have such low scores. Perhaps some high expectations of the level of humor or philosophical component of the topic of suicide. I didn't expect anything like that from the movie. As a result, I liked him. I would like to note the acting work of Vorobyov, Stychkin and Akinshina. All of them were pleased with their performance. There are funny jokes and comic situations in the film. It’s not another bachelor party in Vegas, but you can always smile. Moreover, suicides are not prolonged, do not cause feelings of boredom, and generally made with taste.
Suicide is probably a one-time movie. But this does not mean that it is bad, boring, not funny and that it can not be seen at least once.
The comedy of black humor with our cinema is not very friendly, as well as a horror film similar to it in the genre. And all this despite the fact that in Russia even the classics laughed at death. Gogol wrote many mystical and at the same time funny works, which were attended by witches, devils. And Chekhov simply admired the description of the final story of Pavel Vasilyevich, who was tired of the “graphomaniac” Murashkina. But, nevertheless, black comedy in modern Russia can be found very rarely and it is difficult to somehow fit into our modern life, which itself is very realistically tragic and absurd.
Director Egor Baranov’s “Suicide” can’t seem to claim anything more than “Shacked”. But while Karimov’s work was conducted only on the basis of his taste, Alexander Strizhenov primarily wants to find contact with the audience, and therefore the director with whom he worked created a comedy that can be understood by everyone and it is really funny.
Naturally, the story of 3 suicides who decided to support each other in the decision to commit suicide, at first can be perceived with disbelief. But after the viewer sees how the lights go out in the house after another failure of one of the characters to commit suicide, it immediately becomes clear that this is a very funny film. While watching the movie “Suicide” it is simply impossible to resist laughing, so there is nothing to be afraid of.
The humor of the picture is amazingly pleasant and does not repel at all. And yet, while watching the movie "Suicide" ... you feel kind of awkward. This feeling comes from the concept of docking the plot with acting. After all, this is not a comedy genre, and we laugh at how ridiculous the characters look, who for 1.5 hours. They can’t find a way out of this world. Hence arose the idea of the last wish, and the subsequent organization of the club, and the endless misadventures of these suicides.
Many associations and quotes in this film may arise in connection with David Fincher. Actors often arrange showdowns “in Mexican”, and the heroine Akinshina looks like a Tarantinov bride. Gosha Kutsenko dressed in a fur coat and holding a pistol in his hand successfully fits into the image of pimps from Western militants of the seventies. You can see that the creators had a chance to watch many films, and they managed to respect many of their favorites. In addition, the plot about people who are on the verge of death and ready to throw themselves into all serious, is also very often found in cinema. For example, the Canadian film “Repeaters”.
If we talk about the cast, there are no comments. Perfectly coped with his role Evgeny Stychkin, to whom the genre of comedy is very close. Alexei Vorobyov also played well. Oksana Akinshina has always played well, although this is not quite her genre. Of the rest, the image of Gosha Kutsenko, Viktor Suprun, Mikhail Politseimako, Marat Basharov, Konstantin Murzenko, Danil Lavrenov and Pavel Priluchny was remembered.
In addition, the soundtrack is perfectly selected, the work of the operators is performed at the level, as well as the jump from a 9-storey house, and all this looks great in this funny, bright and very positive comedy about how important it is to be able to appreciate your life. There is no bad influence on the younger generation. The movie “Suicide” can be used as a laugh therapy.
Such a film is controversial. The ratings of “friends of interest” are full of all possible colors: a third of them are green, a third gray, a third red. I also don’t know what impression this movie made on me. He is interesting in something, but in something he is attracted by the ears.
They tried to make it, like everything in Russian cinema, similar to European or American. It all begins with a party and non-stop sex of the head handsome, and continues grandmother, who has a shotgun at hand. A simple Russian grandmother has a shotgun in her chair. It smelled like American comedy. Or in the next shot, a bunch of girls and a stripper. And besides, guns, machine guns, shopping centers, gang and flying in a big balloon.
But the plot itself is weak. It seems to me that when a person wants to leave life, he does not have the last desire. His only wish is to leave his life. If he's a real suicide, not a poser. And if there is a last wish that you want to fulfill, then what kind of suicide are you? With suicidal tendencies, there are no desires, no joy, no bright thoughts, there is nothing, there is a huge psychological chasm from which nothing can be seen. But that's not how the movie works. In the film, a bunch of posers gathered and just took it as a Charter clause - let's live without feeling tomorrow. In general, some contradiction is uncomfortable. And it would be nice if we were deliberately shown suicides who do not want to die, that is, deliberately showed posers. But no, we're being shown as if something's accidentally bothering them. I mean, they're really trying, but something's getting in the way. Such “Schrödinger suicides” – they are both suicides and not suicides. In general, they are fooling our brother.
