I started watching only because the cast included actor Jang Geun Suk, whom I fell in love with after watching the drama. You're beautiful. But at the end of the review, I did not regret a second spent on this drama. You know, I never thought that I was not particularly interested in classical music so fascinated by a drama with such a plot.
I like that all the heroes here strived for their dreams no matter what. And a cabaret trumpeter, and an old man with dementia, and a schoolgirl. All of them did not give up and firmly followed their dream - to perform in the city orchestra. No wonder they were able to hook the maestro to something that he began to study with them, with their confidence!
All the actors played at a decent level. She also personally discovered such a talented actor - Kim Myung Min. Neither did Geun Suk disappoint me. My suspicions about his talent were not unfounded. His Gong Woo is just the embodiment of goodness. When he was upset about Tu Ru Mi, I started to cry.
In this drama, a very good ending, this rarely happens in Korea.

P.S. I am grateful to Geun Sook for watching such a magical, charming and soulful series from him. Good to see you all!!
Without music, life would be a mistake. Friedrich Nietzsche once said that, and he was absolutely right. Since music, like any of the existing forms of art, unambiguously brings to our lives a certain beauty, meaning and integrity. Even despite the dominant emphasis of many creative people exclusively in the direction of commerce, and only then - relative to their invaluable creativity.
So in the drama shot by director Lee Jae Gyu, we see exactly such an arrangement of things, in which music is not a fascination for the main characters of the drama, but rather the meaning of their life, the source of their vitality, love and everything else, and it does not matter who they are in life, an ordinary housewife, or a musician in a cheap cabaret. They are united by their passion for music, which they express in no way by words, but by their unique talents and capabilities, resulting in truly magnificent interpretations of the works of such brilliant composers as Beethofen, Mozart and many others.
I personally liked the drama madly and frankly, being a former musician and an ardent fan of classical music, I personally got an indescribable pleasure from watching it. Not only how accurately the creators of the drama reflected all the musical terms and the performance of individual overtures, but also how deeply and beautifully they revealed the theme of the heroes’ love for music and the very concept of the beauty of musical works. So much so that I watched the scenes of the orchestral performances of the characters with great pleasure and as if I were in the forefront of a theater in which a real and professional orchestra performs.
I want and willingly believe all this, and thanks to the luxurious performance of the actors. Kim Myung Mi played the role of Maestro Kahn. His character is essentially very complex and from this insanely interesting, and the play of the actor made his character truly the most charismatic hero of the whole drama. Thus, giving the opportunity more than once will be amazed at how his character is transformed on the screen. Especially against the background of how disgusting, smug and selfish he was shown at the beginning, and how he appeared in the final frames of the drama.
Excellent coped with his task and favorite girls Zhang Geun Sok. The guy is very charismatic and talented. That he willingly demonstrates this once again and only consolidates the title of the ideal candidate for the main role of the project associated with both myom music and the world of creativity in general. Li Ji A made a rather blurred impression. In the beginning, she played well and the character was quite interesting, but towards the end, the actress’s game begins to bite, and the character is not taken in the best direction. Although summing up, I want to say that the entire cast played on hurrah and I sincerely penetrated with each special sympathy.

