- I feel like I’m sitting naked... Horrible! It's like that! — — Cold, what? or? If you come back to the film over and over again, it means that something in this film is really important for the soul and heart, it means that in the plot, in every frame, in the game of actors, in the very atmosphere of the film there is that measure of authenticity that nourishes a person with hope and joy of recognizing familiar and close to you people, over and overflows with a sense of the hidden truth of life.
Actors do not just perform “passing” roles, but live (!), which means that conjugating inside you with certain strings, become your friends, neighbors, fellow villagers, that is, part of your being. It was in this film that it was finally possible, along with the well-deserved popular actresses (Yulia Kadushkevich and Anna Kozyuchits), to identify the magnificent Olga Kuzmina and the sharp Tatiana Cherdyntseva. Especially remembered the mother of the main character (Svetlana Nikiforova) with an attempt to “help” his son to find happiness. In each episode, her own fate was read, which is especially important in the acting and in the skill of the director.
Scenes with men (very texturally complement the female images), with a drink, an alcoholic meeting from the army, a conversation with a teenager, a feast with relatives, the revelations of girlfriends about their expectations. The imprint of the city on the faces and habits and the opposing tone of the Russian rural hinterland. Everything is recognizable, without dirt, with respect for the identity of a person.
If you do not obscure perceptions with snobbery, but try to rejoice in the integrity and natural beauty of human feelings and relationships, then the film is the undoubted success of director Yusup Razykov and his team.