What’s good about the movie is good ideas and jokes. For example, the scene with dolphins, which in tension should resemble some "Jaws" - funny. Well, there are a lot of funny dialogues in the film, too. Some of them sound fresh, some are based on old anecdotes (" I'm worried, nothing would happen to him).
I also thought the director wanted to be like Guy Ritchie. First, Alexei Vorobyov in his role resembled the characters of Statham from two Ritchie films - tall, frowny, often with a facial expression like "what nonsense are you talking about?"; and secondly, remember the accelerated shots when Vorobyov opens a beer. It’s just like the big one.
In general, you can look once if you do not go into the psychological characteristics of a person who wants to commit suicide. Here the heroes of such a person in no way personify. I also want to thank the writers for not laying a love line between the characters Akinshina and Vorobyov. That would be super trivial.
One of the most famous branches of comic (namely, humor) is black humor. It is based on some terrible, catastrophic incident, which, despite all the tragedy and fear of what is happening, causes a smile, laughter. But to amuse a person with black humor, you must first be able to make comedies with black humor.
The creators of "Suicide" did it. I'm not denying that. Comedy is not just a laugh, but a movie. But the movie didn't work.
The thing I didn’t like the most about this movie was the poor intelligence of the characters. They chose the wrong actors for them. The heroes themselves aren't the right ones either. The main question of the film: why did an “organized” man, a young man, a guy in love with the wrong guy, a pensioner and some other heroes decide to end their lives? And if everything is clear with Marina (played Oxana Akinshina) and Finn (Ville Haapasalo), then nothing is clear with other heroes at all. An ill-conceived plot, ill-conceived heroes. A cruel minus.
There are also 2 things that are good. The first is that the film is developing interestingly. Although they were poorly written, but well displayed. The second is the ridiculous failure of the heroes to commit suicide. And again, even though they look funny, some of them look unrealistic. Of course, this is black humor, but even it has its limits.
The film is not very good. From a comedy that speaks out against suicide, I expected something more. Other heroes, different actors. In the end, I give this film a rating:
The comedy film directed by Egor Baranov “Suicide” in 2011 was a big, pleasant surprise for me. We are all very skeptical about Russian cinema, and if we are faced with a choice where we need to decide whether we will go to some American bullshit or a new Russian cinema, then of course the viewer will fall for American nonsense, because he is sure that it will be interesting. Russian cinema has proved itself so long ago, and frankly, I do not even know if there will ever come a time when Russian cinema will respect not only the world, but at least the Russian people themselves. The film is presented as a comedy, but there were few comedic moments here, so I personally attributed this movie to such a light, absolutely not complex drama.
When you have nothing to lose, you are not afraid. Feels good, doesn't it? Like after the bath.
I really liked the actors, so honestly, looking at them, I enjoyed, the cast was selected very well. Three main suicides: Eugene Stychkin, Alexei Vorobyov, Oksana Akinshina. I really liked Stychkin in the TV series “The Bachelors”, a very pleasant and talented actor, he is just good for comedy. Alexei Vorobyov is not clear who. Whether he is a singer or an actor is unclear. Before this film, I had a negative attitude towards him, because I knew him only as a singing person, and as a singer I did not like him, and I do not like the singer, who flock to the movies. Alexei Vorobyov in this film revealed to me as a very good actor. I call Oksana Akinshina the future of Russian cinema.
What do people want before they die? In short, it's three things: revenge, love and rock 'n' roll.
She was impeccable in the film “Styliagi”, and here she showed herself no worse. Three of our heroes decide to commit suicide, but before killing themselves, each of them helps to fulfill the last wish of his friend. A few days later, friends suddenly become the founders of a suicidal club, which attracts people who are ready to commit suicide. Every day, another attempt to kill yourself ends with thinking about yesterday and the life that has lived. Most importantly, I saw the trailer for this movie, I heard a lot about it, but I didn’t dare to see it, it was a shame to waste time in vain. You see how reluctant I and everyone else are to watch Russian movies, which is bad because there are exceptions.
According to statistics, only one in ten suicides is successful.
- And let's make a trash-parody of "Fight Club" only about suicides?
- Yes, and add scenes with "dumb cops" (tm) as in "Taxi"? Huh? What's so funny?
- Yes, and robberies with machines!
That’s probably how the film was created.
As a result, as you would expect, a disgusting, really dead, filled with stupid and meaningless dialogue “but with a claim to depth” (c) of cinema happened. Play actors, especially the main characters terrible from beginning to end, I do not know whose merit here: themselves or the director. The only bright moment in this regard is the appearance of Kutsenko, well, the Finn is funny.
In short, for a good comedy, everything is too dull and stretched for quality thrash - boring, kind and too much on "philosophy." If we were going to do thrash, we had to bend to the end. In a word, the genre of this film can be defined as “tolerant”, moralizing, sometimes boring mud.