The Beethoven virus is a real ode and recognition of love to classical music, which pours out as far as possible from the usual standards for Korean dramas and recognizing in love the magnificent works of legendary composers with a worldwide reputation. If for you the world of music is not just music, but something more, then you will enjoy watching and I am sure of this.
Beethoven Virus is an amazing drama that will not leave anyone indifferent. This is a drama about completely different people, their problems (in this case, I would even call the drama vital), how they fought and overcome them. Here you can not even say "secondary heroes" because there are many main ones, and none of them is like the other: a lonely old man who worked in the orchestra for 30 years, a woman who broke out of the family walls where she is not noticed, a student who dropped out of school because there was not enough money, a cabaret trumpeter, a double bassist with two children and his wife, a former civil servant and a talented trumpeter-self-taught: they are united by one thing - love of music.
The most important characters.
Maestro Kang Gong Woo (Kim Myung Min, the main roles in the dramas are the king of drama, the white tower, the bad family). Wow. This word fits the description of an actor who played such a strong personality. Honestly, I tried to imagine how the actor is preparing for filming, learning to conduct: it did not work! Just incredibly got used to the role, created the image of a real person. Talent, talent, has already added dramas with him to the viewing list.
Kang Gong W. Kang Gong Woo namesake of the famous maestra, a self-taught genius. I love to look at different images of Geun Sok and never cease to admire his talent to play. In this drama, he is a guy with a good heart who can not leave a person in trouble and who is ready to fight for his dreams.
Tu Ru Mi (played by actress Lee Ji A, known to us from the film “Love is blind” and the drama “I am also a flower!”) dreams of becoming a member of the orchestra and performing on stage, will she succeed, will she be able to prove to Maestro Kanu that she is capable of something?
Maestro Kang and Gong Woo find it difficult to get along, since the first is sharp, straightforward, rough, demanding (not only to others!) But to himself too) while Gong Woo is the exact opposite of him and tries to please his teacher. And do you think a teacher would like to be placed or lowered to the same level as their student?? Especially when he has worked hard and persevered in everything he has. . .
The drama is definitely worth watching. I'd like to say, 'Watch it especially for those who love musical dramas.' But I can't! Everyone should watch it: soul-piercing music, good dynamics of the plot, a beautiful play of actors and the vitality of the drama, moments where you can cry for joy for the heroes or vice versa empathize with them - will touch everyone. And yes, if you do not play or dream of playing musical instruments, then after the drama you want even stronger.
And again: if you like Geun Sok and (or) images of guys with a good heart, then a couple of times you want to kill the screenwriter.
P. By the way, who did not know: Geun Suk refused the main role in the drama “Flowers after the berries” for the sake of playing in “Beethoven Virus”. I totally trust my Oppa! And I advise you.

Music is not just notes; it is part of our hearts.
After watching, there were a lot of impressions. Drama will always be my favorite. The cast and musical design were simply gorgeous!
As a musician, I was very pleased to see that classical music is still popular today. People are mostly listening to modern songs. But the drama clearly showed what kind of music really conquered time. I enjoyed the works of the most famous classics. Not just Beethoven or Mozart, but others. When you watch a movie, you don’t know what kind of music comes with it. But here everything was clear to me (my heart beat happily when I heard a familiar melody).
I would like to pay special attention to the thin line that runs through the plot. It's the heroes' passion for music. Housewife, cabaret guy, deaf, self-taught genius... Despite the circumstances and the resistance of fate, they tried to do what their heart told them. They did not look for an easy path and did not give up their dreams when a mountain of obstacles arose before them. Perhaps that is why they managed to win over the impregnable Maestro.
The series was made very professionally. Everything was true and exceeded my expectations (and I certainly know what it is to prepare for a concert). In many films, a professional musician will notice that the actor does not really know how to play an instrument. But in this case, I was never able to distinguish between skill and pretense. By the way, I often notice that the things that people have are very similar to them. Therefore, I believe that the dog Thoven is very well chosen and fits the style of Maestro Kahn. That's why I thank you.
Well, since the series combines my favorite music and actors, my assessment, of course:

Oh. I started watching this drama three times, but before I even got to the middle of the first series, I turned it off. Everything seemed boring and boring to me. Okay, I'll be honest. The short-haired Jang Geun-suk was not happy either. But then somehow it went and... Now I lost count of how many times I have already watched the drama.
There is no desire to analyze the main characters, because then the verbal fountain will no longer shut up. Let’s try to be brief.
Tu Ru Mi is charming and charming, cheerful, believing in miracles, strong, striving for her dream, despite obstacles. This is one of the few female characters (not only specifically from this drama) who does not cause irritation or desire to hit something stupid and heavy.
The actress is very good.
Good Gong Woo is just an angel, fluffy on the outside, but with a steel rod inside. When he smiled, he looked like a cat. But for some reason it was not pathetic (about the love line). He didn’t fit in, I think. Like not for him.
This is Geun Sook's best role. Not only did he glitter, but he also played.
Bad Gong Woo is a character that I can't shut up when I start talking about. Just admiration. Hero as well as actor.
The images are perfect, even the secondary characters. You believe and empathize with them with all your heart.
The love line was something special. A thin, almost invisible thread. But so much feeling, so much emotion. In rare moments of romance, for some reason, even breathing loudly was scary. It’s like once! and everything will break. Perfect. That's the middle ground.
Music is something special. Someone said right, in this drama you feel like your skin. To the trembling knees.
In general, there were many words, but now it seems that there is nothing to say.
The ending is great. There's still a bit of sad happiness left.