Unfortunately, the premiere of the film could not get and the viewing was postponed indefinitely. Fortunately, the viewing still took place and the film left the most positive impressions that a comedy shot in our beloved country can leave. With all my respect for the national cinema, I was sincerely convinced that comedy is not our genre. However, the last couple of years I have been convinced of the opposite, and 'Suicides' one example of this.
Yes, the cast could be stronger (singers should sing, not take away the bread from the actors), all faces are almost familiar and humor in places does not reach, but in general, the film leaves a pleasant impression and surprise from what was filmed in Russia. The plot itself is simple, but not beaten, camera work and soundtracks do not attract attention, but do not spoil the impression of viewing. In my opinion, the creators did not have the courage to move from the good old payback movie to something more interesting, more original, and for this there were all chances.
All right. We're suicidal. Nothing is impossible for us. We don’t have tomorrow, so we don’t care for today. We don't care about anything. Okay?
Why? Why are Russian films with good intentions still average? The same actors, from Akinshina through Strizhenov, direct course with Basharov to Stychkin in Kutsenko, and the only fresh face is Vorobyov, who, I am afraid, will soon also be crumbling.
Well, in principle, the plot is interesting, easy and not stressful. If you don’t like black humour, you’ll miss it. By the way, the humor here, frankly, not very. After watching the trailer, everything else can be missed. I only smiled a couple of times, and then closer to the middle, things started to get annoying. Especially these “Stanislav” speeches about how beautiful the sky is, which is taken away from us and which we do not appreciate, fighting for life, crushing each other. How tired are these eternal lamentations of drunken peasants that our power is our bread and parish. Now "wail" young children while adults play with death.
In general, the three main characters look smart only in appearance. It is clear that physically dying is easier. Any normal deranged person would have long ago been lying in pieces in the crematorium, while Alexei, Tolik and Marina turned on the gas, flew through apartments, jumped into the hole, fulfilled their own and others’ wishes, organized a “suicide fight club”. And long live the undisguised advertising of the sponsor of "Russian Radio" on a balloon, which once again proves how much a commercial project for the masses to please themselves has gone crazy... who we have there... a certain "pioneer-individual-cinemato-graphic-niv-Russian-poshiba" Yegorushka Baranov. Simply put, the debutante.
In the second half of the session, the comedy is complemented by a non-docriminal underdrama with under-realized under-philosophy - in short, everything is banal. If we didn’t use gangster coolness in our movie, that’s our hallmark. And when all this tinsel tries to promote a treatise on the meaning of life - guys, it's funny from the attempt, not the plot. Who taught me to play this aunt who, in the sixties, utters a whole ode of praise against betrayal? I didn't believe her a bit. Even Basharov believes a little more. Except that Vorobyov is trying not to be like himself. Stychkin - Stychkin, Kutsenko - Kutsenko, Haapasalo - Russian Finn, Akinshina - passed in an even tone, episodic personalities are episodic in themselves. That's the kind of adult game.
There are also good moments, there is a living vein, there is an understanding of the senselessness of suicide, satire with a “bugger”. Plus a cool, positive ending, good music on the credits... And then, I do not want to say that “Suicide” did not like, and that Russian modern cinema is not bathed in the audience’s love. Apparently, I was expecting something completely different, although expectations have not gone far global. It’s just an average movie about crazy people who come together for a single absurd goal. Funny.
Having watched the trailer for Suicide for the first time, I decided that it is probably not worth spending money on this, but it is quite possible to watch one evening. The very fact that the script did not put the hand of Slepaks and Comedy club has already inspired confidence, as it is after all the “Best films” and “Hitler Caputs” just want to let yourself a bullet in the forehead. And so, a few months later, I had a free evening, which I decided to spend on Suicide.
According to statistics, everyone at least once a year thinks about suicide. At the moment, about 1% of the world’s population thinks about it.
The film was cheerful, cheerful and even life-affirming. There is a fair share of farce and absurdity without which comedy would not have worked. And do not compare with “Reach the sky”, there is still a drama with a claim to realism, and here is quite the opposite genre. What pleases - no jokes "below the belt", but the comedy of situations and absurdity there. The episode with the fall from the 16th floor made me laugh in my voice. Bravo! And the morgue episode I would have taken on. That's brilliant! All these stupid vanillaks, who are attracted to the topic of suicide, should be taken to the morgue and show the corpses for prevention - the dope in the head will instantly decrease.
If you think carefully, you can easily name a hundred or two reasons for which you should immediately put a bullet in your forehead and only one to live.
From Vorobyov, the actor turned out to be mediocre, but Stychkin and Akinshina pleased, the appearance of Kutsenko was also not surprising. Now all the films with Kutsenko – humble yourself, a tribute to time. You don’t have to kill yourself because of that.
Life is the longest path in death.
Comedy, when you think about it, is not about death. And not even the proverbial desires. Appreciate your life and live in the present – this is what the authors tell us. The film was really positive and maybe it’s just the first step. Compared to past comedies, this is just a breakthrough. Not really, but we have to start somewhere. And "Suicide" is a good start.
What are you willing to die for?
When I had a very difficult period in my life, I was brought out of depression by the anime “Goodbye, joyless sensei”, the phrase from which was ideal for the title of this review. I think next time I’ll definitely revisit Suicide.
The movie was good, but could have been better. Let’s keep trying.
"Suicide" - a picture with a swing at the status of the favorite domestic audience in the genre of comedy with black humor.
But that didn't happen. Debutant in the director's chair Egor Baranov, such a feeling, could not bring it to the end. Roughly speaking, the tape can be divided into several stages, based on genre development. The beginning is clearly melodramatic: two main characters, one is a quite successful young man, a lady's favorite, the second is a clear loser, trying to commit suicide. Melodramas are quite a bit, but then everything is perceived as a comedy, which is emphasized by the scene with a jump down from a high-rise building. We follow further and are already immersed in personal dramas with elements of the action movie, because there are enough shots and corpses, by the way.
It is these constant changes and influenced the holistic feeling left by the picture. A bunch of bloated episodes, slurred screenings and weak dialogue, as well as a long ending, all this, in the end, more annoying than intriguing. If you go away for some time for popcorn, then when you return, you realize that you did not miss anything.
Actors' game? Like the film itself, the moments are good, moments unemotional. It is pointless to choose who liked from the main characters, who from the second-rate characters is absolutely the same, it is already so common for us that the most famous actors will play in the background, but only to maintain the brand, and not for the game itself and the characters.
I did not find anything in the tape personally for myself, which is why I do not understand all this advertising campaign around the premiere, the soundtrack and then much brighter.
4 out of 10
When I started watching this movie, I expected more. This film, like many Russian films, is a pathetic parody of Hollywood. It's in the spirit of Quentin Tarantino. But that's half the trouble. Robert Rodriguez also makes films of this genre, but this does not prevent them from being unique. The same “masterpiece of Russian cinema” was created from several films, to which Quentin had a hand, and by the way, not only his films echo this “wonderful picture”. For example, in the episode with a prostitute at a sports school, you can immediately see a parallel with the film by Tony Scott “True Love”, one of the screenwriters of which was Quentin Tarantino. Or even take the fact that the main characters did not want to live, and so they finally decided to bully – a tracing from the film. To reach the heavens (Tarantino has nothing to do with it). You can give many more examples, but it will be too long and uninteresting.
The second thing that really struck me was the cast. The only actors who deserve respect and they just need to create a monument not man-made for the fact that they agreed to star in this picture are Evgeny Stychkin and Gosha Kutsenko. Gosha Kutsenko - perfectly played a crazy pimp. So what, that the film has episodes with his participation, which are based on such films as "Revolver" and "True Love"? Still, he says very interesting phrases that are remembered and become quotes in everyday life. Evgeny Stychkin just perfectly played a man who has long wanted to commit suicide, unlike his like-minded people in the film. Alexei Vorobyov is not an actor, but a singer. Why, please, would you like to go where you know nothing? Oksana Akinshina - no comments. All of her roles are a disaster for movies.
In general, our directors, screenwriters, actors and other members of the film crew still need a very long time to study, so that Russian films would not be ashamed to watch.
The film seems to be made from several pieces. Brilliant idea (although it echoes “Reaching the sky”, great actors (but who for some reason decided that playing suicide is not to express any emotions and say text without intonation), cool costumes, scenery. However, all this is molded if not with snot, then with garbage tape, which has not glued for a long time and stinked in order.
You don’t know whether to be happy or cry. It could have turned out so well. But, alas, the beginning was great, but the remaining 70% of the film I missed.
No logic in the behavior of heroes, no logic in the behavior of state structures. As a result, the black comedy turned into a set of scenes, where the actors remake without interest the text written by strange scriptwriters who could not even come up with a common integral concept.
The other day I watched a sad-serious comedy American, bouncer called. What in the atmosphere, what in integrity, what in the presentation this picture surpasses Suicides at times. There is no such thing as “genius” meaning.
About the point. Yes, suicide is bad. Everyone knows that. And if you talk about it from the screen, you will not say anything new! Especially in a genre like comedy. It doesn't catch, it doesn't knock out a tear, it doesn't get goosebumps. Although they should, the topic is delicate, people have found a New Life, reincarnated, a shift in the character of the hero, everything is like a textbook!
1 out of 10.
It's just because I give grades. If you like it, 10 out of 10. Didn't like it - one. For some reason, it seems that my threes and sixes will not solve anything. But I want to raise the film to the Olympus so much that I liked it and trample into the dirt the one that I did not like.
